What a load o’ BS! The cop needs to be fired, then – lest that happen again.
fredNovember 24th, 2007 - 9:53 pm
canada is a corrupt police state. imagine that after these pigs tried to set up the professor, he has to listen to this scumbag attorney lie his balls off in that same star chamber courtroom, where i’m sure the professor was not allowed to present a case.
the good news is, this pig will beat some politician’s mom, or grandchild. that’s how karma works.
beam me up scotty.
T NickNovember 24th, 2007 - 10:12 pm
I’m amazed that the professor wasn’t busy earning his salary by actually teaching in a classroom.
SueNovember 24th, 2007 - 11:33 pm
fred, you’re an antisocial pig. Sounds like you got the business end of a truncheon yourself at some point in your life, and I’m thinking you deserved it. I hope you get it again.
fredNovember 25th, 2007 - 12:35 am
i don’t believe this was a case of a nice officer questioning the professor about his class schedule. furthermore, if the professor was not tending to his professional duties then i believe we have alternative methods of removing from his duties.
sue, are you the good little nazi state psychoanalyst? since you are too stupid to understand what is happening, please continue to remain in isolation and yes, you may masturbate to your hitler photo album all you want.

Wow – are some of you so stupid that you think because you disagree with someone a punch in the mouth by an officer should be legal? Well, here’s hoping the same happens to you then….

our education system is horrible & getting worse!

haha I love the end, “The cop said he was punched in the stomach and that’s why he responded with the punches.”
aren’t cops supposed to never hit somebody with a closed fist anywho? Especially in the face.
SiliconDocNovember 25th, 2007 - 9:30 pm
The police officer came from the side and shoved the professor out of the way, and was gong to bypass him him, when the professor shoved the officer back on the bicep/arm, at which point the officer punched the professor in the face and tackled him.
The officer should not have shoved the professor from the side, sight unseen, to begin with. Did the professor realize he pushed back in retaliation on an officers arm? Who knows, but the officers reaction after that settles the matter, since he punched the professor and then tackled him.
The officer was in the in the wrong first, the professor perhaps once after that, but then the officer went overbroard a second and third time, with the face punch and the tackle.
The officer should have calmed or apologized after getting the arm shove from the professor, since he came in from the side and shoved, and could not expect the citizen to be aware of his status as an officer at that moment.
Officer was WRONG, not the professor.

The cop was RIGHT and the professor deserved to be punched. The professor should be bought up on charges of assault. Cop-haters, who you gonna call when somebody robs you or breaks into your house?
JamesNovember 26th, 2007 - 5:50 am
Having a badge is a privelege, not a right. It does not make you any more impervious to the law. It does not make you a super-citizen. It makes you a regular citizen whom is held to a higher level of conduct.
With that badge you are given the responsibilty to act in the name of the will of the people. This officer, and MOST (yes MOST) I see on a daily basis certainly don’t represent me, or most people for that matter.
We need to seriously consider whether the police are there to enforce laws or to protect people, because they are not the same thing. If you think people should respect the laws, then laws need to deserve respect. Our current state of total criminality with police able to attack/detain/fine/etc. anyone they choose without provocation or due cause is not acceptable.
I propose that we, the people, take back our authority and reconsider what role we allow police and government to play in our lives.
I don’t hate cops. I hate ANYONE who misuses their so-called “authority” and anyone ignorant enough to think that they are immune from abuse of power. In its current incarnation EVERYONE breaks the law, even if you don’t realize it. Yes, even you Jerry, seejay, Sue, Porky and Greta.
So, Jerry, why exactly should the professor be brought up on charges? for protesting(which is legal), or getting punched in the face? Oh, and resonding to emergency situations IS EXACTLY what police are for. NOT assaulting citizens.

The cop pushed the leftist pansy, but the sissy prof. pushed him back. Thank god that cop punched him, I wish he would have beat him with a baton, then tazed him.
Anytime a leftist gets punched in the face its a good thing. Im hoping all leftist are pulled from their homes and punched right before their hung from our shores.
Dirty islamic scum are no match for the enemy within that hates America worse. Please k i l l that dirty commie next time, officer.
muckfexicoNovember 26th, 2007 - 3:01 pm
Sue, what a typical response from the democRAT nerds. Anyone that disagrees with you must live in a trailor park, while you and your kind sip over priced coffee at Starbucks and complain about the evil white male.
You and your kind are what needs to be dealt with, harshly and severely. Id not bat an eye to see your ilk rounded up and put to the gas showers. What a wonderful day that would be.
Joseph WattsNovember 27th, 2007 - 9:55 am
Sorry, pounding a psuedo humanist Commie-prof should become a pastime in america. There have been numerous stories of returning vets assaulted in the open-minded, tolerant cities of Seattle, Portland, and throughout California. These mischief makers are such overt punks because there are never consequences for their actions. I hope some NYC cops follow this guys example and pound hundreds of those 9/11 truther a-holes next year at WTC. Feel sorry for an elitist left-wing professor? Nope.
JamesNovember 27th, 2007 - 9:54 pm
Oh, I get it now.
I must thank muckfexico (sarcasm and all) and Joseph Watts for the extra clarification. Cops should beat up people who oppose your personal viewpoints. And since I differ from your viewpoints, the only logical conclusion is that I should lobby government to crack down on people with your ideals to the point of violence. Hell, I might as well ask for the death penalty.
I find it laughable that you people actually think that freedom of speech and the right to non-violent protest are “left wing” concepts, when in fact they are, by definition, Right-wing / Libertarian / CONSTITUTIONAL (in the US anyways) ideals.
Maybe you should go to University. If you’ve been there already and failed to learn critical thinking you should give it a whirl sometime. At the very least it might help to discontinue your autocolonoscopy.
Not to mention, if soldiers can’t defend themselves against “leftist pansies” exactly how are they supposed to defend anyone against suicidal terrorists?
Oh, and supporting troops kind of means NOT forcing them into perpetual, unwinnable, and fraudulent wars.
And finally, just in case you haven’t fully understood anything I’ve said until now, getting punched in the face/assaulted by police (read: authority) is the exact OPPOSITE of Freedom.
NoGuffNovember 28th, 2007 - 6:39 am
That idiot got what he deserved. The video clearly shows the “professor” (where’s Gilligan?) tried to either block the officer or move the officer out of the way. The officer probably didn’t need to punch him out, but he was full within his duty to do so in that situation.

Seems as though this COP is on the same team as the AUSTIN TEXAS MAYOR, believeing he is above everyone else and thinking they have become GODS. Talking to and treating people as they wish , becouse they KNOW punishment WILL NOT be delt to them.

Yes semas the Mayor and his co-herts stole TAX $ for thier Toll roads and are basicaly thieves, (lineing thier own pockets with tax $ ) and they will get away with it becouse, the people have become sheep.

Somehow I doubt a citizen could punch out a cop and skate on a “medical malady” defense.
I almost got in trouble at Boston’s Logan Airport. I saw a cop who could not have been more than five feet tall. He looked like a little boy dressed up in a costume. I couldn’t stop laughing. The cop looked me dead in the eye and if looks could kill…He tried to come after me, but it was crowded and I moved FAST. I guess he couldn’t see over the crowd…
RichardDecember 1st, 2007 - 1:50 pm
On the other hand, cops don’t make much money and are often losers who get no respect in real life so it’s probably a good idea just to stay away from them. If you see one coming, move back.
Many of them are what old-time cops called “the runts” who think a badge will make them real men. If you want to fight a cop, do it in court.

If you’re defending the prof, you’re leftist scum. Period. End of discussion. You are the enemy of this country and all that it stands for.
Joseph in OKDecember 4th, 2007 - 7:16 pm
I am a police officer and they tell you to draw a line and not let people pass it. If they push up against you or get in your “dead zone”(the area too close that could lead to your death (3-5 feet)), you are supposed to push back. If the prof was that close to me, I would place my hands on him and force him back just as the cop did. If the prof then pushed me, that would be assault on a police officer, and I would proceed to apprehend him. If he fought back while trying to subdue him, that would be called resisting arrest, and I would then use armbar takedowns or pepper spray.
This is the way real life works. Cops are protected as long as they don’t use excessive force, and the police officer here used the correct amount of force in this instance. The professor should have been charged with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and assault on a police officer. Whether a slimy lawyer found a way to get him off, the DA and the cop were legally justified.
ZachDecember 4th, 2007 - 7:59 pm
Don’t you thin that if you feel like you are being punched in the chest if you hold your arm a certain way that perhaps you are not qualified to be a police officer? No offense, but lots of disabilities disqualify people.
And if he knew about this diability beforehand, shouldn’t he have thought twice before he punched the guy? Not to mention that perhaps he shouldn’t have sued him if there was the potential that he felt a “phantom” punch.
PDCDecember 6th, 2007 - 9:44 pm
“sue” I have a quote for you, look it up if you don’t know who said it…
“How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don’t think.”
BarryDecember 6th, 2007 - 10:43 pm
I never go near the police, but I don’t have a college degree like the professor did.
He’s so smart to get so close to cops in riot gear. I’m so stupid I stay home and enjoy life. Guess I should have gone to college.
Thomas CromwellDecember 7th, 2007 - 1:36 am
It looked like the professor kind of pushed the cop first though.
ChuckDecember 7th, 2007 - 10:56 am
This is where people who wash out of the military end up. Playing dress up and beating on civilians. Wonder if officer Kadouche has a disorder affecting sensations in his groin as well? What do the amputees call it? The Ghost Limb Phenomenon?
These are the same type of guys who cowered outside while a kid with no training sloppily executed 30+ people at Virginia Tech…What’s all the riot gear for? They’re awfully tough when the rioters are unarmed aren’t they?
Sooner or later this sociopath punk with a badge will get nailed beating on his wife or raping his daughter…it will take a few times though, they really stick by their own don’t they?
When I was a kid I respected police. With the advent of video and audio these days, I’m beginning to wonder if they ever tell the truth…and just how many innocent people are doing hard time over the things that never got taped? Because society gave the police the benefit of the doubt for so long?
Not anymore I hope.
ChuckDecember 7th, 2007 - 11:12 am
P.S.
I’m not defending the professor. In fact I don’t hold the left in high regard and agree that they are a threat to our liberty. But there are more threats than just Communism in the world. Fascism is just as dangerous, and I’m not willing to defend it even if it is being used against my enemies. Once the new police state takes care of that crowd…what will they do? Go home? Retire? No…They will train their eye on the next “Enemy of the State”…which might just as well be any of us.
And if you think there is never a cause to fight the authorities, I suppose you wouldn’t have joined the Colonial Rebels against the British? And I suppose you would have supported the hanging of children who played drums for the soldiers? After all, they were rebels challenging the authority of the state…kill ‘em all right?
Haute Europa, Morgen Die Welt.

Guess that professor should have kept his hands to himself. See in the beginning of the video when the prof comes up beside the officer and pushes him? Stupid hurts.
What a joke!
