Good for her.

Dawn Maloney   November 29th, 2007 - 8:33 pm

Yay Julia.
When are the paparazzi going to be held accountable? We love pix, we don’t want the celebs hurt or killed. Geez.

Bob Neitz   November 29th, 2007 - 9:11 pm

Good for her! I know these people put food on the table by selling unique photos of celebrities, but surely there must be some ethical guideline.

libsuk   November 29th, 2007 - 9:38 pm

Yeah, spoiled-rich-better than you kids, go to this school, yours don’t have a prayer in hell. F%&k celebrities.

Edward   November 29th, 2007 - 9:53 pm

F^*k celebrities. Millionaire actress environmental hypocrite driving a GIANT MERCEDES SUV!!!

Hey, all you libs! She’s driving a GIANT SUV!!!

Hypocrites!!

Go paparazzi! I love the paparazzi!

Belle   November 29th, 2007 - 9:58 pm

Good for Julia! I wonder if her talk sunk in?

Shane   November 29th, 2007 - 10:54 pm

Good job Julia. Why don’t you guys hire me to chase these fools around.Turn the tables on them.I could make a web site put up pictures of them and there families. I am related to Princes Diana. I have a very good reason for doing it.I’m sick of these fools!Let me know.

Vinne BB   November 29th, 2007 - 11:43 pm

Yep, she was absolutey right to do this.
It’s enough now with this sickening voyerism of these people. The problem doesn’t lie with the supplier (the gossip media), of the harvestors (the paparazzi), but with consumption addicts: the people who buy, read, watch, and surf this drug 24hrs a day.
These people need to start making some version of a life for themselves.
Julia just made me interested in seeing her work again. And that’s all I want to see of her; her work, not her life.

“Pretty Woman” Pretty Pissed : Celebotomy   November 30th, 2007 - 12:22 am

[...] Check out how Julia turns the tables on this paparazzo. He was apparently shooting at a school, looking for that all important shot of…well, somebody’s kids. [...]

J. Jensen   November 30th, 2007 - 1:10 am

Good for her! I agree that “public figures” should expect to have their “public” activities the subject of media coverage, but for crying out loud, their “private” lives should be left “private”. I don’t have a problem with the paparazzi covering their actions as they film a movie, or arrive at a concert or public event, etc., but I not only don’t have a right to know their private activities, I don’t give a rat’s you-know-what about their private stuff. And I dare say, they probably don’t care much about mine either, which is how it should be.

I think anyone who is more interested in the private life of these celebrities than they are in their own life is pretty pathetic. And these moronic people who insist on ranting and raving about the “spoiled rich” and “millionaire celebrities”, etc., just make me laugh out loud. How sad to be that jealous and feel so deprived.

Thank goodness we have people like Julia to provide us with terrific entertainment on the screen and to demonstrate good values in “real life”.

Dennis   November 30th, 2007 - 1:49 am

I hate the paparazzi!

They are scum.

I dont care what pictures they get, I dont want to see them…ever.

kunta   November 30th, 2007 - 2:28 am

she turned the tables alright, she drove recklessly, endangered innocent people just so she could run her fat mouth. She is a ‘C’!!

duh   November 30th, 2007 - 2:38 am

“I want to talk to you about the fact that you’re at a school where children go.”
yep! schools usually have children, Einstein!

Jeff Davis   November 30th, 2007 - 5:47 am

I don’t see where the school had anything to do with it. Except to try to use it as an emotional point to grandstand on.

Ho hum.

Dr Phildo   November 30th, 2007 - 7:50 am

Hey Julia! Hug a nut you dingy broad!

Peggy   November 30th, 2007 - 8:12 am

I am so glad the people who agree with Julia and George Clooney and others, outnumber the morons who have negative comments like above!!!

Just because celebrities are rich, famous, beautiful, elected officials, whatever…doesn’t mean they have no right to privacy, safety and protection for their selves, family and their children if any.

And just becuase the Constitution protects the press, those who fought and died for it didn’t do it to give people the right to do what they want, where they want, how they want in pursuit of money.

Just like it is illegal to yell FIRE in crowded places for no reason….it should be illegal for the press to come within so many feet of famous people of entertainment or politics.

When will editors wake up and realize people are actually dying due to their reporters and photographers!!!!!

Susan   November 30th, 2007 - 8:42 am

Julia Darling.. now youre a Mother.. you dont like the attention??? common honey.. you knew it went with the territory and now your getting all righteous on the Paparazzi? You asked for it sweetheart and you got it.. for the rest of your days.. every wrinkle, gray hair, sag etc.. and your kids are no exeception… you like free speech.. you demand it for yourself and NOW you re getting a real taste of it in the REAL world. btw.. you “pretended” to be a prostitute in Pretty Woman.. you re kids will take that more to heart than a Camera Man looking for a T and A shot from their mother.. after all, thats all youre good for.. try getting a role without showing some cleavage or leg. Your Nose is only going to get bigger if thats possible.. lol

Rich   November 30th, 2007 - 9:25 am

The most ignorant comments are from the pro-paparazzi crowd. The reality is that most people don’t want their kids photographed at their school so a future child molester / abductor / wacko won’t pursue that child at that school. C’mon people think a little deeper than your own selfishness.

Terry   November 30th, 2007 - 9:29 am

this has nothing to do with JR…this is about these voltures taking pictures at a school. If your child was friends with her children…and got caught in photos…photos then posted on the internet, would you be angry? Would you think that right, responsible? I, as a father, would be beyond angry. If you’re one of these pathetic people that buy a $8 magazine cause you want to see Ms. Roberts has some fat on her bum like the rest of us…well…then tell your therapist. If, in the process of taking that picture of her bum, my kid’s picture gets caught on the internet…then I have a problem.

pepper   November 30th, 2007 - 9:41 am

lol after he turned it off she cracked him in the head and wrote “looser” on his forehead with a sharpie. lol

Jocko   November 30th, 2007 - 9:48 am

“a school…where children go!”

What an imbecile.

Banafsheh   November 30th, 2007 - 10:22 am

GOOD FOR HER INDEED. Those whores with cameras are nothing but vipers who deserves to be chased, have their cameras smashed AND people who are so bored and whose lives are so pathetically empty who read and buy the filthy scum rags that print this stuff need to get a LIFE and realize that if the shoe was on the other foot, they’d lose it too.

Blogger1947   November 30th, 2007 - 10:59 am

We coped perfectly well in the “golden age” of movies and radio without the benefit of opportunistic photographers following entertainers everywhere in the hope of catching someone in an embarrassing moment, or looking less-than-perfect

By the way, absolutely anyone can be made to look bad for 1/125 of a second, so what’s the point?

As for J.R. herself, I have met numerous people who have encountered her in the process of filming on location. By all accounts, she may be one of the least pretentious people in show business.

[...] julia roberts chases down photographer in her suv julia roberts was captured on tape, chasing down a photographer in her gas guzzeling sport utility vehicle in her new role, bitch from hell. might she be slightly pre-menosposal? or has she completely lost it? you can watch a clearer version on breitbart tv. [...]

lindalouwho   November 30th, 2007 - 12:00 pm

Yeah, ummm, Julie…I seriously hope your kids werent in the car as you drove on the WRONG side of the road to make your point.
While Im not a fan of stalking- like behavior by some paparazzi, you kinda knew what you were getting into. They shouldnt hound stars, or their families, but her antics seem a little Britney Spears like. “Look at me! Im mad at the paparazzi..turn your cameras off! But Im going to chase you down and put others in danger as I make my point.”

SKD   November 30th, 2007 - 12:54 pm

Some of the ones that insist they don’t care about the private lives of celebrities sure appear to have a invested a lot of energy in knowing about their values and personalities. You feel just a liitttle too much outrage over how the paparazzi treat them to truly be disinterested in their lives. Save it for something that truly matters.

I don’t understand how Julia Roberts all of a sudden became “America’s sweetheart”. She’s just a horse-faced, so-so actress whose movies are usually not interesting. There’s gotta be better sweethearts out there, lol. :D

VoiceofReason   November 30th, 2007 - 1:11 pm

Looking good Julia. Way to go! I’m glad the tide is turning on paparrazzi – it’s ridiculous and should be criminal. The only way to stop this deplorable industry is to stop buying magazines that buy paparazzi photos – settle for one’s that cover red carpet events. These guys can make a whole year’s salary by selling a single photo. And for all you haters out there – how do you know Julia put anyone at risk. I didn’t see as much as another car drive by while the camera was rolling so it looks pretty safe to me, stupids.

Tom W   November 30th, 2007 - 1:54 pm

Typical liberal double standard. This whack-job thinks she can drive like an idiot and do the very things she accuses the driver of doing. Then she has the audacity to lean into his car and tell him to turn his camera off.

His only problem is that he did it.

Julia Roberts, like all celebrities, thinks she is above us all and the law as well. Too bad she didn’t wrap that Caddy around a tree.

This country threw off the yoke of monarchy, yet there are those who cast these idiots – most of whom have never even graduated college – as demi-gods and nobility.

Yes, absotively – F’*K “celebrities”.

SKDidiot   November 30th, 2007 - 2:18 pm

I LOVE how some of you are slamming the “rich Bi%$#” celebrity ACTING as IF YOU DO NOT CARE OR ARE INTERESTED…. FUNNY thing is…. YOU ALL LOVE IT! EAT IT UP…. then jealously remark about how others are so interested in celebrities. If you arent interested… why respond? and for the fat lady that called Julia “Horsefaced”….. I dont see your fat a** doing anything but complaining….. SHE IS GAINFULLY EMPLOYED…. Get off the cross guys… you love this!!!!
Any $ucktard should understand and respect when a mother is protecting her kids or other kids. GOOD FOR HER.

SKD   November 30th, 2007 - 2:40 pm

Whew, I guess I stepped on your fantasy life a little when I called Julia “horsefaced”. Sorry, I didn’t mean to ruin your mental image when you are alone and thinking of Julia. ;)

I thought of being a woman for awhile, but I realized I would never be able to live up to the physical..um..standards of Julia, so I gave it up.

Danno Applegate   November 30th, 2007 - 4:53 pm

She was driving like an idiot.

I wonder how high and mighty she would be if she hit a kid riding his/her bike to school.

I think the video alone is worth a 2 point california moving violation alone – speeding – driving on the wrong side of road – unnecessary sounding of the vehicles horn – intimidating reckless driving – all visible in this video.

Book-em Danno

Tsveno   December 1st, 2007 - 12:09 am

There are schools where most children don’t attend called Colleges, Flight School etc. .

Sorros   December 1st, 2007 - 4:36 pm

Yay Julia.
When are the paparazzi going to be held accountable? We love pix, we don’t want the celebs hurt or killed. Geez.

Duuuh sence when do pictures in front of schools hurt children. I Guess driving erratically and crossing two yellow line close to a school is safer.
This actress acts like a cop by pulling people over running them off the road.
I would bet doing movies where your a hooker, and drug use, and casual sex, all these she has done on television has hurt children more.
