I’m not a greenie. I don’t believe in global warming. I think there is enough petroleum if we would only go after it. Having said that, it’s nice to see a competitive product. It’s competiton among the various transportation alternatives that will bring down the cost of all energy alternatives.

The late Julius Simon, a professor in economics, wrote a book titled “The Ultimate Resource”. This resource wasn’t petroleum, or solar, or wind power this resource was human ingenuity. We’ll eventually find a source of power that will surpass petroleum. Hopefully once this happens we can tell the Saudis and their ilk to pound sand!

It may be the first alternative vehicle marketed in the US, but at 100 grand who can afford it?

I can buy a lot of gasoline for $100,000, even at $4 a gallon.

And what is with this BS about zero emissions? Last time I checked, most electric plants are not nuclear, and Tesla does not sell a solar charging option for the car.

Why is NOBODY talking about the impact charging this car is going to have on my electricity bill? Please do!

It is now taking a coal powered electric plant to charge these things up. I have inflated my tires and rubber doll. It must be working, the gas prices are coming down.

Power your car and shut down the power grid due to overload… I’ll wait for car 2.0 – Lithium Ion batteries are normally good for about a year. What then? I like the creativity though and if they continue to use Lotus chassis, they will have more options shortly.

$100+ for this car is over the top even for those who can afford it. It should come with regen tech,as well as vibra shock that recharges the batteries on the move. Not (prepetual motion) This stuff is already out there for less money. Come on, the only thing holding back this event is the petroluem cartel and their surrogates, the auto mfg.they could be marketing gas cars getting 100mpg+ but would hurt the gasoline bottom line in sales.Greed, not green.
