Fired Up and Falling Down: String of Crowd Fainting Incidents Hits Obama Rallies

Los Angeles Times on one of the six recent fainting incidents: "Barack Obama's first and only rally on election day came to a sudden and lengthy stop when a young woman in the Dartmouth College gym fainted, and was eventually rolled off on a gurney by emergency medical technicians. At first Obama half-narrated the episode, saying soothing things like, 'She's OK,' 'She's talking.' But the longer she lay on the floor, the quieter Obama got, standing on the podium, arms folded, looking worried as the medical crew worked."

Talk about making something out of nothing.
I’m pretty sure this has nothing to do with Obama specifically. If people are standing still in place for extended periods….they can faint. That’s why the army tells it soldier not to lock there legs when standing at attention. Otherwise, all your blood gets trapped in your legs…..and you faint.

nofooled   February 16th, 2008 - 1:37 pm

It’s an O-gasm.

Blondie   February 16th, 2008 - 1:39 pm

These fainting incidents are all staged; they’re fake!

spiker   February 16th, 2008 - 1:41 pm

It seems like we are seeing a new brand of “snake oil salesman”, doesn’t it seem a bit too convienient that this has happened six times? Maybe our candidate is trying to show his “caring, soft side” by planting these groupies in the crowd to faint on cue. Just a thought.

Lou   February 16th, 2008 - 1:42 pm

Ed, a fainting lady at every Obama rally is normal? How come it never happens at other candidates rallies, they are also crowded. There is something very fishy here, the FBI should investigate.

T_Macallan   February 16th, 2008 - 1:47 pm

This skit by Obama is as fake as a cellphone call from Rudy’s wife. And it’s getting old fast. Now that the media is catching on, look for there to be a sudden end to all these phoney “fainting” spells at his traveling dog & pony shows.

LOL – what a bunch of dopes who fawn over that empty-suit.

He’s nothing more than a cardboard cut-out who promises everything to everybody.

Obama: Just another Socialist in a long line of Socialists from the Democratic Party.

Great spenders of other people’s money.

lasertex   February 16th, 2008 - 1:51 pm

Heeeeaaaaallllllll!!!!! Now just let the lady get up and walk, glory to jesus:)

Scott K   February 16th, 2008 - 1:52 pm

Soon we will have a Muslim for president. Bin Laden will have his inside man in the Presidents office.

He said he wants to meet with our enemies and ask them what we can do so they’ll like us… This man is so naive it’s scary.

Adam   February 16th, 2008 - 1:53 pm

Hey, Lou.

It DOES happen at other rallies.

Go to Youtube to see the MANY videos of people fainting at Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton speeches.

For that matter, try going to a sporting event or a concert some time.

These are HOT, CROWDED rooms filled with hundreds, if not thousands of people standing still for a long time, close together.

I’ve been to FOUR rallies for FOUR different candidates, and someone fainted at each one. Go to Youtube and look them up, don’t be a jerk.

Ian   February 16th, 2008 - 1:56 pm

All of you except ED are jerks. Grow up

Mark   February 16th, 2008 - 1:57 pm

Hey, Mark.

CNN debunked that “Muslim” lie in JANUARY OF LAST YEAR.

Where the heck have YOU been?

See: Factcheck.org, Snopes.com, if you’re still buying that crap.

Don’t be an idiot.

Ralph   February 16th, 2008 - 2:06 pm

In a large crowd of people, especially standing up, some will faint.
Even after we were warned not to lock our knees, one friend of mine, a physically fit male, dropped out during a graduation ceremony.
I think, not locking your knees keeps you more awake, consciously engaged in standing up. Also, it would let you fold up, instead of falling all the way down on your face.

David   February 16th, 2008 - 2:06 pm

Hey, Nolie.

Fainting at Bill Clinton speech:

Fainting at Hillary Clinton speech:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=78rfAAjriBo

Understand?

These are HOT, CROWDED ROOMS filled with THOUSANDS of people, OFTEN dehydrated.

Have you BEEN to any rallies for candidates in the past year?

LK   February 16th, 2008 - 2:06 pm

Scott K,

Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.

david   February 16th, 2008 - 2:09 pm

seriously people, your hate is just shining through. i’m not talking about racism – i’m talking about hate in general.

fact 1: you don’t know if these things are fake – and yet you speak like you KNOW the truth. and you don’t. that’s called a lie – and it’s despicable when your words are used against others to deface them.

fact 2: people have been known to faint in crowed areas after standing for long periods of time. he brings together between five and thirty THOUSAND people at any given event.

fact 3: obama’s rallys are high energy and very exciting – couple that with my second fact and you have perfectly LOGICAL reasons why 6 people have fainted out of well over a hundred speeches and rallies.

so stop lying if you don’t know the truth and passing your opinion off as a guaranteed fact.

peace,
david

An Obamasm: A media-induced phenomenon of hyping a fork-tongued politicians whose hollow words elicit feelings of mindless excitement from those to whom the hollow rhetoric is directed. Known side effects include vomiting, fainting, tax increases and significant expansion of the Federal Government.

BPQ   February 16th, 2008 - 2:28 pm

I fainted at a Hillary rally-right after I was overcome with nausea and vomit.

Richard H. Ebright   February 16th, 2008 - 2:28 pm

I would wager that at least some of the “fainting” incidents have been staged by the Clinton campaign as a means of disrupting Obama campaign events.

When one is behind in the race (as Clinton is), behind in fund-raising (as Clinton is), and lacking in integrity (as Clinton is), then the use of dirty tricks straight from the Nixon campaign playbook could seem attractive.

j   February 16th, 2008 - 2:29 pm

faintgate 2008. Will the fainters come forward?

common sense   February 16th, 2008 - 2:43 pm

These are dirty tricks staged by the Clinton campaign to disrupt Obama campaign events.

Plain and simple.

myron   February 16th, 2008 - 2:45 pm

Scary! Such idol-worship is exactlly how the Nazis came to power in 1932.

avgjoe   February 16th, 2008 - 2:47 pm

If they aren’t faked, it’s just wild coincidence that the fainters are always in the front row.

Gareof   February 16th, 2008 - 2:47 pm

jeremiah wright, (obama’s pastor), benny hinn, oral roberts, swaggert, et al would be proud – obama’s church (trinity united church of christ) is surely proud of his ability to “move” the people to faint

fel   February 16th, 2008 - 2:50 pm

Well call me, stuipd, whatever, silly, becuase I will vote for Obama, Hussein, Osama, whatevet to get the Reich wing of the Republican Nazi party the F&*k out of the White House and the Congress.
The Repugus went way to far with their right wing religious idiocy and it is time for things to swing back the other way, and if that means the swing to far to the left in the process, than maybe you followers of Rus and Billo will think twice next time before you put another dimwit up for election just becuase he says Jesus alot.

Vince Foster   February 16th, 2008 - 3:26 pm

I love it, if he is having these faintings staged, he is making the clintons look like novices at their own game….except when it comes to a possibly extention to the Clinton Dead List, hasn’t been anyone added for awile, but then this election isn’t over either.

Lee   February 16th, 2008 - 3:34 pm

K. West   February 16th, 2008 - 3:49 pm

This type of idolitry used to be reserved for religious figures and rock bands. American poiticians were never meant to be cult figures – the ignorance of the uneducated masses is truly frightening, especially when their new hero is a hard left socialist.

DA   February 16th, 2008 - 3:53 pm

I am sure I would have fainted also after hearing how he is going to make this country into a welfare state… I cant wait to see Bin Laden make a visit to the White House to discuss our future with the empty suite.

When will people understand that he is nothing more then a socialist.

Claire W Solt, PhD   February 16th, 2008 - 4:11 pm

Yes, please bring back the Dems to rationalize away all warnings signs. Don’t worry, they can always take out an aspirin factory, if things get tight.

FAKE FAKE FAKE. Even his comments are the same each time. Worse than Rudy’s phonecalls because he is wasting $ utilizing EMTs for fakery.

JR   February 16th, 2008 - 4:43 pm

I faint every time I hear HRC cackle, promise universal health care, immediated troop withdrawal, to tax the ‘rich’, reign in corporations,etc., etc. I’ve fallen down so much my wallet’s beginning to hurt.

Ted   February 16th, 2008 - 4:46 pm

When Obama came to Delaware someone in front of me actually fainted, though we were kind of far from the stage so he didn’t stop his speech but the guy was definitely genuine in his fainting, considering most people had been standing for at least 2 hours to get through security and into the event site.

Dan   February 16th, 2008 - 4:48 pm

i was at that first rally. it was in LA in January of 2007! it was real that time, but 6 times in over a year? NO WAY! there’s no way that once every 2 months a person would faint at an obama rally. that’s just ridiculous! people need to care far more about issues and far less about whether campaigns are planting fainters in their audiences. it’s a big deal that the clinton campaign plants questioners in their audiences.

Dan   February 16th, 2008 - 4:50 pm

it was january, but it was early 07. figured i would fix my error.

jgoodson   February 16th, 2008 - 4:52 pm

Thanks CHRIS for the link to townhall and Hugh Hewitts show. So good to know that Michelle Obama will have the government “save” our souls.

Is Obama a politician or the savior or messiah? If its staged its bad and if its not its also bad. Fainting for a politician?

The last great messiah the world had was years ago and he started WW2 and killed millions. We dont need a messiah running this country especially one with as little experience as Obama

Tony Darbo   February 16th, 2008 - 5:30 pm

More of the old Obama Drama Queen BS. The Media hype of a big fat zero and everyone is literally falling for it….Other than his talk, he says nothing! Yet half-man, half girlies like Chris Matthews get funny feelings running up their legs and let you know that he is the real deal…Spare us all, we beg you!

Indep.   February 16th, 2008 - 5:38 pm

We got us a rock star in the making. next will be panties on the stage!!! YA BABY!!

Mike   February 16th, 2008 - 6:15 pm

This is a non-story.

Not a big Obama fan or foe. Although I certainly favor him over Hillary.

favy   February 16th, 2008 - 6:25 pm

The Clinton stealth will do anything to keep the focus off the message. Some smart person in the press will eventually figure it out and do a follow up on the supposed fainters. Carville joked about the Beatle-like Obama mania three weeks ago. The obvious inside joke here is Hillary can’t get anybody excited about her, including her husband.

Saddam   February 16th, 2008 - 6:34 pm

Did anyone catch the “camel’s nose under the tent” comment from BHO? I know it played well in Tehran…

ShowMeSt   February 16th, 2008 - 6:43 pm

GREAT QUESTIONS Swibbie!!! Also, WHY do Senators get PAID when they are out campaigning? shouldn’t they at LEAST suspend their pay??? Are you able to go interview for a new job on your company’s time??? Also I’m looking for a DO-NOTHING PREZ, least govt., least taxes, least BS, least regulation. They can keep STRONG military & give our social security back. We can certainly manage it better than they have!!!! Look at your W-2!! Is it DISGUSTING OR WHAT??????? Outrageous, disgusting.

ShowMeSt   February 16th, 2008 - 6:51 pm

Politicians will do anything, Hill&Bill, over the top ANYthing for communist power. Bottom line, who will DO the least, least govt, least taxes, least regulation? that’s what I want a DO-nothing govt that stays OUT of our lifes!!! How can these senators get PAID while out campaigning?? Shouldn’t they at LEAST suspend their pay???? Do you get paid to go out & interview for another job on YOUR companies time??? what slimy losers on OUR dollar!!!!

Bonk   February 16th, 2008 - 6:58 pm

Good things dont always happen when the congress and whitehouse are the same political party yet this is what is probaby going to happen soon again. I predict the dems will control things until the corruption gets so bad the nation cleans house and puts the other party in power again.

Swibbie   February 16th, 2008 - 7:32 pm

Um Hunter, we are not talking about John McCain. We are talking about Barak Obama. People are going goo-goo over his “save the world” speeches, yet cannot even name one accomplishment. Nice try at changing the subject, though.

I bet you can’t even name one piece of legislation that he passed while in the Illinois State Senate, let along the US Senate.

Mike   February 16th, 2008 - 8:15 pm

Mark Stephenson quote: “His crazy Mom left an African Muslim for an Indonesian one. THE GUY IS A MUSLIM.”

Mark, why do you hate Muslims so much? Or better yet, do you know that you are a bigot, or do you not?

Obama is a Christian, not that it matters. Hate breeding idiot…

Chris A   February 16th, 2008 - 8:19 pm

It’s the power of satin. Obama will be the death of this world. We are doomed!!!

Ted Onora   February 16th, 2008 - 8:21 pm

What are we up to? SEVEN identical fainting fakes?

Obama always says the same thing. The fainter is always in the same spot.

I’d get suspicious after two incidences, but SEVEN? C’mon. What a fraud.

We got McCain versus this fraud nobody B. Hussein Cocaine. This has got to be the worst selection of candidates ever.

babaloo   February 16th, 2008 - 9:24 pm

I hope this is just due to the winter illness season which seems to be very bad this year, and not some overexcited cult followers getting “overcome” by their messiah message of hope and change.

Contempt   February 16th, 2008 - 9:26 pm

Today’s Democrat party is the party of silly immature Women and overly emotive people who do not think rationally and are out of control of their emotions. God help us if these people take over the government.

Lou   February 16th, 2008 - 9:30 pm

Obama is as phony as a 3 dollar bill. Looks like all these “fainting ladies” are planted there at his rallies to create a hysteria mood. The same thing was done by the snake oil salesmen and revival shows many years ago. He always says “don’t worry, she’ll be OK” – how does he know that? haha

Smitty White   February 16th, 2008 - 9:31 pm

Rudy had his cell phone bit and Barry has the fainting bit. God help us if this idiot gets elected…

john   February 16th, 2008 - 9:31 pm

I just want to point out the ONLY people using this “messiah” thing are opponents of the man. They are frustrated they had a boring group of white men on their side and they are stuck with an old guy who, if he was going to win, should have won 8 years ago.

Next will be selling it like Obama supporters are “saying” he is the messiah. I don’t think this crap is going to fly anymore babaloo.

Mikey   February 16th, 2008 - 9:47 pm

Benny Hill would be proud, Obama taking a page right out of his playbook.

mop   February 16th, 2008 - 9:48 pm

“Next will be selling it like Obama supporters are “saying” he is the messiah.”

Ok, what?

JPizzle   February 16th, 2008 - 9:49 pm

If you’re a true conservative, Hillary is your best option that’s left. That’s how sad things are right now.

nolie   February 16th, 2008 - 9:52 pm

Babaloo is spot on. When an Obama supporter gets starting talking about his good points, the gist of his statements is that Obama is going to “save” us. There are no specifics, all the supporter knows is that Obama is all things good and will fix everything. It takes a lot of faith to believe like this.

The real question is whether Obama is just hiding his ideas to avoid turning off any thinking voters, or whether he really has no firm ideas or plans. And yes, anybody with a mind knows that these fainters are plants.

Mrs. Buttermeup   February 16th, 2008 - 9:56 pm

It’s part of the “Messiah” routine. “Oh, Dearie, what a nice young man, saving America one person at a time! I’d like my daughter to marry a nice young saviour like that!”

BigT   February 16th, 2008 - 9:56 pm

NIXON was destroyed by Hillarity Alinsky RodThem.
She’s the one that figured out how to bluff him.
Nixon was no worse than his enemies, therefore, and, indeed, never quite understood how PIAPS and the rest took him down. Plus, Nixon was a Lib, a big guv lib. And an idiot for GOING to China rather than having MaoZeDung COME HERE.
Ask yourselves: Did any of Nixon’s lawyers suffer the fates of Vincent Foster and Ron Brown?
Ask yourselves: Did Pat Nixon ever appropriate a single piece of Federalist furniture from the White House? And, as I recall, Nixon always wore a coat and tie in the Oval Office. No girls allowed. Apropos these SWOONERS: KIDS fainted at Elvis concerts in those days. They were left in place until they awakened. No press reports. Elvis, remember, liked Nixon. Elvis didn’t like Adlai Stevenson and wouldn’t have gone for Bama. As to Hillarity, neither Elvis, Nixon, or JFK, for that matter, would have thought her anything but a weird rich Commie hippy. Hence, Nixon’s underestimating her by not having Hoover monitor her every move and arresting her for pot or something.

Yelena   February 16th, 2008 - 10:03 pm

Hillary had people in the audience as plants to ask pre-determined questions so she can look great answering questions.

Obama has pre-arranged people in the audience to faint so he can show the crowd how caring he is.

Shinea   February 16th, 2008 - 10:08 pm

Thinking people shouldn’t be so quick to dismiss the “messiah thing”. His supporters act like hyperventilating teenage girls at a rock concert. While they may not see it as the second coming it looks exactly like what went on at Beatles concerts in the 60’s. As a boring old white guy who saw this same thing going on at numerous concerts, I hope you hero worshipers can maintain your sanity long enough to make a reasoned choice in November. Regardless of who you vote for you should use your head not your heart to make real world decisions. Remember, they too started thinking they were more popular then Christ.

Murf   February 16th, 2008 - 10:08 pm

If there is some doubt about whether or not these incidents are real, find the women involved and ask them. Quite frankly, I can’t imagine why the campaign would want to stage something so silly as a fainting spell, but who knows. In one incident, it appears that people have to yell just to get attention drawn to the person who went down. Doesn’t seem like a staged event to me, but anything is possible. It does appear that most of the occurrences are among those closest to the stage. Those folks have, most likely, been standing a long time. Hungry tired people who’ve been standing a long time are prime candidates for fainting.

Mark Stephens   February 16th, 2008 - 10:11 pm

“Hey, Mark.

CNN debunked that “Muslim” lie in JANUARY OF LAST YEAR.

Where the heck have YOU been?”

CNN did no such thing. Obama was born a Muslim, in Islam once a Muslim always a Muslim. You Democrats hate that fact and all the name calling in the world will not change it.

He is at best, clearly a Muslim sympathizer.

His crazy Mom left an African Muslim for an Indonesian one. THE GUY IS A MUSLIM.

chris green   February 16th, 2008 - 10:11 pm

no story here. These things always happen in large crowds. people get exhausted standing and being pushed around by the flow of the crowd, and it can get hit and stuffy. When obama was here in seattle the other week, the local sports arena was filled – they had to stop letting in people, with over 20k people total. That many people crammed together makes problems like this become statistically likely. If jon mccain could find a way to get 20k people to show up for his rally, there’d be fainting incidents too.

Obabababa   February 16th, 2008 - 10:12 pm

Omabagasms galore! Fainting isn’t funny, but watching this regular rally-fainting routine here IS hillarious.

At least no one will be fainting at McCain rallies – unless he puts people to sleep.

horatio   February 16th, 2008 - 10:22 pm

The first thing I think when I meet someone who says they are an Obama supporter is “stupid, gullible, and silly.”

Jonathan Fox   February 16th, 2008 - 10:22 pm

My name is obama I am for cute kittens, playfull puppies, warm sunny weather and no guilt free ice cream. WHAT A TOTAL PHONEY SLICK WILLIE WOULD BE PROUD.

20yrParamedic   February 16th, 2008 - 10:33 pm

Interesting that so many here site “their best guess” at the epidemology of syncopal episodes (simple fainting)when they attempt to legitimize the fact that it always in the front row, (in perfect view of the TV camera’s)and Mr. Obama recites the same exact response each time. My professional opion is that they are staged. So far is Seattle’s Key Arena is concerened, the attendance was 17,690. I have worked 100+ events there with “sell out” crowds and not encountered continous fainting episodes. It is important to note that also in Seattle, the patients exam was unremarkable and she refused further aid or transportation to be evaluated by a physician.

MarkFu   February 16th, 2008 - 10:34 pm

david, you run fast and loose with the word “hate”, as many libs do when someone dares to disagree with their view of things.

I have not read anything here in these posts that illustrates lying or hate. I do see healthy doses of humor, cynicism, skepticism and even some contempt. How funny you should end your post with “peace” as if you are the arbiter of what constitutes “hate” and “peace”. Can there truly be peace, david, if someone takes issue with you?

Dick   February 16th, 2008 - 10:40 pm

hahaha he is like the socialist father i never had. so caring and gentle..it makes me want to give him 50% of my income.

JB   February 16th, 2008 - 10:47 pm

If they’re fainting now – wait till he (or Shrillary) gets elected and they get their tax bills !

Chris   February 16th, 2008 - 10:49 pm

Several possibilities here –

1. Team BO is planting the fainters…highly unlikely as I don’t think he is stupid enough to do it so many times. His rhetoric is completely vacuuous but he ain’t that dumb.

2. Team Clinton is planting the fainters to make him look like a snake oil salesman…I wouldn’t put anything past that woman so a moderate possibility exists of this. She’ll do ANYTHING to cut him off at the knees.

3. Genuine fainters…highly likely. But BO is milking it to it’s fullest potential.

Re: the Messiah thing…the scariest thing I have heard recently is a speech given by Michelle in which she tells us how BO is going to come and straighten out our souls. Link to the details here. This is truly scary and more reminiscent of something out of Germany in the mid 30s.

Mark C   February 16th, 2008 - 10:51 pm

I was at the rally (3rd into the video) where a woman fainted near the front of the stage. I was standing 3 feet away….

It wasn’t an episode of religious fervor. It was really hot near the stage. We had been standing for nearly an hour and a half. People were packed in trying to get as close to Oprah as they could.

Robyn   February 16th, 2008 - 10:55 pm

Hmmm…sounds like maybe they could have been HOT standing outside with the sun beaming down on everyone….or maybe, DE-HYDRATED…or maybe they were sick, who knows, but this whole thing is ridiculous. There are so many more news items that you could be covering.

Parker   February 16th, 2008 - 10:57 pm

It is an indisputable FACT that Obama studied and practiced fundamentalist Islam (in Arabic), until the age of 10, while living with his mother in Indonesia.

That does not, however, mean he is a practicing or faithful Muslim. Ironocally, he has been a member of a “Christian” Black Power church in the U.S. for the last 20 years. The Black Power roots of the leader of his church are well documented – and almost as racist and hate oriented as fundamentalist Islam.

That said, neither of these facts means that Obama himself is a racist – or that he even believes in half of what has been said in any of his experiences with religion.

So, to you far Right nuts – don’t jump to conclusions. And to you far Left nuts, it is NOT Swiftboating to bring out the facts about someone who is running for president. It is a good thing.
I can already hear the accusations of racism and “Swiftboating” at the moment that the slightest questioning of Obama begins. That in itself is the WORST form of racism – because race-baiters are supposed to know better.

Don’t you think that most of the “nuts” who are bringing up Obama’s religion are Clintonistas? They have the most to gain from saying that.

OH MY GOD. The SLANDER comes spewing from the un-informed sheep! ANti-christ? Coward? Moron?

WHAT FOOLS YOU ARE! No wonder you dimwits electd Bu$h twice and now are singing the praises of John “Keating 5″ McLame. You’ll believe ANYTHING except the TRUTH!

SOme fool here states the “undisputed FACT” that Obama is a Muslim. WRONG! Another compares him to Hitler in 1930s Germany. HA! Another states that he will destroy the country and yet another claims that Bin Laden will now have his man in the white house! IDIOCY! SO TRANSPARENT!

The smear campaign is in FULL EFFECT, I just can’t imagine the filth coming from you fools in the coming months.

Today Obama was called a “Halfrican” on Faux News. CNN ran a story comparing Obama’s popularity to a “cult”. The myth of Obama’s “style over substance” is trumpeted as fact in nearly every broadcast and now folks are calling him the new Hitler/Antichrist because some people fainted at his rallies.

These slurs are to be expected. Obama will handle them with grace, as he’s done in the past. McCain will hope that the racial slurs and lies continue and that America will forget his past as one of the chief criminals in the S&L Scandal of the 80’s. Google Keating Five.

Some of you really believe the insanity you are spouting. Truly sad. For the others, please educate yourselves to the truth before slandering a good man who wants to help this country achieve the things that our forefathers fought for.

Yours Truly…..Hillarys Top Campaign Advisor…!!!

Pleeeze….. fainting is the norm when secret service makes attendees get to events 2-5 hours before event, no food, no drink, tight space, standing all the time…and then finally, when the candidate gets to the stage, they all start dropping like flies. But it happens, not just with Obama, but EVERY Time a candidate, or the President for that matter walks to the stage. The difference is the President doesn’t stage manage the fainting like Obama has been doing.

Jeff   February 17th, 2008 - 12:22 am

The Hillary campaign planted these fainters and the LA times story.

The first few were legit but than the HRC campaign decided they could make something of this and planted fainters at rallys and also other hysterical people to diminnish or try to diminish Obama.

Ya all know its true!

Speaking of people being scared of religious talk by the Cons. What is even more scary is spiritual talk by liberals. Obama talking about the damaged “souls” and “Heaven on Earth” is plain scary. Please tell me when Bush has spoke as if he was a messiah? The cons talk religion noting the teachings of an actual religion, ie. Christianity. Obama talks religion noting his own teachings. Yowsers!

In your post of February 16th, 2008 – 10:57 pm you said…

Quote – “That said, neither of these facts means that Obama himself is a racist – or that he even believes in half of what has been said in any of his experiences with religion.” – End Quote

Obama’s continued loyalty to Reverend Wright and failure to renounce and separate himself from his heretic teachings is all thinking person needs to know. Reverend Wright is not a legitimate preacher of the Church of Christ. No more than the extortionists Reverend Al or Jessie Jackson are. He is a race-bating, opportunist, phony, plain and simple. With a dash a scripture thrown in for cover. He advocates a separatist agenda and spews hateful rhetoric and he equates Zionism with racism.

Obama is very dangerous, a wolf in sheep’s clothing, and not what he seems. He is so unknown he stands a real chance of fooling a majority of American voters and getting elected. Now that he has a real chance of winning people need to wake up and take the time to learn what the most left leaning senator in the nation really believes and what he has planned for us. This guy is a big government is the way, the individual is secondary, praise the community, hardened socialist.

Even if the fainting is from genuine exhaustion and standing for hours, the people who attend these Obama rallies are noted for their crying and other emotional outbursts. Proving that Libs run on pure emotion. No logic whatsoever factors into their decision making. THIS is the main reason I am not a democrat, I refuse to act like that.

Bob, the right to bear arms is unequivocally established in our constitution, as is your right to freedom of speech — misplaced and wasted as that right may be, in your case.

If I were you, I would start worrying less about “angry people” hiding in the bushes with shotguns, and worry more about the constant and progressive encroachment of our basic, inalienable rights by a government that continues to grow more self-serving, sinister, and underhanded by the hour.

We are indeed under attack, but it’s not your law-abiding tobacco-chewing churchgoing neighbor with the .45 locked in his drawer that you have to worry about.

In the case of anarchy, Bob, I will be glad to have my trusty rifle at the ready. Ask those law-abiding residents in New Orleans who were stripped of their arms by a wayward above-the-law bureaucracy during a time of crisis, how it felt to be disarmed in the face of just such anarchy.

Earth to you, Bob. Cheapening and diluting the Constitution of the United States is not going to help.

I am still waiting for an Obama supporter to answer three simple questions:

1) Name one thing Obama has accomplished while in the Senate? Naming post offices doesn’t count.

2) How is Obama going to “bring us together”, when at least 50% of the American people disagree with his pro-abortion stance and an equal number of people don’t want the nanny state government controlling all facets of our lives?

3) How does having tea and crumpets and making nice with our sworn enemies, like Iran, going to prevent them from trying to blow us up? Is he going to tell them we are willing to give up our freedom and become more like them?

we can only be thankful george cant run again Obama is the answer plus Dems got the house and senate to work with him

SpecWar   February 17th, 2008 - 2:39 am

Watch the video again, folks. In each case, Obama just happens to be looking right where the person faints as it occurs. If this was a Clinton plant, he wouldn’t know where to look. Whenever someone faints at an event, it generates a reaction in the group of people in the immediate vicinity of the victim, then more people, then the candidate, then his reaction and the resulting commotion gradually attracts the attention of the rest of the crowd. When Obama is delivering his speech lines, he’s turning back and forth over a wide arc, viewing the large crowd, but he always happens to be looking right at the person as they faint. I suspect they are doing this on a certain key word in the speech, or when Obama turns to look right at them. On top of all that, you can add the fact that it’s not summer, and some of these events are indoors, and you can only conclude that this is obviously staged. P.T Barnum would be proud!

Joe   February 17th, 2008 - 2:50 am

Myron,

As a history buff, I can let you know that the Nazi’s did not come to power based on idol worship. First off, the Nazi’s failed to gain power on two previous occasions (once prior to WWI and then once again after WWI). It wasn’t until their economy was ruined by corrupt insiders within government, that the populous was interested in a firm dictatorship taking the realms of government. As a jewish man, and a educated man, I take offense to you comparing anything Obama or Hillary or anything in America to the Nazi’s reign of terror.

Hunter   February 17th, 2008 - 2:52 am

McCain Supporters

Can anyone give me one piece of legislation McCain has set forth, that has had any substantive change in the past 30 years? Its one thing to be in the senate for 2 years and accomplish little, its another to have been there 3 decades and accomplish little. Im a republican but the whole attack on barack seems hypocritical.

Bonk   February 17th, 2008 - 2:56 am

Republicans really dont like McCain and they will not show up in great numbers to vote this election and that plus the excitement and high turnout from the dems will give them the whitehouse for at least four years

Robert   February 17th, 2008 - 3:04 am

People like me have been warning you about this. For the past few decades the media has been bashing Whites and deifying Blacks in order to create this wave of White guilt. That is the only thing fueling this campaign – Obama is a coward and a moron and so are his supporters.

laura   February 17th, 2008 - 3:17 am

For those saying this is staged — I don’t get how having people in the audience faint is to Obama’s benefit. Just more attention? Or are we to think he is so fascinating that now people are fainting? It all seems silly to me. I can’t imagine why they would stage something like this. Of course then I can’t imagin any ADULT getting all gaga over anyone who has stated so little on the exact “changes” they plan to make.

I’m no Obama supporter, mind you, but I have to agree with Ed — I used to be in the Navy, and I DID pass out once during an award ceremony. The whole “don’t lock your legs” thing didn’t exactly work for me. Though I saw it coming and mumbled something to my shipmates who grabbed me and once I sat down a moment I was fine. I didn’t lie there for 20 minutes and need a medic…

PS: McCain for President! I guess. I really liked Romney… ;-(

rightwingconspiracy   February 17th, 2008 - 3:41 am

I’m about to faint thinking that he is actually a presidential candidate.

Tom   February 17th, 2008 - 3:57 am

Obama is using the rhetoric of all the mass murderer totalitarians in history.. it is the rhetoric of the We the good trying to unite the country for a common good goal and we are pitted against them the bad that have caused a mess of the country in general and the World at large…

The victims keep telling themselves it is in the best interest of the country and patriotic to shut down opposing views.. It is liberals against Conservatives.

It sells like Jim Jones Kool-Aid and the vast hypnosis is powerful. Obama lacks specifics because he is 100 percent Progressive Liberal, Moveon.org sponsored empty suit.

Go ahead and question his policies and you become the intolerant, the problem, even racist…

Mike   February 17th, 2008 - 4:14 am

Some of your conspiracy theory, tin-foil hat wearing “faked!” posts are cracking us up over here. ;-)

As soon as a guy takes his position of one with the microphone to alert medical staff to people fainting, it’s faked. Man you guys live in a sad, sad world.

One guy even said that since it always happens in the front row it MUST be faked! Bwaaahahaaaa. OMG… couldn’t be the that it just happens to be the easiest place for him to see it happen?

This happens all the time. The real story is why this is being considered news… by right-wing, hate filled, shoot first, bigoted nutjobs.

VOTE – HILLARY CLINTON – PRESIDENT!!
America’s True Presidential Leader – President!!

HILLARY is experience and she is ready to do the presidentail duties on day one. (That is cinvienient… Bill is also ready to do the “presidentail”!!! Along with any tail that he likes!)

HILLARY is well educated and she will get the job done. (I think Bill -with Monica’s help- is the one getting the “job” done.. If ya know what I’m talkin’! :o)

HILLARY is a very hard worker and she will work for change for America. (Like, for example she’ll change Obama’s “change” message and use it as her own)

HILLARY will done (I hope she will ‘not’ done) many great things (to) for America – she is committed to (destroying) America.

HILLARY is a doer for all people. – I think you meant “Bill” is a doer of all people, or is it just interns?

HILLARY will give hope to the hopeless and renew the American Spirit of all people. – By having us look at her messed up family and values and hope we don’t turn out like her.

HILLARY is America’s True (Take your) Change (when she garnishes poor people’s wages for her healthcare) Machine and she is ready to get the Wheels of Change rolling for America as president.

HILLARY will produce (only by fixing) the Democratic Presidential Win for America.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This vacuous and shallow charlatan has the charisma of a 1940’s traveling tent revival preacher but has the background and intent of an afro-centric Marxist. Lacking strong principles of his own, he is putty in the hands of the far left.
To the poster that says he can’t be racist or hold any negative feelings towards whites because he is part white, wake up. Do some research. It actually gives him a reason to hate himself and loathe whites. There are plenty that have come and gone before him with the same problem.
I’ve always wondered why chics faint en masse at concerts like The Beatles and now at Obama rallies.
Clearly, it’s all emotion, and all adrenaline. NOT the best basis for making decisions.
Were the early Beatles hits THAT good? Were they? Hardly. In fact, most couldn’t hear them play because of the noise of the girls screaming. And Paul and John both said that they played awful then, but no one noticed.
I have a theory about why the world is so screwed up.
It goes something like this:
It’s axiomatic that chics make bad decisions. Period. Look at their clothes. Look at what they do to be ‘fashionable’. Look how they follow magazines to the letter. Now look at guys. Guys are stupid. Guys do whatever chics want them to do. Because guys want something and they know they must follow what the chics want from them to get it. Be it hairstyle, clothing style, musical taste, occupation, car, house, etc. etc. etc.
So guys are stupid and continue to do this and pander to the whims and bad decisions of chics. So, like the butterfly’s wings, this practice is repeated and repeated every second in the world, expanding and expanding until finally the effect of it is a screwed up world, filled to the brim w/ bad decisions, bad art, bad music, bad fashion, bad everything. A bad taste world.
The lesson is: Don’t pander. Don’t change to please another. It doesn’t work. And don’t follow chics’ advice. Especially not in politics.
It’s a little frightening for me to see that the people angriest about the likelihood about either Obama or Hillary in the White house are the same people who would likely advocate the right to bear arms. Angry people with guns… and we’re supposed to be concerned about “shallow-minded liberal commies”? No no, they’re right, we should remove all government hindrances to our freedoms, I’ve always wanted to see what Lower Manhattan would look like during anarchy.
It’s not just black or white, folks. And I mean that both figuratively and literally. Liberals, conservatives, Obama, McCain, Hillary, Nixon, JFK… they all have or had their shortcomings and their strong points. Let’s settle down and stop sabre-rattling here.
This is an important time for our country, so yelling and screaming about your stance won’t allow to make a calm, considerate decision about what direction you want our country to go in. So I’ll say it again… settle down.
I believe these are staged, fake faintings, part of a smear campaign by the clinton machine. They are following up on their rumor circulated earlier that people are following Obama like he is a cult. Now the clintons have people fainting. Next they will be shaving their heads and beating tamborines. clintons cannot be trusted.
Wake Up. Barack Obama is very dangerous, a wolf in sheep’s clothing, and not what he seems. He is so unknown he stands a real chance of fooling a majority of American voters and getting elected. Now that he has a real chance of winning people need to wake up and take the time to learn what the most left leaning senator in the nation really believes and what he has planned for us. This guy is a big government is the way, the individual is secondary, praise the community, hardened socialist.
If you’re interested in learning about his abysmal ignorance of our constitution, you need to read this interview from the Boston Globe.
Veronica, if you are going to call people ridiculous and naive at least use spell check. Your comment about the soldiers didn’t have a choice is ridiculous. The first few years of the war you may have had a small chance to defend your ridiculous point about no choice for the soldier. It has been 6 years since and the current enlisted soldiers want to be there to protect your sorry rear end, because there is no excuse of knowing the situation. I do not mean to belittle anyone’s life but thousands of lives of soldiers is not a catastrophe when compared to the for example the 6 week Battle of the Bulge during WWII. Also look up on government sites to see the stats of the soldier casualties per year during the glorious Clinton years. They are in fact higher than Bush’s years. Have we forgotten about Bosnia and why we were and still are there. People still have to stand and wait in hot auditoriums for McCain and nobody is fainting. Good grief I can’t believe I am responding to your closed misguided mind.
If correctly reported, these several faintings reproduce a phenomen seen in America ages ago during religious revivals & frontier campaigns. Nothing fake or staged. It’s the intensity of excitement generated by mass enthusiasm. Question is, how solid is this enthusiasm?
Just for the record, cuz everyone who’s against this guy keeps brining up the old race issue. Can everyone remember that his mother is white, which makes him half white-half black. So any idea he might be some kind of racist, anti-white kinda guy are kinda ridiculuous. He’d have to really hate himself. So probably not a racist there folks. Sorry to disappoint those of you still digging for something to hate about this guy. And for those with the whole Muslim thing….he lived in Jakarta from age 6 to 10….four years there, not ten like some are saying…and he wasn’t a practicing muslim, his family weren’t that religious. And his name, he’s a junior!!! His father had the same name. For those fond of highlighting his middle name. Do you like your name? Did you get to choose it? I’m guessing you parents did. His father left him and his mom hen he was 2 and died like twenty years ago.
“As a child, Obama spent four years in Indonesia with his step-father, a non-practicing Muslim, and his mother. Between ages 6 and 8, Obama attended a local Muslim school in Jakarta; after that, he was enrolled in a Roman Catholic school. In his book Dreams Of My Father (p.142), Obama writes:
In Indonesia, I’d spent 2 years at a Muslim school, 2 years at a Catholic school. In the Muslim school, the teacher wrote to tell mother I made faces during Koranic studies. In the Catholic school, when it came time to pray, I’d pretend to close my eyes, then peek around the room. Nothing happened. No angels descended.”
Now can we get back to the facts? Like all the legistalation he did sponsor and co-sponsor, which range from Education issues to healthcare to Iraq.
Just who are these idiots fainting, crying, and swooning over this guy? Good grief, he gives a good speech if you’re into black church oratory, but come on, he’s not SAYING ANYTHING. Does it take so little to “inspire” Obama supporters? Obviously most blacks gravitate to him just because he’s black, but how about you other people? I’ve seen articles talking about Obama in “messianic” terms…as a cult…etc. This guy is pretty scary…and if you actually find out what he believes in, he’s downright evil.
I’m thinking anti-christ.
Hussein Obama is a media fake. The media in this country is trying to portray him as a God. They did the same with Billy Boy and what did we get? Corruption, sell out to the ChiCom, fake Missile attacks to get Monica’s name off the front page, impeached president and much more.
Wake up folks this Hussein Obama guy is a phony snake oil salesman. He is dangerous. He has proposed selling out the US to the UN. The same UN that sends their representatives around the world to rape the women in various countries. To steal from the food programs and many other things. Here is another one of Hussein Obama’s ideas. Look it up.
I remember having to stand at attention for what seemed like hours in the military for parade reviews and the such…it was not uncommon for people to faint. And these military people were pro-American vs many of Obama’s hate America supporters. So it has nothing to do with emotion or charisma.
Democrats tend to me more emotional and quite easily led by a charismatic leader and would seem to be more apt to faint…but I’m not sure that it’s not just simply large crowd phenominon.
I have never read such a ridiculos story or such maive comments. It’s true some people will believe anything. If Obama is what this article calls him, what does that make McCain? He cares nothing about the thousands of soldiers that we are losing in Iraq, and they certainly had NO CHOICE, they were following orders to be there.
1 person fainted at rally here and there for him and for Hillary. You have thousands of people standing around for hours, it happens. I’ve been to an Obama rally, and they are a lot of fun. There is music and people cheer him on when he speaks–what’s wrong with that.
It doesnt happen at McCain events because, well what’s so exciting about him? Honestly? They never even show the crowds on tv because there are very few.
I’m sorry your rallys and candidates are so un-inspiring and boring. It really is a lot of fun.
(And dont start your barrge of replies saying its all talk and not action, or whatever. The man is very intelligent and capable or leading this country. Maybe its time for a candidate not so “programmed” by years and years in Washingon, one that owes nothing to anyone there, especially the lobbyists. Plus that argument is getting very tired and generic.
By “change”, swooning Obama supporters must mean Zbigniew Brzenzski, Jimmy Carter’s national security adviser, and an immigrant with long-standing anti-Russian obsessions who arguably gave us the Ayatollahs, the Taliban and most certainly, the Trilateral Commission. Brzenzski is in the thick of the Obama campaign, and there is very little chance that he will not be setting Obama’s foreign policy agenda should Obama be elected to the presidency. Change is not in the cards when the establishment is dealing from the bottom of the deck. The people only get the jokers.
They need this dog and pony show of emotion, vapid and empty speeches that say nothing relevant to any REAL issues and other political parlor tricks to hide who he really is. This can also be applied to the McCain run as well. The upper echelon of the GOP are just as guilty of doing this to their base. The difference is, that the mainstream media LOVES Obama. They pretty much ignore McCain for the most part unless there is any negative news to run. Also, let me make this very clear, I am not supporting any of these clowns on either side of the isle. It is my understanding that I should vote for those who represent me best. Well, NOT ONE of them do. Have a nice day and remember to VOTE AMERICAN!
Joe,
You’re not inclined to see the truth behind the Nazi rise to power for whatever reason. I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt that you’re educated although you do not know the difference between Populous and Populace. Also, I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt that you are Jewish too. Having stated that, I suggest you review your history lessons of the rise of the Nazi Party in Germany.
First, the post-war economy was in a shambles and the German people were looking for a scapegoat (sound familiar to you people who want to demagogue the rich?). Hitler did the same thing with Jews, and namely their “control of the economy and other evils.” This took years to build up to the point where Germans had placed all their faith in Hitler, as their leader, to the point that he had no problem killing his opposition in 1932. The people were starstruck with Hitler, much as these fainters and mind-numb followers of the rich-vs-poor demagogues. Just like you’re so offended by my statement of truth, so many Americans are offended by people who have achieved. Enter, Obama, their savior. How else can you explain this wave of fainting spells? Now is Obama going to kill you and your co-religionists? I would not expect that. However, if our country is reduced to nothing but fainters in the presence of the latest savior, it’s only a matter of time before we find our own scapegoats. Like me, you should be very scared indeed.
I suggest you stop being so easily offended and allow yourself to learn the truth.
KJM   February 17th, 2008 - 10:26 pm
Just imagine how many more people are going to faint once they see Obama’s tax plan – increases on income taxes, increases on investment income, increases on death taxes………..once he is done, we won’t be able to afford the air we need to breathe!
Farmer Bob   February 17th, 2008 - 10:49 pm
Oh Myron, no more than 42 per cent of the German electorate ever voted for Hitler in a free election, about the same plurality as Bill Clinton used to get. (Who knows what Bush gets.) Hitler was appointed chancellor by President von Hindenburg. This fact is more than a bit at variance with your statement that the “Germans had placed all their faith in Hitler, as their leader. . .” Also, Hitler did not “kill” his opposition “in 1932.”
And Joe, you stated that the Nazis attempted to come to power before WWI. There was no Nazi Party pre-WWI.
I do wish people would leave the misrepresentation of history to the professionals, our education establishment. That’s what they’re paid to do, and they do it so much better.
Farmer Bob   February 17th, 2008 - 11:14 pm
David said: “Can everyone remember that his mother is white, which makes him half white-half black. So any idea he might be some kind of racist, anti-white kinda guy are kinda ridiculuous. He’d have to really hate himself. So probably not a racist there folks. . .”
Actually, it seems like the half-and-halfs are where we get are worst racists from. Remember Frank Collin, the one-time head of the American Nazi Party? He was half Jewish. “Hangman Heydrich,” the man who chaired the Wannsee conference for Hitler? One-quarter Jewish. Malcom X, the red-haired black race-baiter? Well, that red hair speaks for itself, doesn’t it? He used to say he hated it.
twinstick   February 17th, 2008 - 11:15 pm
What a bunch of horsehockey. Democrats deserve this bunch, but do we?
myron   February 17th, 2008 - 11:32 pm
To whom did you address your second point… someone named Joe? I thought you were Joe. Assuming you were just confused, you may have been addressing me and my comment on post war economy being in a shambles (Where do you read pre-WWI?). You should read more carefully. And that time frame would be in the 1920s when Hitler was rousing the rabble in Bavaria. So I stand by my point notwithstanding your confusion or misreading of fact. On that note, why do you think only teachers can explain (or in your words “misrepresent”) history? Are you a teacher?
Regarding, Hitler killing his opposition, go look up any history book and see that Hitler blamed the burning of the Reichstag on his political adversaries, who were summarily tried and killed Nazi style. He soon declared himself dictator and brought his National Socialist Party into total power. Von Hindenburg was three heart beats away from death at this point and his blessing was all Hitler needed to legitimize his cult of personality as the President of the people (once again parallels to Obama-nation). Modeled on Russian collectivism, the fascist socialism of the Nazi Party solidified its power with state run and leveraged enterprises. All the while, Hitler continued to demagogue production for the “good of the state,” to build up his war machine.
Who on this board said that the Nazis ever had a majority? Not me. However, that fact merely supports my point. As such, Hitler didn’t have a majority, but he had the fainters, and passionate supporters (a’la todays Democrat Party), and like Germany in 1930 and 1932, the opposition is dispirited and do not care about their candidate (a’la today’s Republicans).
I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt (yet again) that you are educated. However, education is just one side of the proverbial coin. As such, an educated person must understand how facts are applicable to present day (similar) situations to be considered wise.
So (once again) I suggest you go back and read up on facts before you declare yourself educated. I will not return to this board again, as this is a waste of my time. Shalom!
myron   February 17th, 2008 - 11:36 pm
One more thing before I do you the favor of going away for good.
I was told many years ago by a wise man, my grandfather, to be very suspicious of a “man” (person) who claims to be educated. At the very least there is some feeling of inferiority from such a person about his education. Even more annoying for the rest of us with just two Masters degrees or less, is that the one who claims to be educated is an attempt to treat it as a cudgel with with to intimidate others.
I have learned that the more “educated” a person, the less wise he/she is.
Osama is not the Anti-Christ he maybe a part of the One World Govt that is coming, Osama if he wins and he may will sell the US out to the UN and I think based on beliefs that Osama will have America turn their back on Israel, and he will side with the UN and you should know the UN is against Israel. I would remind you that China is hungry for power and oil, Russia also so they are lining up to be allies against Israel, its all biblical and falling into place. I know some of you will make fun of this and say jokes ok? but some of you will listen and be saved so its worth the post. I hope and pray for this country and I have seen it go down for the 30 yrs period, morals, marriages, familys torn apart, more evil in the world than ever before, its a fact and if anyone bothered to read the bible they would see these things to come and some things that have past. One World, One Religion, cashless society, is all taking shape as we speak.
ghost hunter said it best: vote none of the above.
they’re all the exact same empty-shell preaching the exact same crap and will end up doing the exact same things in office.
none of them can do anything about the economy because they don’t have the power, they’re not going to put nationally-universal health care into place because they don’t have the power, and they’re not going to immediately pull our troops out of the middle east because it takes slightly more time than pulling a trigger.
the only “change” will come as a result of significant support for a third party candidate (30% of the total-vote plus). why do people still believe they can only choose between John Davidson and David Johnson??????????
“It doesnt happen at McCain events because, well what’s so exciting about him? Honestly? They never even show the crowds on tv because there are very few.” by Veronica.
Veronica, the reason is that McCain isn’t a black, anti-war anarchist that despises our sitting President and our country like all of the extreme left-wing liberals which mostly comprises all of those who go to these events.
p.s. The reason you don’t see much on t.v. of McCain is because the mainstream media are on the left, in case you didn’t know yet.
Obama is the most likely canidate for the antichrist that I have seen in my fifty years. His followers worship him, his metoric rise to power, behind his eyes I see real malice. Watch out the world is ripe and ready for a false saviour. This man is very dangerous, God help us.
bobc   February 18th, 2008 - 12:39 am
I attend concerts & sporting events on a regular basis. I’ve seen many people drunk, but i have yet to see anyone faint. this is an old parlor trick used by gossipal preachers for decades. those of you who buy into it, I have a bridge in brooklyn I can sell you.
I watched a fainting incident at the Seattle rally and was suspicious. It seemed odd and too close to stage, a chance for Obama to ask everyone to part the waters. So to see that there have been six incidents, all close to the stage, mind you, I have to wonder. Goodness.
This is really strange. Get these women to come forward somebody and tell me this is legit.
Paula J   February 18th, 2008 - 2:37 am
The Clintons were idolized & defended by people who knew they were crooks, but I think the Obama hype is so strong, I doubt anyone is faking fainting. He needs to step up & warn his followers against idolatry. Humility is hard enough to retain without elevating a human to godhood. They are really doing him a disservice by allowing themselves to be so emotionally involved with someone they don’t and most likely never will know personally.
Obama is not the antichrist. The antichrist will not be married and in every way will try to make himself in the image of Jesus, but his power won’t come from God. The antichrist will come out of Damascus, Syria & will be from the lineage of Alexander the Great.
“I have learned that the more “educated” a person, the less wise he/she is.” — Myron
Well, Myron, that seems to square pretty well with your claim to have two Masters degrees, but then you did hint you might have “less.” A misstatement of fact is as good as a lie. They’re not that hard to check, but only if you want to know the truth.
“Even more annoying for the rest of us with just two Masters degrees or less, is that the one who claims to be educated is an attempt to treat it as a cudgel with with to intimidate others.” — Myron
Megan   February 18th, 2008 - 3:28 am
I went to a rally in Madison. I was on the floor, and it was very hot and very tight down there. I’d been standing for four hours waiting in line and then waiting on the floor. I had ONE bottle of water that cost me $3 (stadium costs), so I was pretty thirsty. I could totally see how some people would faint under those circumstances.
Leo   February 18th, 2008 - 4:36 am
There are 2 possibilities, both bad for Obama: first is that he’s planting those fainting women in the crowd. The second is that he’s some sort of an African witch doctor who hypnotizes his audience and makes them go crazy like some faith healer. We don’t need a prez like that!
andy   February 18th, 2008 - 5:18 am
Obama the empty vessel-allows 90% of blacks to vote for him (they arent being a tad racist ya think) and allows young white urban males to vote for him (trying a bit too hard to prove they arent racist makes you wonder eh). all thats left is for liberal women to see if they can get beyond their own sexism (which led them to vote for Hillary in droves) and pour their support into Obama. All this happening and the man has said NOTHING of substance. Snake oil indeed.
Sue   February 18th, 2008 - 8:24 am
People faint or get nauseous when it FINALLY dawns on them that he wants to take their hard-earned money and give it to people who don’t deserve it. It’s amazing entire audiences don’t faint listening to Hillary.
Lou   February 18th, 2008 - 9:05 am
We should find those fainting women and ask them under subpoena whether they were asked by Obama to faint or not. See what they say.
Megan   February 18th, 2008 - 10:41 am
You guys are Hillaryous. Obama doesn’t plant people in the audience to faint. Why would anyone do that? It’s too easy for you freaks to make fun of it. Those people are just hot and tired from waiting to get into the rally for five hours, like I did. You can’t bring in bags, so people can’t carry much water with them. Stop being children. People faint at big events ALL THE TIME. Get out of the house more, you might learn something.
Night Judge   February 18th, 2008 - 10:49 am
These are a bunch of cooks. Staged to get attention. Unless is politics smells so sick and liberal its makeing people drop out. He never says anything because he knows nothing.
Mike   February 18th, 2008 - 10:52 am
I actually fainted just watching the video at home. You are right, some people have fainted at Clinton rallys as well. So is it safe to say that people only faint at Democratic rallys? What a bunch of dorks! I have listened to several Obama speeches now and the man says nothing. He is in inexperienced socialist who thinks the Federal Government is the answer for all of our ills. The Government has successfully made its citizens depend on them for everything!!!
Swoonaholic's Anonymus   February 18th, 2008 - 10:52 am
ALL of you that follow either option on the Democrat side, should be ashamed of yourselves, you are being duped, divided, bought…told to hope for Change and this is an attraction?-Only a weak, ignorant, dependant, useless dope of a person could follow, swoon, believe, embrace a couple of donkeys…hee hee HAW!!! The same old retoric/pandering to a bunch of DONKEYS.
What have we done? Answer: We have dummed our society down, we are made to believe we are owed some thing, other than freedom and the pursuit of happiness. What a Joke America has become. “The American People are so easily misled,duped,divided,bought…and sold out. It is truely pathetic,”
Why do you think the authoritarians wanted universal suffrage and the vote at 18 instead of 21?
The Founding Fathers had it right, only land-owning White males should vote.
Jay   February 18th, 2008 - 2:17 pm
I am deeply inspired by Obama and/or Hillary, so much so that I have made life altering decisions and plan to vote for whichever candidate gains the Democratic nomination. I used to consider myself a republican, but the message of hope and “free” money through the socialism endorsed by these candidates and supported by the hoards of ignorant/naive constituents have compelled me to cease my college education and career goals and enter the public sector as a taxpayer subsidized citizen. With history as my guide, I have seen socialism rise and fail miserably throughout the past, but its inability to be kept down and its resurgence throughout Europe and Canada dictates its eventual installation in this country. I have decided to adhere to the old “if you can’t beat them, join them” addage, and join the revolution that will inexorably leave this country in ruins. Instead of working hard and letting the Government in its infinite wisdom decide where my hard-earned money will be best spent, I will just wait for the moneytrain to bring me the fruits of others labor. I suspect that others may follow my lead at some point in the future, diminishing the pool of money from which the Government can draw its funds, but for now I will bask in the spoils of this ignorant folly until the well runs dry. How great it is to be an American, long live the blissfully ignorant, easily inspired, short-term memory challenged, and long live Democratic party!
He keeps saying she’s going to be Ok. How does he know that? In a situation like that the person could be fainting, or they could be having a heart attack. Yet he seems so sure that everything is fine. He sounds pretty cavalier when he isn’t even close enough to know what is really happening medically.
Zhoc   February 18th, 2008 - 4:52 pm
I will vote for Obama…
I want change. I want hope. and Obama is hope for change. Hillary and the Reps are just so in the past, like yesterday and that is not change. Obama is the future because he wants change.
I didn’t think anything of this until I saw the pattern and regularity of the “routine.” Even to the point of props with Obama handing out water. It looks staged to me.
The next coming...is he here?   February 18th, 2008 - 6:37 pm
Dip sh!ts will line up around the country for their “so-called” 15 Minutes of fame. People have no shame,epecially the weak. What a useless group of liberal lap dogs. Stay Tuned to see who will be your next American Id… or President. What a joke the process has become as well as America has become. I take no pride in saying that.If you faint at a rally or where ever, you’ve probally been standing in one spot to long you dope, it has not a thing to do with the message or the messenger, even in these cases with your messiah.
Swoonster's   February 18th, 2008 - 7:05 pm
The American People are so easily misled,duped,divided,bought…and sold out. It is truely pathetic, we the people are a group of derelict’s, that do not deserve the freedoms that we take advantage of. You have never seen a conservative woman faint, there’s a reason, they are neather fakes or pussys I am prouc of my fellow conservativs on this board, they dont fall for this fake s@@t and they are smart unlike the libs who will fall for anything, thy can’t even stand for their candidate how can they stand for anything!!
You want to know is is best? Just read the comments on this board, the conservatives are analictical and smart, the libs are dumb and stupid, nuff said.
Steven W.   February 18th, 2008 - 11:33 pm
The statistics are such that it’s almost a certainty that the Obamafraud show is an entire hoax – otherwise the whole field of statistics will have been set back for generations.
Patti O'Riley   February 18th, 2008 - 11:41 pm
It is interesting that Obama’s growing legions of followers increasingly see him as a messianic figure. With a smooth tongue and soothing aura, he is already loved by Europe and much of the rest of the world. His worldwide following is eager to install him as the next President of the United States of America — by far and away and the most powerful position on earth.
The antichrist is to come as a world leader, loved the world over, a powerful orator with an irresistible aura. He will be seen as a savior and a messiah to his followers.
How does a man with no record of accomplishment become the leading candidate for the Presidency of the United States – the most powerful position on earth? He has no discernable skills other than his ability to make powerful speeches in which he makes irresistible promises to his followers. How can a man born into the religion of evil convince a Christian nation he is now one of them? How does a man with a silver tongue become a worldwide phenomenon over night? Without a shred of accomplishment and by the shear force his words alone, his follows the world over are ready to install him as the leader of the world. Interesting.
Obama is FOOLING voters with his fainting spells. Pass this on. Especially to the voters in the Southwest. People out here aren’t politically-inclined as much and they will buy this foolish man’s rhetoric.
This is BS.
Didn’t Bubba faint at a Martin Luther King Jr. service. Well, it was close to fainting.
James   February 19th, 2008 - 8:46 am
I don’t think the fainting is staged. Obama REALLY excites people! Look at the men wiping away tears at his rallies. The women look almost worshipful, entreating, sobbing. There are films of exactly the same thing at HITLER rallies! I too am moved by what he says, and I’m certain it’s a result of the frustration and shame caring people have felt during the years of the Bush atrocities. BUT, it’s all an illusion! If you look at Obama’s foreign policy and economic advisers you will see a group as fanatical and callous as the neocons. Obama is the only candidate who has promised to bomb Pakistan, a nuclear country, if it doesn’t bow to his will. He’s a fascist in sheep’s clothing, and he is providing the next step in the transformation of our country into a fascist dictatorship: a totalitarian youth movement. Bush has destroyed the Constitution and concentrated all power in the Executive Branch. Obama is now poised to harness that power with his immense popularity and magnetism, as Hitler and Mussolini did. He represents not hope, but the BETRAYAL of hope, of his country and the American people.
Sarah   February 19th, 2008 - 1:47 pm
Go Obama! He cares so much, see how he gave his water to the people! This is not staged! Those are real rallies! His speeches are so good that people faint over them! Plus, they will get over heated at these places! People post bad things just because they don’t want Obama to president! He cares so much! Does that look like a fake crowd??? No! Understand that, and support Obama!!!
-Sarah, and Obama supporter!
Farmer Nellie   February 19th, 2008 - 8:25 pm
LOL Oh my….this is the funniest video I have watched in awhile. What a weirdo….I mean, c’mon….each person that fainted is right in view of Obama and he just happens to see it?!?! LOL And he has water for them? “Hey, do we have anyone that can help – get them a seat – lay her down….oh- she’ll be alright!” LOLOLOL “Need some water?” LOLOLOLOL I can’t take it! I am laughing so hard~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Farmer Bob   February 20th, 2008 - 1:56 am
“Go Obama! He cares so much, see how he gave his water to the people!” — Sarah, and Oba-a-a-ma supporter
What a guy! Now let’s see him walk on it.
jeff in ohio   February 21st, 2008 - 10:10 am
These people aren’t fainting because of Obama-mania, but because with prolonged standing, such as one might do at a crowded political rally, blood is pooling in their legs, leading to an exaggerated nerve response called vasovagal syncope. I am a medical student in training to be a pediatric cardiologist. I was 10 feet from a woman who fainted at an Obama event in Youngstown this week, and I can tell you she was not reacting to overwhelming love for the candidate but to simple physiology.
Farmer Bob   February 21st, 2008 - 7:40 pm
So how many men have fainted?
Jessi   June 8th, 2008 - 7:27 pm
Haha… Obama needs his own medical crew that follows him around im case people faint. Obama at least cares.
