Katie Couric Caught on Camera Mocking Dan Rather’s Fashion Frustration

My Damn Channel: "Earlier this year, My Damn Channel presented Dan Rather in Seattle considering whether or not to wear a trenchcoat, and if so, whether collar up or collar down. Now his successor faces a similar quandary, with his performance in mind." Note: The classic clip of Dan Rather is in the related link.

Definitely anchor material … at Old Navy.

Shane   November 13th, 2007 - 4:21 pm

What was that “Jewish guilt” comment?

Lou - Paradise MD   November 13th, 2007 - 4:52 pm

It never has been about the news, it’s always been about the news readers

These dirty left leaners continue their backstabbing, underhanded acts unabated. How can Katie even still be on the air, save for some satirical side show with a political edge on it. Unbelievable.

She Is The Record   November 13th, 2007 - 8:49 pm

She is completely whacked? How can she bag on Dan? Complaining about a button? Bro this bro that?
Jewish Guilt comment?
She is insane and totally vain, how would you like to work with her? what a friggin nightmare.

Teena   November 13th, 2007 - 10:35 pm

Nice job, Katie. She goes behind their backs and makes wisecracks, while on a daily basis I actually see it in writing, on the internet, and anywhere else that she sucks! And, now, we just have more convincing evidence. What a pro? I wonder if a small market local news channel is starting to sound appealing to her.

I despise both Couric and Rather; liberal, self-absorbed idiots.

Boring and fascinating at the same time… I actually like Katie now more than I did before. The “Jewish guilt” comment was odd…

Greg   November 14th, 2007 - 2:33 am

Watched both videos and not a bit of difference between the superficiality of both broadcasters. Katie pegs ol Dan for his obsessing over his trenchcoat and then spends the next LONG minutes obsessing over her own coat. Katie (I am a fan of neither her nor Dan) does seem more real than she has before. Don’t think the Jewish guilt comment was serious as her late husband was Jewish (not sure if she converted).

Sarah   November 14th, 2007 - 3:35 am

Both Couric and Dan as shallow as Johnny “I feel pretty” Boy edwards.

Eva Dawson   November 14th, 2007 - 4:14 am

100% Pure Trash.

All I could think about was our brave soldiers fighting in Iraq while this disgusting piece of trash worries about her damn clothing accessories.

Go to hell, Katherine.

Ryan …I totally agree with you. I never like Katie .
Its nice to see she has a nice sense of humor!.Maybe I`ll watch her tonight

Come on everybody, calm down. Don’t throw stones. First of all, in the TV news business, there’s a lot of “hurry up and wait”. So the crew obviosuly had a lot of time to kill, otherwise there would have been little to no conversation about that trenchcoat button.
Secondly, if you all had a camera focused on your for an hour, you’re bound to say SOMETHING that you wouldn’t want the whole country to hear. Give the woman, and the crew, a break. So don’t throw stones. Unless, of course, you live in a glass house.
