Love it! It is time that someone stood up for Hillary. I am proud to say I am also one of those b—-es that gets things done. Let’s let the voters decide.

bbb   February 24th, 2008 - 12:55 pm

i would rather have co presidents then a muslim, http://www.whitehouse.com http://www.freedomsenemies.com check these websites out before u decide, looks like michelle cant take care of her house, people in this country better wake up, obama will not wear a lapel pin with the american flag on it, and he will noy put his hand over his heart. if u think hillary and bill are bad u havent seen nothing yet if u vote obama in, he will destroy the united states go to the web sites

Jim Jones   February 24th, 2008 - 12:56 pm

Loved the opening to SNL and how they made fun of how ridiculous it is that Obama has become nothing but a celebrity and that is the only reason he will win over Clinton, not because he is a good candidate for the job, because he is not. Wake up America!! pull out of that celebrity worshiping daze and realize that Muslim Obama is bad for this country…It’s as if Brittney Spears was running for president…..

gogobear   February 24th, 2008 - 1:52 pm

OMG TOO Funny!

She’s taken so much criticism, and if you even mention something truthful about Oprama, their campaign gets sensitive.

It’s not fair, and the media wont question him or his tactics. Way to go Tina Fey, about time.

JimG   February 24th, 2008 - 1:52 pm

Tina Fey delivered an campaign endorsement for Hillary in the closing sketch on SNL. This was not a political spoof as was the sketch with Huckabee. She is entitled to her opinion.

In the spirit of fairness, I expect NBC and SNL now will give equal time to the other candidates.

Mike Panek   February 24th, 2008 - 1:53 pm

Tina, you bombed big-time! N’er a smile or smirk from me in your attempt to be “cute on Hillary”. Unfortunately, politics has become a specialized profession where one must be able to smile through the lies and deceit as if everything is completely OK. So, when is Hillary going to pay the U.S. back for bailing her and her FAILED company out? (Google “Whitewater”) Fraud, conspiracy, jail time, Vince Foster’s “suicide”? That giant sucking sound is Hillary (and her impeached husband) TAKING from America. Really, what has she given us? “The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.”

JB   February 24th, 2008 - 3:55 pm

What a crock of buffalo feces. That was so lame and so NOT funny- I am going to LAUGH LAUGH LAUGH HAHAHAHA when Hillary (don’t even like to type her name) BITES THE DUST. Down the political tubes you go LADY- and SNL sucks too for even letting that little force fed crap hit the airwaves. It’s kinda pathetic that it has come to that.

gigglechick   February 24th, 2008 - 4:03 pm

in honor of the SNL bit, i have created some “bitch is the new black” and “bitches get stuff done” gear.

Fantastic!!! I’m so glad that finally someone is sticking up for Hillary. I just can’t understand why women would vote any other way. Don’t you think she would have women’s and children’s interests at heart? Let’s give a woman a chance. Go Hillary!!

DAVE S.   February 24th, 2008 - 4:57 pm

SNL is great, But, last night was the BEST ever. We all loved it. We wish SNL would rerun it. So many people I know are so sorry they missed it and wish they could see it. Everyone I know loved it.

byzinski   February 24th, 2008 - 4:58 pm

To Senator Barack Osama: Sir, I met John F. Kennedy when I was 13 years old (when he was campaigning for president in Pennsylvania in 1960) and you sir ARE NOT JOHN F. KENNEDY!! He didn’t have FUNNY LOOKING EARS…

frank   February 24th, 2008 - 5:13 pm

What a shame. Tina Fey is a fair comedy writer and should work on that – not political campaigning . Many entertainers” are full of themselves and removed from the world of the majority of working people who do not make 5 or 6 (maybe 7?) figures for one show. We remind Tina and SNL that outright campaigning under the guise of a comedy show is not entertaining. Also tell Lorne we changed channels at that point – maybe it’s not about satisfying an audience or the ratings ?

Steve D   February 24th, 2008 - 6:04 pm

Sounds like she got alittle rusty from the strike that was going on. That wasnt funny one bit to me.
I dont need a presdent who sheds tears when something isnt going right.

alex   February 24th, 2008 - 6:09 pm

You are my hero Tina! I recall Oprah asking Ellen to agree that Obama would be a great president. With a stong-arm suggestion, Oprah tried to back Ellen into a corner. It was the first time Oprah showed her colors.
I am a republican who wants to vote for Hillary, but not sure I can vote for Obama (lack of experience; yes I am concerned what happens when first in office……

Danny   February 24th, 2008 - 6:34 pm

Show how bad SNL sucks and has since 2000. As for Billary, OMG give me a break, shows how many morons there are out there by voting for that scandalous @#$%%! LOSER!

Sonmi Kwan   February 24th, 2008 - 6:46 pm

So does this mean that we’re all allowed to call Senator Clinton a bitch now? Or is it only ok when her überfans say it?

The fact is, I don’t think that calling Hillary a bitch as a pejorative OR as a meliorative is appropriate. It remains sexist. However, I’ll admit it’s becoming hard to keep track of the double standards these days.

Further, plenty of us feminists feel that it’s far overdue for a woman presidency, but we are not a monolithic group who plan on voting for Hillary simply because of her gender. There’s a bigger picture. The Clinton administration of the 90’s failed to meet the hopes of many progressive minded voters (and feminists) and some of us are demanding more.

Tina Fey lined up one straw man argument after another in this endorsement.

Just because a woman doesn’t support Fey’s choice in candidate, does not mean that we:
- Base our opinion on whether or not we feel Hillary can control her husband.
- Give a damn about who the hell Oprah endorses.
- Give a damn about the sex lives of the Clintons.
- Give a damn about Hillary’s physical appearance.
- Give a damn about Rush Limbaugh’s opinion on anything.

And as far as the “co-presidents” argument…Hell yes, that’s a legitimate issue!
Exhibit A: Bill Clinton, showed a massive lack of moral character when he refused to intercede in the Rwandan genocide in 1994 as he was required to do under the United Nations mandate. With an estimated death toll between 800,000 and 1,000,000, that the U.S. did nothing to prevent, I feel that the U.S. people should be ashamed of the Clinton administration.

The Clinton administration’s foreign policies were not all that different from the right wing hawks we’re trying to remove from power now. We need real change. I have no reason to expect that from Hillary Clinton.

yeah ok   February 24th, 2008 - 6:48 pm

SNL liberal idiot or a lesbian wannabee?

BILL5321   February 24th, 2008 - 7:35 pm

No one wants to vote for Hillary because she can’t manage her compaign money. After raising $114 million dollars Hillary’s compaign is broke.

Bill Clinton sold us out. Two month ago Bill got $20 million dollars from his billionaire buddy for a trip to Africa. Bill said he did not take any part of his friends business dealings, but the party picture with the country s president showing Bill was there. Again Bill, why all the lies?

Like SNL, but the material is getting a little thin. Tina Fey – I don’t use my American Express either.

kyle coppola   February 24th, 2008 - 7:36 pm

This ENTIRE episode was Tina Fey’s love letter to Hillary.

This Hillary spoof is funnier than any of that:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wGMgxFE6bms

guilda   February 24th, 2008 - 8:48 pm

You Obamamaniacs are amazing. Had Tina Fey been edorsing BO you’d have been so happy as yet another score for Obama.

Suck it up- the b*tch is back and I hope ALL of the b*tches (of course, besides Oprah) start to back her.

Obama’s campaign was behind FAR behind, until he got the golden endorsement of Oprah. How much influence does she HAVE over the American public?! Please people, open your eyes, before it’s too late!

Lets Put the Record Straight   February 24th, 2008 - 11:00 pm

Send a note to your local automatic delegates telling them why you support Hillary, and why you think she will be the best leader for our party and our nation.

Indeed, you can plagiarize it, if you want to, and forward this email to your friends, family and co-workers to tell them to do the same.

*-*-*
To Whom It May Concern:
After watching all the debates, it was very clear to me that Hillary is much more informed about the issues and possible solutions than Obama.

Hillary Clinton is our only hope of keeping American traditions alive and to maintain our position as the one and only Superpower in the world.

My hope is that you will not let yourself be caught up in this moment of “hope” and “change” for we well know that it is only a fleeting fashion.

Our image abroad is of upmost importance… This is where Sen. Clinton is most definitely ready to be “Commander in Chief” on day one. SEN. OBAMA IS NAIVE ABOUT FOREIGN POLICY AND NATIONAL DEFENSE!!!

In all his years in the Senate, “The Almighty” Sen. Kennedy who supports Obama has not done one thing to push for national healthcare insurance. For the healthcare issue, everybody NEEDS to be in the program for any program to succeed…

Sen. Obama might, “MIGHT,” be good but he needs more years of experience. You … Would you want some youngster, in the next election, when YOU will run for re-election, and tell YOU, that all YOU did/accomplished is “NOTHING” and therefore, can be discarded and disregarded… simply based on “ who needs experience when we have more popularity…“

Is this how politics work…?

This is the most important job in the world and YOUR Experience calls YOU for your BEST JUDGMENT… Don’t let popularity and a train wagon invitation… blur your well earned years of sound political judgment…

Being President is about CHARACTER – Hillary has the most right profile and RESUME… Sen. Obama is the Joel Olsteen of politics. He gives some very passionate speeches, but where’s the REAL substance??

We are the base of the party… the TRUE BASE of the Democratic Party.

The issue you are facing in the Democratic Convention is no longer whether if Hilary loses or if Obama wins. Truly, it is about what is good in the long term – therefore, the future of the Democratic Party, which you are a part of.

Are you expecting all these, excited newbie voters, college students, (those Republicans and Independents who have voted in the primary so as to bar Hilary) to be those who will vote and help YOU when time will come for YOUR RE-ELECTION.

Don’t turn off your base. Rather, HEAR IT!

If Sen. Obama gets (heaven help us) the nomination, I can assure you that for many Democrats the Republican candidate Sen. John McCain will look better and better. John McCain is a “Shoe-In” as the next President! HE will get my vote for one…

I am kindly asking you to hear my voice too…

Vote for Hillary.

It is not only her time, it is CRUNCH time.

It is “YOUR” time to help her.

Vote for Hilary! She counts on you! We count on you!

Thank you,

A simple member of your constituency

PROUD OF TINA..SHE HAS WHAT IT TAKES TO DO WHAT IS SO OBVIOUS..

THANKS TINA.
HILLARY 08

gregorio   February 25th, 2008 - 12:06 am

Hillary has “character”? I think that may be the the single most guffaw-producing word I’ve ever heard used to describe the personality traits of either of the Chappaqua Hillbillies.

If perpertrating multi-million dollar land fraud and bankrupting a savings and loan at taxpayer expense or allowing your husband to make a cuckolded fool out of you in front of the entire world is evidence of “character”, then that b*tch has truckloads of it…

Troisième Sarabande   February 25th, 2008 - 12:08 am

Political endorsements are inappropriate on a comedy variety show such as Saturday Night Live.

Tina Fey and any of the show’s other cast members have an absolute right to endorse candidates publicly, but this endorsement on SNL may not so easily be deemed comedy or satire, and therefore it does call into question the equal-time provision of the Federal Communications Act. It does seem possible that John McCain, Ron Paul, Barack Obama, Mike Huckabee, Mike Gravel and now, Ralph Nader may be within their rights as opposing candidates to request equal time.

While I doubt those candidates would opt to pursue this for tactical reasons, it is a bad precedent for SNL to start along this slippery slope.

Cardinal   February 25th, 2008 - 12:33 am

A vote for either Billary or Oprama is a vote for welfare, high taxes and no freedom. Here’s a vision for you. Check out Denmark. They’ve got a great liberal government. Their schooling is free (K-college), their healthcare is free. Many things are free. Even many living expenses. And what do the Danes get for all this free stuff? 50% tax rate. Yes, the government takes HALF of everything they make to spread it around. Equality. Yes, everyone’s poor. Where’s the government get the money for Universal Healthcare? You want your Dr.’s and nurses working as government employees? Envision the DMV and then envision that as your local medical center. You want to give the US government half of everything you make so you get more gov red tape? Go ahead. Vote Democrat.

NOT WITTY.

BORING.

Tina hit it right on the head. Hilarious.
Check out the new Bitch is the new Black t-shirt

That will be the new saying for the 2008 Democratic Nomination.

Rusty   February 25th, 2008 - 1:23 am

YES!!!Hillary Rodham Clinton – First Woman President of the greatest nation. After WWII, we had our golden age (part 1). With Hillary ,we will have our golden age part2!!!
Read this scenario:

February 2009- I see Hillary aka Madam president in the oval office telling Bill:
“Go sit in that corner. I’m working right now. I am making sure all Americans will have healthcare coverage, our troops will come home this year from Iraq, and homeowners will keep their homes and avoid foreclosures, and make sure kids get the quality education they need, and….”. Bill said ” Whoa, slow down ,it’s your first day.”

OR

February 2009
President Obama in the oval office telling Michelle: “Hmmm, hmm (scribble, scribble) do you want to hear my speech for my 2013 inauguration?”.
Michelle said: “Whoa, slow down , it’s your first day.”.
Then his secret service agent knocked and said : “Sir, we intercepted this video of Osama Bin Laden. There’s a message for you.”
President said: “Okay, let me see.”.
Video of Bin laden with english subtitle:
“Hussein Obama? I like the sound of your name. It reminds me of my brother Saddam’s and mine.”.

VOTE4WOMEN   February 25th, 2008 - 1:31 am

YES!!!!!!!!!!!

Tina Fey—THANK YOU! Freakin’ Awesome!!!

It is about time that someone in the media came out to show their support for Hillary. We are SICK of the male dominated media: Biased, BORING, weak, unimaginative, unoriginal, undaring, and tediously predictable. Get OFF Obama’s jock.

Hillary 08!!!!!!!

Jane   February 25th, 2008 - 1:42 am

Saturday Night Live hit it on the nail! Go Hillary!!

SAM   February 25th, 2008 - 1:53 am

I am a McCain supporter, but I am finally happy someone from the television scene came out for Hillary. Hollywood is full of dreamers….literally. Thank god I see an ounce of intelligence on the left. It has been a long time.

James   February 25th, 2008 - 2:00 am

This is all somewhat idiotic. Just another celebrity flapping their gums over who they like. I hope the country looks at each candidate and uses their own judgement to decide. Personally I think Hillary, Obama, McCain and the Huckster are poor candidates, but the at least McCain isn’t out there saying he is going to solve everybody’s problems like the Dems… That’s not the purpose of Gov’t. People need to take responsibility for themselves, and not look to the gov’t for solutions or lay blame on the gov’t for their problems. Example, the idiots who are complaining about Katrina, they were warned to leave the the city, but most of them couldn’t make it out if you gave them a map or a lighted path to follow. Let’s depend less on the gov’t and more on ourselves… And keep Taxes low, and the gov out of our lives as much as possible.

Jenny   February 25th, 2008 - 2:56 am

Does anyone get it? She’ an “anchor” on the news finally endorsing Hillary Clinton like the anchors on CNN, FOX, MSNBC endorse Obama in their not so subtle ways. Looks like SNL is trying to make it a level playing field for Clinton….finally! Thanks SNL for picking a winner! Go Hillary!!!

OR woman   February 25th, 2008 - 10:59 am

Thank you Tina! You took the words right out of my mouth!

maya   February 25th, 2008 - 11:10 am

a celebrity endorsement that mocks celebrity endorsements. great.

by the way, oprah is queen of all bitches, tina. you don’t even rank.

Django   February 25th, 2008 - 1:41 pm

I knew Tina Fey was a deluded liberal, I just didn’t think she was deluded enough to think Hillary can win.

Watch this sketch — it’s way funnier:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wGMgxFE6bms

bob loblaw   February 25th, 2008 - 3:10 pm

Tina Fey is an unfunny hack. She was the head writer when SNL was terrible.

[...] clinton, obama, oprah, politics, snl, tina fey tina fey is my new #1 girl crush…just check this [...]

Concerned   February 25th, 2008 - 9:11 pm

After hearing Tina Fey’s demeaning comments about being a woman getting things done to being a bitch I had to make a choice to boycott the show. I will also look at the advertisers and let them know why I am boycotting the show. She also said, “Bitch is the new black.” While one doesn’t want to read racism into that comment, the fact that she essentially endorsed Senator Clinton, and then made that comment wondered about her racial sensitivity. Senator Obama is an african-american, and the term “black” is another word to describe our citizens who are african-americans. To essentially make the argument that Senator Clinton as a bitch needs to push aside and be the “new black” is so offensive, that I heard it loud and clear. It was embarrassing to hear her yelling this on national TV.

Connie   February 25th, 2008 - 9:45 pm

Tina was so ON! If all the candidates had Oprah’s financial support it might be an even playing field. It’s all about money. Lobbist and Money. Oprah has turned into a scary, scary person, flaunting her billions and her opinions. Tina was correct – “Women toay feel perfectly free to make whatever choice oprah tells them to”. oprah wants obama because of race – she is a racist!

Nancy   February 25th, 2008 - 11:11 pm

Yeah Tina!!! You are wonderful! Very funny and so true.

ULI   February 26th, 2008 - 12:32 am

You rock Tina Fey . . . So true what you said.
Things that are said of male politicians are not said of female . . .
and SNL rocks Ahol123

shonda   February 26th, 2008 - 4:56 am

So did Obama or Bush have something to do with the writers strike? Can you imagine how far ahead Hillary would be if these Clinton supporters would have been able to speek out a few weeks ago!! Yea for Hillary and Yea for SNL and Yea for Tina Fey!

JT   February 26th, 2008 - 5:18 am

Wow…nice to know the sheep are doing what they are supposed to…fighting amongst others while their freedoms disappear.

Obama and Clinton are both in the Council of Foreign Relations which means they both will do what they are told…McCain is in there as well…so your liberties will continue to float away while you bicker about nonsense.

As for some guy who said BilL Clinton didn’t follow United Nations mandate for a genocide…sorry, but we should follow the Constitution not the UN…because soon we will be part of a tyranical New World Order ruled by the men who feel they are superior then all of us.

As for this sketch, it was funny…why can’t you just leave it at that?

Anon123   February 26th, 2008 - 5:28 am

Shameful plug! No wonder SNL has been going downhill for years.

John27   February 26th, 2008 - 1:53 pm

Is it sexist every time I call John McCain a d*ck?

Scott   February 26th, 2008 - 10:59 pm

I hope to vote for a strong female presidental candidate someday who, you know, didn’t base her entire presidental run on the fact that she was married to an overrated president. Somebody who looked forward as opposed to wanting to wallow in the weak acomplishments of her husband. Give me a Nancy Pelosi any day. Now, THERE is a bitch worth admiring! One who doesn’t have an alpha-male husband coming to her defense every week.
And, guess what Tina, I DON’T need a co-presidency or don’t want a return to the 90s.
Those are my reason for wanting Obama!

rick   February 27th, 2008 - 8:54 am

snl is still on the air? well i guess hillary still watches after what she said in debate.

Greg   February 27th, 2008 - 2:40 pm

Sorry guys, Obama is still going to win the election. Glad the media is supporting HIlary somewhat, but hey lets think about this. If all the media supports Obama could there be a reason for that? Hmmm they are the ones talking with him on a daily basis. I wonder what that could mean? OH yeah maybe he issss the BEST canidate for the presidency

boondoggle129   February 27th, 2008 - 4:57 pm

Since when is actually Being Black not… the new… black?

just a thought.

Hazel   February 27th, 2008 - 10:06 pm

I guess after Rudy dropped out, Tina went for her second choice to get that protected feeling.

GoHillary   February 29th, 2008 - 8:41 am

The Obama internet slime machine operates 24/7, posting its shameful attacks against Hillary Clinton on every web site, but so far it has not succeeded in overwhelming the truth. Tina Fey got it right!

Go Hillary!!

Texas Liberal Fem   March 16th, 2008 - 9:34 am

You know, (as Hillary is always saying), you know, this is funny and sort of fem, but it’s also senseless. Hillary is not “bitch,” in the sense Tina Fey suggests. She’s Tammy, as in staying with a man who smears her with his slimy predelictions and temper tantrums. She’s also not qualified; she just makes up lots of stuff. And she’s bitch-y! Really, really bitchy.

Plus, Obama is superior to her in every way, provably so, and he doesn’t grate on people’s nerves and he doesn’t cause whiplash with
convoluted , confused, (and co-dependent) parsing.

Hillary’s no Ann Richards—who would have been a great president. Ann was an incredible governor, and she was never bitchy.

kirby r   March 22nd, 2008 - 10:18 am

Very funny but–

wake up people–this was a joke, not a serious endorsement of Hiliary. Tina may or may not endorse her, but this was what is known to educated people as “parody.”

And for the idiots out there that don’t know it, Obama is not a Muslim just because he’s black and his father came from Africa.

Tina   April 1st, 2008 - 9:09 am

Hilarious! I’m proud to be a Hillary supporter, and I dislike the foaming at the mouth rhetoric from the other side. You don’t have to tear Hillary down to uplife Obama. Hillary had a life well before Bill, and continued to work for the organizations and causes she believed in (mostly supporting women, children and education), after they were married. Obama has the same tradition of serving others, and I really don’t have a problem with him, but I’m ready, so very ready, for a woman President, who incidentally is rated the 16th most liberal senator, and generally votes left. She has seven years of votes to look at, for those who still believe that she’s not a strong liberal. She’s a candidate for everyday people, and I respect her.
