Reporter Who Called Bush ‘Idiot’ for Segway Fall Cracks Ribs in Fall from Contraption

Bookmark and Share

The ex-newspaper editor took great delight in making fun of President Bush for falling off a Segway - the two-wheeled, motorised, gyroscopically balanced scooter that, its makers promise, will never fall over. However, he was bitten by karma and suffered the same fate as Bush.

What goes around comes around. Let me be the first to call this liberal an idiot. I am glad he suffered the fall, maybe he will think twice before opening his trap to disparage others.

Matt   September 3rd, 2007 - 6:48 pm

douchebag idiot.

Steve   September 3rd, 2007 - 6:55 pm

What a clutz. Rove still working behind the scenes. No one is safe.

Rubin   September 3rd, 2007 - 7:51 pm

Please Miss Sepsis.. have him a visit!

Chuck   September 3rd, 2007 - 7:58 pm

well, I would certainly think it wise to reserve calling someone (especially the President of the United States) an idiot before trying the segway yourself!

[...] Hilarious. [...]

Jan   September 3rd, 2007 - 8:41 pm

This is hilarious! Couldn’t have happened to a more deserving bloke. I’m sending this to all of my friends.

tr111   September 3rd, 2007 - 8:56 pm

Rove, you magnificent bastard!
LMAO.

Peter   September 3rd, 2007 - 8:58 pm

He’s also the same asshat who got fired for doctoring war photographs. Typical POS liberal.

WestVirginiaRebel   September 3rd, 2007 - 9:08 pm

Karma hurts, don’t it? :)

VivaGore   September 3rd, 2007 - 9:16 pm

Pull Out NOW!

Viva Gore! Viva Kucinich!

i can’t stop laughing.

god don’t like ugly.

Pog Mahone   September 3rd, 2007 - 11:04 pm

You GOTTA love it! The residents of Berkeley California and other faux intellectual hypocrites must be mourning this guy and rueing the fact that this story got out! How could any intellectual type POSSIBLY have this happen to them when it could ONLY happen to a Republican, or a person from a red state, or a rube, or a person who believes in a creator, or a blue collar worker, or a…… It just goes to show you that these people who are so quick to criticize aren’t all the hot s**t that they think they are themselves! Thank GOD for karma!

Marvin the Martian   September 3rd, 2007 - 11:13 pm

Yeah, you won’t see Jon Stewart or Bill Maher or the other selective lefty hacks covering this one, even though they saturated us ad nauseam with the Bush Segway fall! This doesn’t further “the cause” for them! Propaganda is a one-way street!

princetrumpet   September 3rd, 2007 - 11:42 pm

Don’t worry, Piersie… it’ll only hurt when you breathe. It hurts a heckuvalot more when you fall from such a high perch, you pompous twit.

David A   September 3rd, 2007 - 11:51 pm

Two passages from the Bible (New Living Translation) seem to fit here:

Proverbs 19:8 — “…babbling fools fall on their faces.”

And lastly a suggestion that Mr. Morgan keep his moronic opinions to himself:
Proverbs 17:28 — “Even fools are thought to be wise when they keep silent.”

annie   September 3rd, 2007 - 11:57 pm

So, it turns out that Liberalism is not only a mental disorder, it is a physical one as well.

Good show, Peirs Moron.

Kess   September 4th, 2007 - 2:44 am

HAHAHA!!! I guess we know who’s the biggest idiot, at least Bush didnt break anything. That is definately a foot in the mouth.

what a goofer.

Randy   September 4th, 2007 - 4:39 am

“You’d have to be an idiot to fall off, wouldn’t you Mr President.” Well it looks as if your journalism is flawed or you are. Nice you jackass!

Mark Paquette   September 4th, 2007 - 7:29 am

Ahahahahahahahahaaaaa …

Hellen Barnaby   September 4th, 2007 - 8:08 am

What a bloody idiot, I hope he hurt himself badly. Let he who throws the first stone etc. etc. etc. I love when the lowly (and journalists are the lowest) make a complete idiot of themselves.

darkestknight   September 4th, 2007 - 9:08 am

As I understand it, the reporter hit a curb (kerb) that looks about 6 inches high, and THAT was the cause of the fall.

Bush apparently ‘fell off’ while driving a straight line on a flat surface.

BIG difference.

Sandy   September 4th, 2007 - 9:12 am

Just a wild guess on my part….but it appears there may be a bigger ‘idiot’ out there. Ahhh, yes, and the ‘God of Idiocy’ does not take kindly to using its name in vain. Moron…ya’ got what you deserved..hopefully your hospital stay finds you full of MRCR.

greatamerican   September 4th, 2007 - 9:13 am

So, darkestknight, did the curb jump out in front of him – or does the idiot not know how to drive?

Tom   September 4th, 2007 - 9:13 am

What an utter, crushing idiot of a man this reporter is. Stop making excuses for this piece of trash. He’s a poorly-polished turd whose planet-wide humiliation is richly deserved. If I could jab my fingers against his cracked ribs I would.

darkestknight   September 4th, 2007 - 9:23 am

greatamerican:
I don’t dispute the reporter’s driving skills were poor, but that’s a far cry from just falling off the thing for no good reason. One has a reason, the other really doesn’t.

But remember, this is all based on things as they’ve been presented by other people. For all we know, there could have been a software glitch in the unit Bush was driving.

Walt   September 4th, 2007 - 9:50 am

Who’s your DADDY now…Just wait untill one of these stupid liberal reporters goes bird hunting, ouch.

Ron English   September 4th, 2007 - 10:18 am

If Mr. Bush was an “idiot” for his fall, what do you suppose our friend is for doing the same thing? Surely he was well aware of the President’s mishap and his unkind remarks. Do you suppose God was just having a little fun with the “motor-mouthed” reporter?

Mark Paquette   September 4th, 2007 - 10:25 am

Actually, what darkestnight is trying to say is one was Bushmchitlerburton and the other is a sainted liberal – big difference.
My rebuttal is: Hahahahahahaaaaaa … instant karma is gonna get you.

darkestknight   September 4th, 2007 - 11:50 am

I’m actually a long-time conservative. Just think Bush has some problems. For all I know, the reporter went over the curb because he was DUI. Wasn’t he also driving with one hand at times? Like I said, no first-hand knowledge.

darkestknight   September 4th, 2007 - 12:11 pm

To clarify my last comment…I realize the vehicle isn’t ’steered’ using the hands like on a bicycle or scooter, but I have to hypothesize that holding on with only one hand while waving the other hand and arm all about, puts things off-balance and might even cause the vehicle’s computer to mis-interpret directional input.

Paul   September 4th, 2007 - 12:24 pm

Only broke ribs? Too bad.

James   September 4th, 2007 - 12:57 pm

darkestknight September 4th, 2007 – 12:11 pm

So in other words he was driving the thing like an idiot and deserved to fall

Jarhead1833   September 4th, 2007 - 12:57 pm

HAHAHAHAHAHA……At least he isn’t paralyzed, because then we would have to suffer seeing him on the television whining about embryonic stem cell research!

the Q   September 4th, 2007 - 1:08 pm

Well, as an independent, judging by the comments, it sure seems that both liberals and conservatives are idiots.

Mark Paquette   September 4th, 2007 - 2:38 pm

Apparently, independents are idiots as well, then. Mind you, I am not calling the guy an idiot (or worse) for falling on a Segway, but he’s just cut himself with his own double-edged sword except that now noone has any sympathy.
I apologize, darkestknight, for accusing you of being a dirty, dirty, dirty, ignorant, brain-washed libtard … generally those are the ones who blame Bush and excuse everyone else (not affiliated with Bush).
I personally have never ridden on a Segway … they look like fun, but I’d expect to take a spill myself … I certainly wouldn’t, though, expect to fly over the handlebars if it’s incapable of tipping over. I also wouldn’t presume to call someone an idiot if they fell off of one, even if I were the MASTER segway driver because we’re not all equally physically (or mentally) adept.

Walt   September 4th, 2007 - 3:57 pm

Independent…code word for coward..to scared to mount a segway and to slow to get out of the way

[...] Now Piers has fallen off a Segway himself — on camera. The poor klutz broke three ribs. Check out the video at Breitbart.tv. [...]

Jebster   September 5th, 2007 - 7:59 pm

liberal idiot…

Stephen Barker   September 5th, 2007 - 9:56 pm

idiot.

Rightwingnutjob   September 6th, 2007 - 12:25 am

Too bad the moron couldn’t doctor his video like he did those war pictures. Perhaps it was just a lapse due to his “cultural upbringing.” Maybe he should try dog fighting instead.

Bernard   September 6th, 2007 - 9:41 am

How does it feel to be a bigger idiot than the president of the United States??? As i remember, the president did not break anything!!! How do your words taste now?

Avenger   September 6th, 2007 - 1:37 pm

Too bad it wasnt his neck.

[...] Here is a link to a video of Piers’ folly.  http://www.breitbart.tv/?p=5196 [...]

Jeffrey   February 4th, 2008 - 7:53 pm

The best part is that he got hurt too. Its just a shame he didn’t end up disabled.
