This is culturally accepted barbarism. Killing people who have done nothing other than express their adult, mutually accepted love for each other may be culturally unacceptable but killing them for this is absolutely barbaric because it eliminates their chance to accept the cultural norms as they mature (a punishment that is irrevocable and, so, can’t be reversed if found to be wrongly applied or if the victims would have eventually accepted the cultural norm), is worse than the perceived transgression, doesn’t question the validity and reasons for the violated cultural rule in a manner that takes into consideration normal human nontransgressional feelings (the ones the victims had for each other), and more, lots more.

When religion trumps reason, this is the result. It’s just that simple.

To the guy who said liberalism is about”…equality of results..” NO..that is communism, or in the soft form socialism.

Liberalism is about equality of OPPORTUNITY, acceptance of individual abilities, caring for those who CANNOT care for themselves ( not equality of results), defending freedom of speech from absurdities like “hate speech” laws, rule of law ( in our country..based on our constitution), the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, defending basic human rights regardless of who or where…hmmm, just off the top of my head.
