Watch your language Bobo! Go to your room!

Because of your little outburst, I will not allow you to sleep with your sister tonight.

Tony Darbo   February 10th, 2008 - 4:19 pm

His son killed a sick dog, hes cooking up squirrels….I think would be serial killers when I hear this…..

SoCal Patriot   February 10th, 2008 - 4:39 pm

“What is the big deal? Squirrel was a staple of pioneer folk. Squirrel hunting is apple pie americana. You ain’t lived till you ate a nice mess of tree rats. They are good in a Brunswick stew also…”

Most city folk never ate rabbit either, yummy.

Good for Gov. Huckabee!

He ate the animals he hunted and killed. Not a thing wrong with that.

I’m liking this guy more and more the more I hear him. Too bad McCave is going to be our candidate.

Scott K   February 10th, 2008 - 6:51 pm

No John…..Believing the earth is 6000 years old is not a southern tradition, it’s the word of God. You can follow scientists if you please I’ll trust God. no scientist will ever give their life for yours.
And when it’s all said and done… where will you be in eternity. There is a Heaven to gain, and a Hell to shun. But I guess that’s just crazy talk right? fanatical right? The Bible is real, and it is truth.
He, Jesus was truth in the flesh, or the word in the flesh. And if the word teaches that it’s 6000 years old, you better believe that it is. Man’s not as smart as he’d like to think. Your building your life on the weak foundation of humanism.
Wake up!

Bobo   February 10th, 2008 - 7:04 pm

Shut up. You’re not my Mom. My mom has class. You’re an idiot.

Rover   February 10th, 2008 - 7:39 pm

No big deal…

Some people hunt fish and fry them up and eat them and some people hunt squirrels and fry them up and eat them. He explained well about the popcorn popper turned fryer thing…

I am sure McCain has far better critter eating stories than this :D

You will never hear Huck saying anything bad about Chelsea either. – Throwing rocks in glass houses there…

Tommy Joe Blakesly   February 10th, 2008 - 9:16 pm

I guess you can’t expect more from a preacher with high falutin pretensions. He should be embarrassed he cooked the varmit not “admit” it. Only way to eat them tree rats is to chomp off their head an begin a-gnawin. Unless you’re a lady, a nancy boy or a pretender.

Bubba   February 10th, 2008 - 10:43 pm

People say I’m no good
crazy as a loon
’cause I get stoned in the morning
get drunk in the afternoon.

Kinda like my old blue tick hound
like to lay around in the shade
and I ain’t got no money
but I damned sure got it made.

’cause I ain’t askin’ nobody for nothing
if I can’t get it on my own.
If you don’t like the way I’m livin’
you just leave this long-haired country boy alone.

John   February 10th, 2008 - 11:38 pm

“Fried squirrel is a southern delicacy”.

And fighting dogs is a southern tradition, and believing the earth is 6,000 years old is a southern tradition. Luckily, it looks as if the southerner isn’t going to be the Republican nominee.

Bobo   February 10th, 2008 - 11:54 pm

Shut up John. Cooking squirrel is no different than shooting a duck or a deer, and cooking it up for dinner.

Dogfighting is another matter altogether, and if you can’t see the difference, get back under your rock, because you’re a waste of flesh.

Jack   February 11th, 2008 - 12:27 am

What you have never seen “Ol’ Yellow”.
The dog was sick you moron.
What him to take it to the vet to pay $$$$ when a .20 cents would do to the same.

Squirrel is better in picante sauce.

dee   February 11th, 2008 - 12:32 am

Love him or hate him, he seems to be the only normal person in the race. I’m sure for a couple of the posters here normal would be more like wearing moms underware and wishing you where a fairy princess. A vote for hrc or obama is a vote for socialism.

Bobo   February 11th, 2008 - 2:59 am

Tony Darbo, you’re a clueless idiot.

shooter   February 11th, 2008 - 3:27 am

Since when has it become a sin to eat squirrel?

eezywriter   February 11th, 2008 - 3:42 am

Can you say “Adios”? Huckabee is g-o-n-e!

tony darbo   February 11th, 2008 - 4:31 am

I dont mind huck should the time come to vote for him..but the squirrel at college is creeping me out. and yeah the dog was sick..so call a vet or humane society to handle it, not kill it yourself.

brolin_1911a1   February 11th, 2008 - 8:36 am

Amazing that the person calling others “small-minded retards” is the one too small-minded to consider a food she hasn’t tried. Squirrel season runs about ten months of the year and squirrel hunting is a great excuse to sit in the woods watching the sun come up and the world come alive. As for eating squirrel, there’s nothing tastier than squirrel fried in butter with mushrooms and served with mashed potatos and corn.

RPgirl   February 11th, 2008 - 11:30 am

If you grew up on a farm, you’d know there is nothing wrong with killing a squirrel or rabbit to make a meal, especially when you need the protein and your parents can’t afford the butcher’s cost of meat for the family. And, if you’ve never tasted squirrel or rabbit stew, you don’t know what you’ve missed. I also feel sorry for those of you who otherwise hold up nonjudgmentalism as a badge of virtue but think nothing of bashing Huckabee over this insignificant issue. And, I’m not a fan of Huckabee or any of the frontrunners!

Fritz Gibbons   February 11th, 2008 - 11:50 am

I love reading the comments on this story – so many small-minded, uneducated people, all congregating to bash a man for something he’s done that, for all intents and purposes, is a regional thing. You wouldn’t find someone in college in Boston or New York eating squirrel, but you probably wouldn’t find someone in Arkansas central jumping into the ocean in February (Polar Bear Club). Hick? Retard? Serial killers? What f-’n morons you are…..maybe the problem is with YOU!?

aunt jerica   February 11th, 2008 - 12:36 pm

so many small-minded retards on this site..
thank allah this fuken hick won’t be president

Tony Darbo   February 11th, 2008 - 2:40 pm

Keep America Safe: Fry an islamic terrorist in a popcorn poppper! Save the squirrels!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tony Darbo   February 11th, 2008 - 10:35 pm

hey Frizty. jumping in the ocean and eating squirrel from a popcorn popper are 2 entirely different things…

mark   February 12th, 2008 - 3:46 am

It’s a lot of work skinning and deboning squirrel or I’m sure it would be a lot more popular.
