Bill Slips While Stumping for Hillary? ‘If You Elect Me…’

Was he still speaking "as" his wife or was it a slip? (see related link) "If you elect me, I'll repeal those subsidies and put them into a strategic energy fund that will create American jobs for America's future with clean energy."

Yeah… So what… After screaming to 500 crowds, he finally slipped :D Probably not 1 in 10,000 humans could do speeches like he does…

It is very nice to see a real president still speaking as opposed to the moronic war monkey in the White House now.

Aha! Talk about a Freudian slip! Well, if Hillary is elected it will be a package deal, just like before! ;-)

It is absolutely clear he is quoting Hillary. He says again and again, “Hillary says.”

Doesn’t Breibart pay enough to get competent help?

Rose   February 25th, 2008 - 8:56 pm

Ernie Pyle is right.

Bill clearly says, “So, Hillary says…” He’s clearly quoting Hillary.

It’s a shame that Breitbart seems to be creating controversy for the many people who will only read the headline and not listen to what’s actually being said.

Well- he WAS president- he’s pretty used to saying that phrase.

I mean, its not like he was Secretary of State or something and said “My husba-I mean, the president…”

Cathy   February 26th, 2008 - 3:49 am

Is it just me, or does he start this with saying “Hillary says . . .”

He was not speaking for himself.

grik   February 26th, 2008 - 4:03 am

I loved Bill Clinton when he was in office. But hes the main reason I wouldnt vote for his wife.

1 – I dont believe he will keep it in his trousers and we dont need that distraction again

2 – I dont think he will make a very good first lady.

Disclaimer: I am a conservative talk show host. I cannot stand Bill or Hillary Clinton’s politics. I don’t want Hillary Clinton anywhere near the White House or Bill Clinton anywhere near my daughter. The last thing I EVER want to do is defend Bill Clinton. But this is a non-story. Let’s go to the tape: “So, Hillary says … (long raqmbling paraphrase of Hillary’s position). If you elect me…” It’s all part of his quote/paraphrase of Hillary’s position. Again, forgive me for defending Bill Clinton, but this is a perfect example of the media trying to create news where there isn’t any. They’ve coronated Obama and dethroned Hillary and they are going after she and Bill with both guns blazing. Let’s “attack” the Clintons for one of the millions of bad things they’ve actually done, not this. JJ

This is just evidence that Bill cannot give a short sound bite. He is quoting Hillary. The quote goes on and on, and includes, “If you elect me…”

I, too, do not want the Clintons anywhere near 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue ever again. But the headline is misleading.

War monkey in the White House? Which country are you speaking about?

If you are referring to the United States, it’s time to face the music and get off those drugs. You’ve been duped and led by lying media types; you really need to jump aboard with the rest of us and stamp out these foolish comments.

Perhaps you were referring to North Korea, Cuba, Iran, or a dozen other corrupt countries, if so, my apologies.

Does it really matter? Her Thighness is finished. Obama is the messiah and has come to take care of everyone’s problems and take all your money while doing it.

This is what really drives the Clinton koolaid drinkers crazy! Clinton was handed the presidency with a great economy (thanks Ronald Reagan) democratic majorities in the Senate & House, and a main stream media that would bend over & take it when Bubba said to. So what happened? Because he couldn’t keep it in his pants, he loses both houses, drives the economy into a recession, allows islamist towel- heads to become power- terrorists, gets impeached, and can’t deliver a win for his wife against a relative rookie with no experience. Now compare all that to the “moronic war- monkey” George W. who has turned the libs into his b!tches on the war, the economy, wire- tapping, Abu-Garib, global- warming, supreme court justices, etc. etc, etc.! So of the left is being out-witted by a moron….how fuc%ing stupid does that make them?

TJ   February 26th, 2008 - 7:57 pm

Are the people at Breitbard f’ing deaf? He very obviously is quoting her, or speaking for her. “So Hillary says…” is the first thing he said!

Cindy   February 26th, 2008 - 7:59 pm

He clearly states “Hillary says” at the start of his speach. Believe me, I’m not on to defend either of the Clintons, but he clearly was repeating what Hillary said. He didn’t slip up. Everyone’s looking for hidden messages from the Clintons. I wish she would get the nomination so McCain could beat her/them. I think Obama is making empty pomises. He has never once voted across party lines. Scary.

H. T. Murphy   February 26th, 2008 - 7:59 pm

It really isn’t relevant at this point. Hillary is toast!

BuBye!

bob   February 26th, 2008 - 7:59 pm

The Clinton’s will have the honor of standing tall and proud next to the Carter’s as the worst bunch of political idiots to ever expose themselves to the American public and the world.
They should retire, get divorced now that their daughter is grown, and move to Mexico where no one pretends that elected official’s aren’t crooked.

What’s TRULY hilarious is that, after almost 8 years of hand-wringing by the Dems, Hillary and Barack are the best they have to offer. Now THAT is pathetic.

Almost as pathetic is the Repub offering of McCain.

Dennis in Ohio   February 26th, 2008 - 8:17 pm

Schoendog hit on the head. Poor Rover wouldn’t qualify to be Bush’s food taster, let alone make a good argument for the Clintons. The sad truth for the Dems is Obama will get the nomination (he’ll beat Hillary by 10% in Ohio alone), then he’ll lose the general election by a landslide, perhaps bigger than McGovern’s loss years ago. Why? People will wake up and realize we need tough leadership, not a naive dreamer learning on the job as the terrorists play havoc with our interests at home and abroad.

NoShariaForMe   February 26th, 2008 - 8:24 pm

I’m sure I’m not the only American who wishes that Bubba would just shut up and disappear so that we don’t have to keep hearing his smug and self righteous speeches…maybe that’s why HRC is not doing so well?

Bubba – the American people have had enough of you! Your legacy is enough and will not be forgotten!

Beth   February 26th, 2008 - 8:28 pm

You were impeached, fella. That means shut up and go away. If you think you’re going to get in the back door of the White House and we’ll get two for the price of one, you are still on coke and the arkie trash I knew you to be. Be a good little soldier now and just fade away.

daveednyc   February 26th, 2008 - 8:37 pm

Regardless of whether it was a slip, or he was still speaking as Hillary, there’s no question that it’s a two-fer package. It’s so gratifying that their own party is rejecting them now. Nobody wants to pay to see “Billary: The Sequel”. They’ll have to slink back to New York where voters will shamelessly reelect Hillary to the Senate for decades…

atl_al   February 26th, 2008 - 8:40 pm

What continues to amaze me even more than Obamamania, is how anyone in the right (or make that left) mind can honestly fall for all the BS the Clintons spew. Have any of them bothered to switch over to the news in their lives? Probably not – Reality TV is their reality. While they cream their panties with every word from the, standing there with their hands out, waiting for some fictitious entitlement, some of us can think for ourselves, work hard to achieve on our own, be personally accountable for our own actions (something the Clintonites will never comprehend).

True, Obama’s message is no different than Clinton’s…. turn this country into a Socialist Republic. At least I think Obama’s heart is in the right place, he means well… (like giving a thirsty alcoholic a drink), but Hillary has no heart, and her only motivation is her thirst for power!

xiu   February 26th, 2008 - 8:52 pm

Since they won’t go away, how about a wax or better yet, a stone rogue gallery of the Clinton kind? They’ll be immortally famous, serving to remind us when we forget BECAUSE we want to forget them, to facilitate research and to protect future generations from their kind?

dave   February 26th, 2008 - 10:31 pm

yeah, he did start by saying “Hillary says…”, but still somewhat of a gaffe, unless it’s the longest verbal attribution in history of spoken word.

Why do people want a Bush/Clinton monopoly in the White House? That is why there are term limits and rules to prevent from being ruled by a dynasty.

Perhaps Hill will not consult Bill. She seemed to work against him when she blew the whistle on Bush with the east coast port deal, citing his brother Neil as a conflict of interest. At the same time she was opposing Bush, Bill was getting paid to teach the Sheik how to get the deal sealed.

Then again maybe she wanted the contract or sale to go to Bill’s Dubai partnership company not Neils.

Hillary already voted yes to Iran and Iran means hello draft that Bill dodged back in Viet Nam war days. Bill talks a lot. Lies a lot too. Everyone knows it. Why trust him now? I do not get people that are voting for known corruption.
