So – WCBS-TV headlines a biased “news” report about police officers going to Hooters. The “News Reader” (This guy probably can’t chew gum and climb stairs, yet calls himself a “reporter”) does point out… as a kind of, “yea, but..” disclaimer that the officers were off-duty. How about if all off-duty officers went to, say, Wal-Mart? How about Denny’s? Sorry CBS – you guys are the ones trying to turn a staffing issue into a dereliction of duty news piece with brests.

…excuse me… that’s breasts.

Sorry Capt. Bill, even if they went to the 7-11 it should still read, “Police Trip To Leaves N.Y. Town Copless.”

The issue is not WHERE the off-duty officers went. I mean, who the heck cares what officers do on their own time? The issue is WHY did the police chief feel that it was ok to write a schedule where the town had no police coverage for that evening. At least 2 officers should have been on-duty.

OK, Skeeter, but why the hell bring up where the off duty cops were anyway? (to make the “story” sound interesting) Woah! You mean cops like to go to hooters?? Wow! (Look at the woman they interviewed in the town, and then the girls in the hooters window, I know where I’d rather be also!)

This is another case of paparazzi running rampant. How the chief does the scheduling there is not newsworthy. The more that dumbass story went on, the lamer it seemed, it is quite obvious they are trying to make something out of nothing. Only thing missing is a stupid donought reference.

Y’know, I’m really pretty certain the main focus of this story is that the cops left a town completely and utterly unprotected for a day.

The fact that they did so and then went to go eat chicken wings while ogling women, well, that’s just a bonus.
