ABC News Allows Casual Use of Pejorative ‘Teabagger’ Term

Townhall: The term has become so mainstreamed by the Obama-friendly media that they are able to say it without any sense of its inappropriateness or biased context.

WHaaaaaaa!

Sniff-sniff.

Whaaaaaaaaaaa!

Mark   October 19th, 2009 - 9:10 pm

Maybe Democrats and Libs are stupid. Or maybe they engage in the insult because
they know the FCC will let it slip through. They do it because they can, and do
so knowlingly.

Teabagging: (verb) Engaging in a sexual act involving the laying-on of a man’s testicles
on the face of the other party engaged in sexual interaction.

H2K   October 19th, 2009 - 9:12 pm

Why not. MSNBC, for instance, is very comfortable with s3xual perversion, so a term like “tea-bagging” flows very naturally out of their mouths.
How about “toss’n da salad” in stead of “hope n’ change”?
How about “a Dirty Sanchez” for describing CNN’s very liberal Rick Sanchez?

We can all play that game. This administration of Obama’s think we’re ignorant. They will be very surprised in about 1 year and 2 weeks.

dontflagmebro   October 19th, 2009 - 9:14 pm

We are on the verge of a civil war. These people are idiots pouring gasoline on the timber. They better stock up on blindfolds and cigarettes, is what Glenn Beck said last week I think.

stacy   October 19th, 2009 - 9:16 pm

I like her — who is she?

Who cares about the term “tea bagger”?

Isn’t it just as sick as “deep throat”?

The dems are gross. They think it is cute and funny. They love to seem hip. If only they were smart — they would be interesting.

David   October 19th, 2009 - 9:19 pm

Sure, maybe Anderson Cooper and Chris Matthews can demonstrate tea-bagging. They ought to know.

Conservatives aren’t prudes, we just want to illuminate the subtle put-downs
of the Left, or their ignorance of the words they use, whichever it is.
Mark

Mark   October 19th, 2009 - 9:33 pm

Yes, David. Maybe Chris Matthews and Anderson Cooper can teabag each other
simultaneously. Mark

Terry Tibbs   October 19th, 2009 - 9:39 pm

LOL! E.J. is like some sort of character actor playing a liberal – he literally drools like he just came from the dentist. Does this guy have a novocaine habit?

BJC   October 19th, 2009 - 9:43 pm

When I heard that yesterday I thought the same thing. They use the word and no one says a word. Funny most of the ones using it are the gay liberal men.

stacy   October 19th, 2009 - 9:46 pm

Wow that is Peggy Noonan? She looks . . . like someone else!

Freddy   October 19th, 2009 - 9:52 pm

Well, now that we have the ‘Name Caller in CHief’ in the White House, what can be expected from the liberal, progressive, and communist tv personalities?

pepito cojones   October 19th, 2009 - 9:53 pm

Yes that’s true because they’re expert at tea-bagging themselves!!! I mean the actual act at tea-bagging. Ha-Ha-ha!!!

I'm just saying   October 19th, 2009 - 10:11 pm

I don’t know you tell me…is it better to be the tea bagger or the tea baggee? for instance lets say I’m a tea bagger and whatwhatwhat is a tea baggee. who’s the bottom in this scenario?

oldbluesboy   October 19th, 2009 - 10:18 pm

You can’t talk reason with unreasonable people. These “experts” don’t understand in-depth news.

Infidel   October 19th, 2009 - 10:20 pm

By Mohammed’s GAY BALLS, they shouldn’t treat people like that. It’s disrespectful. Their are going to pay for this. Mohammed Damnit!

They shouldn’t swear either.

Just Sayin   October 19th, 2009 - 10:30 pm

Whoever claimed ABC was a legitimate news organiziation. They report the news that team Obozo wants them to report. Nothing more, nothing less.

Robert   October 19th, 2009 - 10:31 pm

I sent an official complaint to abc news.

Hopefully theres a public appology.

student1776   October 19th, 2009 - 10:34 pm

No surprise ABC staffers are comfortable with the term teabagging. They were familiar in a very direct way with the term long before the Tea Party movement began.

Imugsy   October 19th, 2009 - 11:00 pm

Poor Misspiggy Noonan. Bless her heart. She so very much loves to hear herself talk. Surely she exhausts herself each time, laboring as she does to sound intelligent and convince her listeners (if any) by facial expressions and precise diction that she is painfully sacrificing herself that we may understand, convinced though she is that we are just not up to it. Poor, poor Misspiggy.

snaggletoothie   October 19th, 2009 - 11:02 pm

Noonan ought to be more careful who she throws in with. Plainly she has chosen to join the crowd that calls conservatives tea baggers. Doesn’t she know that the side she has chosen will probably not buy many of her books. Maybe it is something like an issue of conscience to her to ape those she has chosen to serve.
I sometimes wonder if most lefties just have no historical frame of reference for tea parties and all that computes for them is what they know from frat parties and gay bars. It is plain that the fact that this use of the word is insulting and dehumanizing is a big plus for them.

jbone   October 19th, 2009 - 11:08 pm

who are we teabagging anyway? i thought they were on the receiving end anyhow, so who cares.. just don’t bite it!!

txmike   October 19th, 2009 - 11:12 pm

I bet maddow would have better results in teabagging AC360 vice matthews. In other words matthews lacks a pair unlike senoir pepito.

Also when is abc gonna do another health care special suck up for team OGOOBER? ABC’S PERSPECTIVE is sooo valued.

Switalla   October 19th, 2009 - 11:33 pm

The Left are post children for sneering, crass ugliness: complements their inherent sociopathy.

Who is surprised by it?

ERS   October 19th, 2009 - 11:33 pm

The grandmas and grandpas that went to the tea parties had to look up the term that these people use so easily. We were the silent majority for so long that now that we speak up the MSM are having a difficult time finding a word to describe us….something derogatory that they can say with a straight face in front of the camera but snicker about when off camera. The MSM are trying hard to destroy the conservative reputation while demeaning it…all the time acting like this is serious news and the MSM really cares about the little people.

I lifted Harry Hay’s lovely skirt, and he tea-bagged me until I almost gagged to death.(It was fun, though)

Tiffany   October 19th, 2009 - 11:51 pm

I know, it’s totally disgusting, and it’s also a misnomer. Tea partiers are Americans just looking for some credibility and accountability. Teabaggers are the ones who lay around while things are put in their mouths and shoved down their throats. So who are the real teabaggers, because it sounds like…I don’t know, the ignorant libs?

Mark   October 19th, 2009 - 11:53 pm

I think George Stephanopolous and Anderson Cooper teabag each other on their
off hours. They’re both about the same height………short.
Mark

E-dog   October 20th, 2009 - 12:00 am

Talk about a couple of teabaggers Stephaon and this other shrimp. If either one could grow a pair they would be perfect canidates.

dontflagmebro   October 20th, 2009 - 12:21 am

Idiots Teabagger in the sexual context is not what they mean by Tea Party member. And if you think it is then your probably a kid that’s been playing too many FPS combat games (they kneel a bunch of times to make it look like humping a dead video game enemy).

josh   October 20th, 2009 - 12:32 am

and the j’s wonder why there is so much hatred and backlash against them later on.

Veritas   October 20th, 2009 - 12:33 am

Keep calling us “tebaggers” we don’t care. That is a play to your base libtards. Names won’t mean jack. We are about to let lose an energy that you will not prevail against.

FROM BROWN TO GREEN   October 20th, 2009 - 12:50 am

Hmmm… Sounds like the LEFT’s version of “TEABAGGING” is a lot like “BROWN-NOSING” only in this case the nose gets GREEN.

–All of which has NOTHING to do with the TEA PARTIES occurring around the country in protest of the outrageous CRAP going on in Wash, DC!

P.S. If you really want to get “steamed,” check out this page of definitions of teabagging/teabaggers:

OK, so let me get this straight…
If we use a slur or obscenity often enough, it becomes -mainstream-?

Well, I’m going push for the N-word to become a casual acceptance by using it everywhere I go and in my discussions ith everyone.

“Eeny, meeny, miney, moe…catch a…

Early Cuyler   October 20th, 2009 - 1:53 am

Let them use the term “teabagger” all they want; no one watches these networks, anyway. I can’t wait to watch these people cry in 2010 and 2012. Obama’s one-term presidency is going to make Jimmy Carter look good, and the media libs are going to go down with the ship.

Kagiso Edwards   October 20th, 2009 - 5:14 am

If the MSM wants to tea bag each other to the cows come home and then finish the job for them .. FINE .. BUT REAL AMERICANS ARE GOING TO SPEAK OUT AND GET THIS COUNTRY GOING IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION AGAIN before Obama the Zero destroys everything! MSM go tea bag yourselves since that is your favorite naughty word.

Does anyone know where one can tune into Fox News online? They used to carry it on Tikilive but its gone now.

jemimah   October 20th, 2009 - 9:33 am

these people are completely demoralized – they think it chic to use because they know the term describes their conduct as opposed to the patriots who have legitimate complaints.

It’s funny how more and more these shows on the alphabet channels begin to resemble those on The Onion News Network.

Mike   October 20th, 2009 - 1:45 pm

About two weeks ago, Gwen Ifill used the same term and added “or whatever they’re called”.

I wrote to them, defining the term and warning that they’d better not use it again. I haven’t heard it since.

The term is hilarious because the Teabaggers PICKED IT FOR THEMSELVES. They made their bed, they can lie in it. I’m not a Lefty, but I still think it’s hilarious that it got as far as it did as a self-chosen label before anybody said “hey, wait, that’s a slang term for something awful”.
