This is SUCH old news to so many people, and yet these morons at this local station think they’re on to something revelatory! As wonderful as this is, they also seem to forget that when a dozen or two more folks show up looking for used vegetable oil at their local restaurants and cafeterias, the supply starts to disappear quickly! It won’t support millions! And they don’t even how you the refining that the car owner has to do with the used oil at home once he gets the BIG load of used vegetable oil. Not responsible reporting, folks, but let’s not tell the anchorpeople, they just know how to read from preprinted cards.

What ever you do: do not let the democrats in Washington know about this achievement because if they do they will send the environmental protection agency and outlaw the procedure, idea, and potential, and have this man’s taxes audited every year for the rest of his life.

This is not new. A man in Ohio was fined $2,500 for using bio. http://www.herald-review.com/articles/2007/03/01/news/local_news/1021491.txt

Another a $1,000 fine!
http://www.newsobserver.com/news/story/599471.html

Homemade bio is not taxed, therefore does not pay for the upkeep on interstates/bridges and other state/county roads. Some states as high as .32 cents per gallon.

Dems will cry foul and tax him, “he’s not paying his fair share” he better enjoy the ride.
Once they see this story he had better hide his wallet!

Freedomlover, KT,
Just where do you think money comes from? You both clamber on your soapbox to decry Democrats and taxes, but where do you think the money to run this country comes from? Do you perhaps think Elves are sneaking pass the Secret Service each night to leave piles of cash on the covers of laura and George? You do know there’s a trillion dollar war on, maybe the War Fairy leaves it under his pillow, um? Maybe a little something extra from Grandma at X-mas, you think? The last time I check, when there was a surplus and the trains ran on time, and, oh heck, it just seemed like every job you applied for was offering medical and dental was under a Democrat President that some nasty people tried to have impeach for having sex in the white house instead of a public restroom like normal politicians.
But I’m sorry, I digress. The question was where do you think the money comes from, other than Uncle Wang?
Please tell us, we are dying to know, are the rumors true about the Democrats having a huge machine that controls the flow rate of the oil pipeline? Or, what about them drawing a huge pentagram with Alan Greenspan’s blood and sacrificing an economist while floyd’s ‘money’ plays in the background. Please with your awesome powers over time and space couldn’t you pretty please harness a minuscule black hole ( not the one that all the money for Iraq goes into, don’t you just love that Christen teaching about not feeding the homeless or giving a child health care just so we can make the world safe for Haliburton?)

Dilemma for the dems, they are trying to stop people from eating high fat foods but it could be a fuel source, and they don’t tax food (yet)

Rex   March 16th, 2008 - 9:15 am

Biodiesel is nothing new. The problem is your typical 6-pack bubba is too busy eating the grease to try and figure out how to run their old Chevy pick up with it. It would be too big of a detour out of the way to the liquor store while listening to Rush for them to bother with anything like this.

Biodiesel installations take a lot more talent than being able to pour STP into the GAS tank or stick on a Bush/Cheney bumper sticker. The brighter people in California will catch on and get it to work. But places like Texas are doomed to continue kissing the Saudi’s oil just like Bush kisses Abdullah’s bum every time he visits him.

Eventually, all that walking will do those fat rednecks some good since they won’t be able to afford that $10 a gallon OPEC slime. But most will just sit on the couch watching FOX until somebody notices the smell coming from their trailer and finds out they died.

Hey Rex,

Did you ever consider that maybe the typical 6 pack bubba doesn’y make enough to buy the $1000 conversion kit, since he makesa wage that barely gets him by now?

Are you implying that Texas is full of idiots while California has nothing but brilliant scientists?

Thanks for you post that lets eveyong know how ignorant the liberal crowd is to the actual situation and plight of rural America.

I hope and pray that someone as ignorant as you declines to vote in the election. Better yet, maybe you can sign up to pay more taxes so that Pelosi can help dig us out of this mess.

Duh?

@Ed:
___”don’t you just love that Christen teaching about not feeding the homeless or giving a child health care just so we can make the world safe for Haliburton?”___

Ironically, you immediately strike me as someone in need of salvation.
How many homeless individuals/families have you fed? (Don’t tell me about the beggar that you threw a quarter at just so they’d leave you alone) Well, I feel I’ve done very little to help, but I’ve still fed many. I’ve built concrete homes for (non-Christian) homeless families as well. The really .scary. thing is I’m a Christian; and personally know hundreds of other Christians that have done *much* more than I to help the homeless.

Here we go again   July 29th, 2008 - 12:26 pm

typical drugereport morons on this thread.

let’s focus on the actual report. an individual, acting on his own, solved his problem.

granted, there is not enough used fry oil to put in every vehicle, but the technology to radically extend mileage is out there. and all we hear from detroit is that it’s too expensive, or will take too long to implement.

every reason is simply another excuse to keep us mired in petro-hell.

josh   July 29th, 2008 - 1:25 pm

Dumbocrats are nothing short of communists they would rather take the wages of others to support people to lazy to get off their asses and work. Barak Bin Laden/ Obama and hitlery are the worst why should I pay for some lazy ass sitting at home to have health insurance when all they do is sit on their fat ass and eat doritios they bought with food stamps

leon   July 29th, 2008 - 1:51 pm

To Ed-7:49 PM. You are a complete idiot. I own my own business, work my ass off and have the pleasure of the government constantly busting my stones to give them more money. To answer your stupid, never-ending question, the money comes from those that work…those that take chances, and those that are sick of giving it to the government. It is not a democrat vs republican issue. Both parties are useless. The government just taxes the effeicient and blows the money. The worst part is that you ‘intellectual” types have it all figured out. In your brilliant commentary you succeeded in insulting America (Uncle Wang),Christians, our military, and the “miniscule” intelligence of those of us who work and support liberal geniouses like you. Get over yourself…and hope that your fool Obama can flip a switch and end world hunger, terrorism, and every other ill caused by business people like me.

Tom   July 29th, 2008 - 2:50 pm

Did anyone catch the website? I thought he said gease.com but that’s a 409 cleaner website.

Bio fuels like this is only a limited short-term solution until something better comes around, but it’s better than $4/gallon. If you know where we can get more info, please post.

Dems or GOP, it doesn’t matter. Dems promise socialism, GOP deliver it. Vote libertarian.

Phrank   July 29th, 2008 - 4:26 pm

He should have mentioned http://www.greasecar.com/

There are several different systems out there to convert diesel to pure/mixed veg oil. The Germans have some more sophisticated systems.
