I feel ill. And as sickening as it is to see this, it is just as sickening to read the comments of people who think she deserved to be abused like that. What has this country come to where torture is so easily accepted, even welcomed?

What has this world come to when people refuse to do as they are told? All that toothless hillbilly had to do was put her hands behind her back and sit in the back of a police car without vandalizing it. She couldn’t do that so she was tasered. Torture? Hardly. Torture would be shoving bamboo under her finger nails, burning her with lit cigarettes, cutting her fingers off one at a time, poking her eyeballs with needles. If you want to see real torture then you need to go to Iran and Syria and you will learn what torture is.

The taser gun is becoming the most frequently abused toy in the police arsenal. They used to be able to handle drunken women before taser guns, but not any more. Tasering people is just too much fun to resist.

She got exactly what she asked for. When an officer asks you to comply, you do it, period. You can argue what happened later in court. She’s lucky she wasn’t killed, would have been her own fault.
[...] Yikes. Why do people that are handcuffed try to kick out the window of the cop cruiser? That seems to really piss off the cops. [...]

Guerro and Bill: you are two sick men. The woman was drunk, and obviously trying to get away from the source of the excruciating pain (the cop/sadist didn’t even give her time to comply). I feel sorry for your families or whoever you live with, if you thought she deserved that.
What do you do if your wife leaves dishes in the sink, shoot ‘em?

I just called John Mandopoulus, the Warren, OH, Chief of Police. I urge you all to do the same! Be polite but forceful and let these criminals know that we the American people will not stand for this anymore!

It’s not torture people, it’s Enhanced Interrogation Techniques.
Cops are Judge, Jury, and Tazer-cutioners.

durin the testing of tazers i have had the unfortunate experience of being hit with one, trust me 1 shock is all it takes to send your body into the worst pain imginable, yes this is torture yes thats a moron cop who likes it and his wife is probably rarely seen out in public having walked into many doors, the drunken woman would have been in agony the shear length of time the thing was left clicking on her so no wonder she was trying to escape – I know I would and trust me the cop the shocked her for falling? thats his career right there knocking her out – your american cops get away with far too much and just siting new anti-terror laws and “the fear after 9/11″ is a joke, come on people it was 6 years ago and nothing since….get some balls to act like men not like babys with a toy!

As someone who works for a law enforcement agency I will play the devils advocate here. I’ll start by saying that yes, tazers to get misused, and unfortunately there are some cops that may go to it too quickly. Unfortunately the reality of the situation is that they will never go away. A tazer gives an officer an out where they would have to use lethal force otherwise. For instance if an officer is faced with an aggressive person wielding a knife. The old way of dealing with someone would be to shoot them, and rightly so. If someone is comming at you with a knife, they are not just trying to show it to you. A tazer would allow an officer to keep a distance while incapacitating someone long enough to disarm them and get them under control. In all actuality, I know of some officers who have gotten in trouble by their departments for not shooting someone. I personally know a man who got in trouble for tazing someone that suddenly pulled a gun from their waistband, when the proper procedure would have been for him to draw down with his firearm.
I too have been tazed, and they will knock you on your ass real quick and it is painful. However, after the electrical charge stops (usually 5 seconds), the pain goes away. You feel weird, but are not in pain. You instantly have control of your muscles again and are able to put your hands behind your back, like the officer will be ordering you to do so. It is most likely that an officer will not tell your more than twice to put your hands behind your back and stay on the ground. If you don’t comply you will get tazed again. That is because law enforcement works under what is called “pain compliance.” That basically means that the only way to get someone to do something that they don’t want to do (like handcuffing) is to apply the necessary ammount of force to get that person to comply; whether that be by pressure points, OC (mace), baton or tazer. It is when officers use unnecessary force that they get into trouble, and unfortunately it does happen. However force is ONLY applied when someone does not comply with an officer’s orders. The video does not show what happened before the tazer, when the camera was undoubtedly on. It also doesn’t really go into detail about why the officer was there in the first place. Was this person highly agitated and making threats to people? When the officer arrived on scene did she tell him to F-Off and refuse to go outside? Did he try to get her to walk outside the night club and she refused, causing the officer to go hands on? Situations like this can escalate in a matter of seconds. This video doesn’t really show any of the stuff the judge and police administration will look at and review. Speaking for my department, I could tell you that if she wsa tazed, but in the back of the patrol unit, and then started kicking the partition, she would have been taken out and put leg restraints on. I don’t understand why he would have let her out of the car without people around, and I also don’t understand how she ended up walking around the other side of the vehicle without him controling her arms. I guess that will be enough from me, but I just wanted to shed light on the subject from a law enforcement point of view. Just remember, you’re much more likely to get out of a ticket if your not rude and don’t lie. Be honest. Cops get lied to every day and know when you are. If an officer asks you to do something just do it. If you are unhappy with it you can complain to their supervisors and it WILL be looked into and reviewed by the administration, and on occasion outside parties/organizations. Just don’t do something to escalate the situation that could land you in jail for resisting. I hope this was a little helpful and informative to some of you.

As far as im concerned she deserved it.
Why cant people just behave.
It’s not torture you dumb b*tch…it’s punishment for this drunk wh0re acting like an animal and KICKING and SCREAMING with the police. She deserved more, she deserved a bullet in her head. You don’t act aggressive towards officers of the law at any point for any reason when you are GUILTY OF A CRIME AND UNDER ARREST. Learn the law and stop bringing up your pussy state of mind that the world has people who you can just tell to behave and they will. The world is not like that anymore, people are crazy, and need to be treated like they are crazy when they act like complete animals. She is BREAKING THE LAW and being AGGRESSIVE and ABUSIVE towards the law, she deserved it for the safety of the police officers and the people around her. Your rights get taken away the second you break the law and become violent or belligerent.

The Officer went way to far with her. She was helpless. The officer so non-chelauntly with his hand on his waist kept pulling the trigger. What is wrong with him. Then when she fell, he kicked her. What else are you going to do when 50,000 volts of electricity are pumping through your body, your going to flop around. Then instead of then trying to subdue her he kept the volts coming, she slammed her head on her car, he keeps pulling the trigger. Was she armed… NO? Was she drunk… Maybe. Was she a woman that was completely powerless over this man who clearly abused his rights as a protector and role model for the city. Do not ask me where the charges of Felony assualt on her behalf is coming in. Never once in the video did it show her hitting him. The officer used force way beyond that which was needed. He took advantage of the situation and gave everyone the right to be scared of him, he is not a protector or a server of the community, he is an overly egotistical pig. He deserves to get fired, fined, and should have to pay her for the rest of his low life. I am not saying that all cops are bad, but he gives the police force state wide a bad name. He does not deserve to hold a badge.

There is no way this is appropriate use of a taser. He could have put this women into cardiac arrest with the repeated tasering. Cruisers are not the concern of cops, they don’t pay for them so for him to think it was appropriate to taser her once she was contained in his cruiser, regardlesss of what she was doing to the cruiser is garbage. He is just a cop who enjoyed inflicting pain on this captive women. He really came across as a pansy; a big scrapping cop tasering a WOMAN…give me a break, was he intimidated by her? I urge politicians to restrain the inappropriate taser use by imparting the ability to prosecute officers who are found to have abused this tool where it causes serious injury or death. Then a cop would have to think about the way he uses this and the possible ramifications if it’s use causes CNS or other serious injury or death. This was not the intended use of tasers.

I’m getting really tired of seeing videos like this put up by anti-taser fascists and supporters of criminals. This woman is obviously inebriated and out of control….attacking the officers, refusing to comply with arrest, attempting to destroy property. She is a danger to herself and others. A taser causes no lasting damage and is effectively used here to force this woman to stop this crap. Before the invention of the taser, she would have been clubbed over the head with a nightstick, tackled by 5 250 pound men, and hog tied.
I have yet to see a single video featuring real abuse of force by cops (and I’ve watched quite a few of these videos). I’ve also, yet to see a report on a taser fatality, that didn’t turn out to just be a lie.
I feel ill. And as sickening as it is to see this, it is just as sickening to read the comments of people who think she deserved to be abused like that. What has this country come to where torture is so easily accepted, even welcomed?
