"It's not something about Fox. I don't have a horse in this race. And for you to suggest such a thing is both inaccurate and insulting."

Good for you shep! libs are so afraid of fox for not sucking up to them. She stuck her foot in her mouth and what libs do is she blamed someone else. GUTLESS! Even a harvard study showed that the media has a huge lib bent and fox actully got high marks for fairness! HARVARD=lib. come on!

Faux News   February 6th, 2008 - 8:04 pm

Lol, yeah. Whatever. Just like Faux News. Shout down the other side.

Usaq Madik   February 6th, 2008 - 9:33 pm

lol She got pwned. Like libs always do when they come up against rational thought.

mouthbreather   February 6th, 2008 - 9:53 pm

somebody got caught doin’a “drive by”

nice catch shep!

don   February 7th, 2008 - 12:58 am

I think Wolfe Blitzer seems more gay than Smith.

john   February 7th, 2008 - 1:43 am

Shep is definitely an alien. Look at the eyes on that mofo. Someone should ask him about those UFO sightings in Texas. They are probably second cousins. This freak was obviously melting down because his bra was too tight.

Hate to see that in a young alien freak.

dee   February 7th, 2008 - 3:53 am

Naomi wolf is a COWARD and nothing more than a faux journalist. A condescending lefty without the capacity for critical thought. You live up to your expectations.

SKD   February 7th, 2008 - 5:16 am

Yeah, don’t really care about Fox News, but she is pretty smug. She needs to have somebody tell her off better than that, though.

Viewer   February 7th, 2008 - 6:54 am

I could care less Shep’s sexual oreintation. He didn’t allow her cliche’s and her “fight or flight” kicked in and from the sound of her voice- her’s wanted to run and hide.. hee hee Shep mopped the floor with her. Now she’ll cry and say she doesn’t want to be on there anymore because they were mean to her and hurt her feelings. I sense a change coming on in this country and it’s time for us true conservatives (not mccain supporters) to give the dems hillary for pres. and rock her world in two years with a republican congress- or elect Ron Paul. On another note, start investigating things folks- checkout prisionplanet.tv and infowars. com

Roberta   February 7th, 2008 - 6:56 am

Sheppie is absolutely right. I can’t believe anyone would be so biased as to attack him and claim he did anything wrong.

goprfeggits   February 7th, 2008 - 7:08 am

only sheep need a Shepard

ladyluck   February 7th, 2008 - 7:51 am

Good for you, Shep! I hate when the liberal media just ignores the kind of insults that Naomi just threw out against Fox News. She insults Fox and then acts aggreived that Shep Smith took her to task for “her” insults! Wow, the lady is certainly ignorant and cowardly.

susan   February 7th, 2008 - 7:53 am

Thank goodness for someone like Shep!! I am really getting sick and tired of the libs wanting to go on and on about “the babies” in Iraq. All of those “babies” joined the service. They were not drafted. There is a huge difference between joining and being drafted. Just ask any Vietnam vet! Those guys did not have a say in it and were treated very badly upon their return. These young men joining today are joining knowing that they will more than likely end up in Iraq and returning to stand ovations at airports. Vietnam soldiers returned to spitting and protests. It is time for someone to stand up for the fact that these men are going willingly. I feel Shep got his point across without having to say it.

As far as him being gay — please!!! By the looks of the women he has been seen with, I do not think he can be called gay. Unless you know for a fact, I do not feel that that stone should be thrown. The women of ‘Ole Miss where he attended college will say otherwise!!

Geraldo O'Reilly   February 7th, 2008 - 7:56 am

WTG!!! Shep !!! Make them back what they spew.

Glenn Friedman   February 7th, 2008 - 8:13 am

Can’t everyone see how gay he is?

libsukbad   February 7th, 2008 - 9:47 am

That was excellent, way to call out the libtard beeotch, Shep. Libtards have been so used to the kid glove treatment that they don’t know how to handle a good backhand from that glove. It’s funny how these lib posters here PREDICTABLY go for personal attacks (like they always do) when confronted with facts about their fallacy and irrelevance. Some libtards like to mention CNN’s recent rise in ratings in some time slots, yeah, you mean only when Glenn Beck or Lou Dobbs are on. Ole Teddy boy must cringe every time they come on, but as a businessman, he knows they must if he still wants that network on the air.

hagfan   February 7th, 2008 - 10:40 am

Way to go, Shep! Finally the REAL media stands for something. I was very proud of the way Shep stood up to the left wingers. Drag them out into the light of day, Shep! Make them answer for their sneers!

Durwood   February 7th, 2008 - 12:38 pm

Take a look at the comments AGAINST Shepard Smith. It is the same name calling, attack-the-facts mentality that today’s liberals have. I have NEVER lost a debate to a liberal, as I have never found one that has a grasp of the facts. They do call me pretty good names, though.
The BOTTOM line is that Naomi, once again, put her foot in her mouth and Shep caught her. Since liberals lives revolve around ethical and moral relativism – she turned her gaff around on the tried and true liberal method of bashing the source. Libs don’t want to appear on debates on Fox News (and constantly bash it) because they are used to 50 years of coddling by their friends in the press.
Over the last decade, I have lost all respect for Liberals and/or Democrats. They ALL operate just like this idiot and this is just not very American. Since most liberals hate America, this probably suits them just fine.
Hey, Naomi, brush your teeth and get a conscience.

evilsinz   February 7th, 2008 - 12:55 pm

“this is why i love fox news” and cleared it up to mean every little thing gets debated by Fox. All of you conservatives love anybody that is violently angry towards liberals. All he did was prove his insane loyalty and commitment to Fox.

Bill Smith   February 7th, 2008 - 1:36 pm

Loved it, and didn’t have to hold my nose!

Also, have you noticed the dems’ latest device? Inventing people, as in “Conservative women coming up to [them]” and saying a talking point, e.g. “let’s get our babies out of Iraq?” Hillary tries that all the time.

Libs: I know this is a difficult, alien concept, but you really need to deal in facts. How you feel when righteously pwned is not a fact, BTW.

Barb   February 7th, 2008 - 2:37 pm

So she makes a “drive by comment” and he calls her on it and asks her to explain which she does by making another “drive by” about Fox News. And the liberal response on this board is to criticize Shepherd Smith’s appearance and orientation? Just goes to show, the real bigots are the ones who always push “diversity” and “tolerance”. Wolfe isn’t the only one whose bigotry was exposed here

Viewer   February 7th, 2008 - 2:58 pm

Barb, it’s typical “attack or try to discredit the messenger” technique right outta the lib text book. I think it’s on the same page as “for the children”… they probably have that page dog-eared. :)

Viewer   February 7th, 2008 - 4:03 pm

goprfeggits- both of your jokes fell flat. Were you a bad comedian in your former life or do you just play one on here?

seejay   February 7th, 2008 - 4:40 pm

Fox aint Fox any more!
They saw the need for balance in teevee news and smartly provided it. Their rise to #1 is proof of that!
But since they’ve become the Top Dog in cable news, they’ve also become just as worthless as MSNBC and CNN.
They’re treatment of Dr. Ron Paul has to be among the worst violations of “journalistic ethics” ever broadcast! Right up there with Eason Jordan’s admissions of CNNs transgressions in Saddam’s Iraq!
I watched John Gibson’s show Tuesday. He actually aired a piece that featured the fact that if he were to apply his “spotlight” on one Republican candidate, he’d have to apply it to all of them, to be fair. And then he proceeded to do just that; feature all of the remaining candidates, EXCEPT DR. PAUL! Right after blabbering to all of us about his commitment to “fairness!”
Don’t trust the teevee! It’s run by globalists that will say ANYTHING for more of your money!

ELAINE   February 7th, 2008 - 5:00 pm

I USED TO REALLY LIKE SHEPPARD SMITH, BUT IN THE PAST FEW MONTHS HE HAS USED HIS AIR TIME TO BADGER PEOPLE WITH A DIFFERENCE OF OPINION. HE NOW USES FOX FOR HIS OWN POLITICAL VEIWS. TOO MUCH POWER, HE CAN’T HANDLE IT ANYMORE. HE IS LIKE A LITTLE BOY WHO HAD HIS FAVORITE TRUCK TAKEN AWAY. AS FAR AS DEFENDING FOX, HE COULDN’T CARE LESS ABOUT THE STATION. HE DOES HOWEVER HAVE TO DEFEND HIS PAYCHECK. TOO PHONEY FOR ME.

Mike   February 7th, 2008 - 5:08 pm

Somehow, I can’t envision Walter Cronkite pointing a finger on-air and saying “Don’t you …EVER!”

seejay   February 7th, 2008 - 5:52 pm

Mike: But can you picture your socialist millionaire Cronkite telling America that a war we were actively fighting….”was lost!”
I share none of your nostalgia for the days of three globalist teevee networks telling Americans what to think!
Sure the concept of “anchorman/woman is obsolete today. But let’s not pretend that just because the teevee told us Mr. Cronkite was the most trusted man in America, he really was! It was just another of the ongoing media lies!

Pogue Mahone   February 7th, 2008 - 5:56 pm

Good going, Mr. Smith! From David Letterman to Mika Brzezinski to just about every resident of Berkeley California to a shocking number of other people, all you ever hear is the usual “Fox News is a liar, they toe the Bush Administration’s line, they play fast and loose with the truth……Oh, I have NEVER watched Fox News, I would never watch that channel……but EVERYONE KNOWS they are liars” kind of statement. How responsible and intelligent is it to delegate your actual experience of something, let alone ascertaining truth and reputation, to people who are biased and have an agenda anyway? There’s even an infamous website that says “We watch Fox News so you don’t have to”! Oh, really? Gee, I wonder why you would want to do that for us? So you can explain to the lemmings what Fox News says through YOUR prism? I think anyone can tell who the real liars are in that scenario! Shame on anyone who can’t determine truth for themselves or is too lazy and easily-led to do so; and KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK defending yourself against manipulators and the brainwashed, Shepard Smith! Anyone who actually LISTENS to you and your colleagues can experience the high caliber of your reporting. It’s just a shame the rest of the news outlets aren’t as honest, as so many INDEPENDENT surveys have concluded. Keep giving these women – on BOTH sides of the aisle – red faces when they deserve it! I love that facial red glow when that bomb throwing woman was challenged in her dishonesty and then tried to trot out her “credentials” in desperation! In her shame, you can only guess what she’s calling Shepard Smith behind his back afterwards for exposing her!

RR   February 7th, 2008 - 7:18 pm

Beauty! The typical Clinton-Obama style: Say the first cliche that pops into your head, and then back away when asked about it. And then turn it around to blame the questioner! What a liar she is!!!!

E390   February 7th, 2008 - 8:08 pm

For those libs who came down on shep for defending himself, shame on you. You are the same people who will convert to islam rather than fight. Shep did the right thing, the man showed he is a man, we need more like him.

Brathor   February 12th, 2008 - 12:00 am

Smith is a bully as are nearly all the journalist-pundits on Fox. Naomi used an obvious figure of speech and Smith ran with it like it was Watergate. Ridiculous overreaction on his side, and shame on him and those who defend him for cutting her off and over shouting her. How can anyone stand watching cable news?
