If the President of the United States can celebrate Ramadan in the White House, then Lowes can sell Christmas trees. This pandering to Muslims to the exclusion of Judaism and Christianity is just detestable.

This is not news.

This is exactly why “Political Correctness” is so incorrect. Adherence to PC is itself offensive.

I now shop @ Home Depot. Lowes is out.

Another example of how Political Correctness contributes to the erosion of Christian and family values in America. Take Christ out of the holiday that celebrates His birth, right? And WHY are we doing this? So we don’t offend Muslims.

The pastor in that story should be ashamed of himself. “They are in business…remain neutral…” Sir, why aren’t you standing up for Jesus??? Why aren’t you interested in preserving Christianity? Are you selling out with Lowes?

why did they wait until it made the news to make a statement?? the pastor sounded like he was
edging on the wrong side of political correctness…whats that about?

[...] advertised Christmas trees under the heading “Family Trees” in a recent catalogue. Watch this report. This makes no sense on any level. Lowe’s isn’t a municipality or government entity. [...]

The Christmas tree was adopted by Europeen Christians from pagan origins, probably because they are a much beloved holiday tradition. There are probably many non Christian families that like them and would like to have them as part of their holiday tradition as well. I don’t have a problem with that. Now as to Lowes attempting to market them that way…well they have a right to do so, but at their peril as it obviously offends some Christians.

Those Lowes execs screwed up this time. When will these Co. learn?

Jeff Davis   November 16th, 2007 - 5:44 pm

The whole deal with the Christmas tree is for Christmas anyway. There is no other reason to put up the tree. To try to change it to something else is retarded.
