The Town Hall meetings are where it is to be…where they listen to “us” and why we do not want an overhaul of the best healthcare in the world.

Cancelled my memebership after the second GWB election. It was apparent during that election that they were using my money to support policies/candidates that I found onerous and when the took on Glover as a spokesman – that was the final straw. Cut up my card and mailed it back to them.

AARP has been the single biggest advocate of a “single-payer” Canadian style health care system for the last 30 years at least. They were behind the failed Clinton attempt at socialized medicine. AARP wants total socialism in the health care economy. Is it any wonder they don’t want opposition to the Obama health care take over? AARP stands for one thing – more benefits for Senior Citizens paid for by younger working people. They want a single-payer system so that all health care expenses including the fabulously expensive long-term care for nursing home seniors is covered by the Federal Government. That way, their 20 million plus members can push Congress to enact any new and expensive benefit they want – and the future generations can pay for it! More freedom loving activists need to get into the AARP reps. face! It’s time to say NO! to one of the worst socialist lobbies!

AARP is pretty much a left-wing group. The sad thing is that so many deluded people know nothing about current events and political issues and think AARP actually represents the interests of senior citizens.

I have been receiving AARP Membership literature for years, but have never sent them a penny. I would council everyone to drop their membership. They never poll their members, they just tell them what they should think without asking.

I work for a consumer market research firm and AARP recently commissioned a public opinion poll with us. One of the questions on the poll was “Have you ever been denied treatment or services by your insurance company?”

I NEVER, and I mean NEVER got one respondent that said yes. Nobody that I spoke with had EVER been denied treatment by their insurer. AARP KNOWS this information and here they have their “volunteers” telling these people the exact opposite.

Ya gotta wonder, folks. . .what’s the agenda here? Why the lies? Why the collusion? It’s time for Americans to keep up this pressure and REFUSE to have this crap forced upon us.

Here’s a message for you Eileen. The majority of us want a health insurance alternative with at least a public option. Obama was elected to shake things up in the healthcare market. The insurance companies have been hosing us for years. Don’t want government healthcare, fine, opt out of Medicare.
Aren’t using Medicare, fine then encourage all your relatives and friends who are on Medicare or Medicaid to opt out. If you’re on Medicare or Medicaid and are protesting about public funded healthcare, you’re a hypocrite!

I have repeatedly snubbed AARP, and talked my parents (78 and 87) into cancelling their membership years ago. AARP is a front organization for the “progressives” and any money you send their way will be used to take away more of your freedoms in the name of safety, health care, social “security” and other “benefits”. It’s a high price to pay for a little money off on car rentals and hotel room rates.

AARP, unions, and other similar organizations should be promoting/pushing the desires of the membership and NOTHING MORE. Any time an organization needs to “sell” an idea to their membership, then they are doing it WRONG.

Before an organization (as a single enitity) takes a poistion on any issue, they need to poll the members. If the members vote overwhelmingly in one direction or the other then that is the position of the group. If the members are divided, then the organization shouldn’t take a position.

AARP formerly stood for American Association of Retired Persons, but they had to drop that name when the limited number of retired members was not sufficient to feed their greed. AARP now sends out their junk mail to 50 year olds. AARP derives more money from selling supplemental health insurance policies than they get from member dues. AARP is one of those huge greedy corporations that appears ready to cash in on Obama’s plan.

AARP has been after me for fifteen years to join. I will not join because the organization is a mouthpiece for the leftists in Washington DC. When AARP starts demanding that our Federal government stop tormenting American citizens, I may consider membership. All you naysayers, please get off the medicare plan – and please commit here and now that you do not want to be covered by any type of new Obama led healthcare. If you promise you will pay out of your pocket for the great health care you are receiving privately, then I think the rest of us will be fine and be able to make the numbers work on the public plan.

If you have a great private plan, please publish the results here so I can get my $1850 MONTHLY prescriptions covered when I turn 65 in February. The AARP spokespeople claiming that they never endorsed any health care plan is a flat-out lie! My father received a letter in the mail for him to sign his support for Obamacare months ago.

He told them where to put it and gave very specific directions, too, if you catch my drift.

I saw an AARP representative interviewed on Fox. All he could keep repeating was that AARP would never support a single payer system. He ignored the clip (uncut) of Obama saying that eventually we would get to a single payer system with his plan.

Uh, Stormy, I already pay for my insurance thanks. I don;t need to sign any “opt-out” card for a scialized medicine system that I do not favor and in fact, vehemnetly oppose.

Furthermore, I’m sure the “rest of you” will get along just fine until the socialized model collapses and eats everyone around it, including us who you mockingly suggest should “opt out”.

Why? Becauue the limited number of folks like you don’t PAY any taxes, or precious few at that.

And mainly, because government-run programs SUCK. Governments SUCK at crafting and delivering value to citizens: especially running the existing healthcare programs and social security system they have foisted on us in the first place.

So when do congresscritters and liberal advocacy groups such as the AARP get it that at a Town Hall meeting there are times to simply shut up and listen?

Oh, and yes, these vile and violent fake protesters were so well-dressed, it was pathetic they didn’t know to be “real” (i.e., liberal) protesters they had to go without showering for three weeks, let their hair become rats’ nests, and wear their pants below their buttocks. Some of these fake protesters even looked like they may be wearing clothes from Wal-Mart!

That one fake protester who gave that long speech — man, he deserves an Oscar for his fake emotion, his fake outrage, his fake and manufactured sincerity! I haven’t seen acting this good since Ronald Reagan was in B movies! Wow, I sure am glad Gibbels, Pelousy and Babs Boxer turned me on to this astroturf show. Better than Jon Minus Kate Plus Eight!

I never dreamed that I would ever live to see a time when I am hesitant to even publish or speak my thoughts for fear that I would be targeted by the government for my excercise of free speech. I am in my late 60’s and will NEVER join AARP due to their highly political one sided support of these liberal agendas. I have never been denied any healthcare that I have needed, but have great fear for the future that the day will come when I will be denied, since, according to the Czars that Obama has placed in charge I have already lived out my usefullness. I pray daily that America will wake up and pay attention to what these people have said, written, and profess to believe about the value of life at various ages. I hate to think what this country is going to look like 5 years from now, if I am allowed to live that much longer. Anyone that would publish a paper that says that a young adolescent child’s death is more tragic than an infant’s death because they already have been an investment of training and knowledge is straight from the minds of people like Hitler.

First of all, this entire healthcare debacle is like hitting a hornet’s nest with a broom. And everyone knows that. So why do it?

Here is why -

Bank records – to STEAL whatever you have in your account upon death through government fiat. They will have communists such as Sotamayor writ along with others on the bench that the money in YOUR ACCOUNT is that of the state and not your rightful heirs.

Tax records – in order to retro-actively tax you after death for years and years and grab whatever they could not during the first year after your death. Family members who have inherited a home need to watch for seizure and and liens for years and years. Back taxes will be collected no matter what – even if a disabled person is thrown onto the street.

Rationing – everyone should know this, but just in case. Your value to the STATE will be determined by a governmental body. With more people entering the STATE system, and fewer doctors to actually see this influx- you do the numbers and you will see that there will certainly be rationing. As the baby boomers retire, the stress on the current system would be taxed, add in the social care and well, it’s a horrible time to be a baby boomer. Can’t say that you folks don’t deserve it after being the me me me generation for 50+ years… maybe it’s time you gave some back LOL… I know it’s a tough pill to swallow, (pun intended) but you have all mostly supported this Democrat cabal for years and years and as they say – pay backs are a b1tch. Rationing is a simple way to get rid of those not deemed valuable, so all you trust-funders, and non-google execs, I’d be a lil concerned.

Money grab vs. power grab – this is synonymous and this will be the largest grab ever. There will be no one able to start a business, launch a career, go to a medical school or business school in the near future as this will all be decided by the same government body that determines your over-all worth to the STATE – this is what socialism and communism does. They know best and you just follow orders. While the money is siphoned away in a tax scheme after death you and your family will be robbed of any of the generational wealth accumulation your family has acquired. Don’t believe me – just wait and see.

The crowd was very rude. AARP is not endorsing or sponsoring any bill. They, like anyone with a brain, supports healthcare reform in some way, shape, or form. If you want to have an anti-Obama rally, go have one. But don’t hijack a Town Hall meeting, point your fingers at an organization that fights everyday for your interests. What we have here is 80% of the population that does have healthcare saying, “I don’t give a rat’s a** about people who don’t have healthcare. Go f yourselves.” Then, of course they pat themselves on the back for being such great Christians and go clean their guns.

Who’s majority? A majority of democrats, or a majority of the American electorate?

AARP has been a left-wing support organization for decades, and is in the business of making money by preying on the fears of seniors. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm asked if there was an alternative organization, and I wonder about that too. AARP has been dogging me for years with their mailings, and Hell will freeze over before I send them dues so they can waste it supporting programs that are and will bankrupt our country. I would join a NEUTRAL seniors organization in a heartbeat, but AARP? No thanks!

Obama should just lay the cards on the table and be honest with the American people of his preference for socialism. I just hope when Congress flips next year to the Republicans it is not too late to save the future of the country, and they are more responsible about spending than the last time they were in the majority. Term limits should be a priority along with stopping the Chicago outlaw express that is Obama and his cronies.

Cut up my card and mailed it back to them. Called and cancelled my membership and when asked why – seling out seniors by supporting Obamacare, is NOT what I have given money to. Good riddance. Wonder how many others are doing the same?
