The “key” to success is persistence…
the measure of idiocy is persistence…
The layman’s definition of insanity is repeating the same action over and over again while expecting different results.

I hope the bad guys are watching. Gives me time to retrieve my Sig 226 9mm, unlock it, find the bullets, load a magazine, go out the back door and around to the front of the house and put a bullet in the bad guys noggin.

This is why I bought a Medeco high-security lock 2 years ago. It was $140 from the Lock Doctor.

The lock itself has beveled pins which make it immune to bumping and virtually pick-proof.
But the most powerful deterrent in my opinion is the key itself. It is a special key that is not available except at quality locksmiths. It takes a special machine to cut the lock and even then you have to present a plastic card with a unique code to the locksmith before they will do it. You receive the code when you buy the lock.

If you loose the key to your house and you call a locksmith, there is nothing they can do. You will have to kick the door in or break a window. Recommend buying extra (Freedom) keys if you get one, and have a backup key in your wallet or car.

Security systems are nice but thieves can be in and out quickly. Shooting someone in the head?
What if you are not home?

The first line of defense is the lock itself.
So glad I bought this, gives me peace of mind.

Most thieves won’t bother, they will just kick in the door. Local police recommend 3 1/2 to 4 inch case hardened screws to grab the frame of the house, not the puny 1 or 2 inch screws that come with most locks.
