Reading the vitriol over even considering single payer makes it easy to see how insurance companies have controlled our health care access and system for the last, whatever. People are selfishly believing “they” are in a position to choose options between insurance as if the debate is centered on a staff meeting at work, and the HR departments discussing different cafeteria style plans. Truth is, suggesting one “commercial” plan being better than another is a joke, unless you’re saying insurance underwriters have (historically) been willing to temporarily undercut profit potential for market share. A higher deductible or co-pay or reimbursement for an x-ray are conversations taking place in that staff meeting… the insurance company STILL GETS THEIR desired prices and fee structure.
The system is completely in need of overhaul, and we need to look at the industry completely different. It would at least be an honest discussion if people were saying a single-payer system would put thousands of people who work for the insurance industry out of work, or would reduce tax revenues because of the millions lost from the billions executives make. The insurance industry is not hurting for money, and has been making billions for so long that many Americans accept it like rain in the Spring.

The United States of America needs to develop and implement a single-payer system for health care in this country. Hearing the likes of George Will include in his diatribes against such a system the notion that, “… there are 8 million illegal aliens being counted in the 48 million uninsured people in America,” is a xenophobic call to racist instincts, and even if true, ignores the 40 million who are not illegal aliens!
I for one propose there be a national effort to organize a March on Washington this summer, in the next few weeks, to protest efforts by Congress who have been bought off by insurance lobbyist, to kill any effort to create a single-payer system. Enough already!
Those who are against single-payer are in the insurance industry camp. The insurance industry stands between the American people and their doctors, not the government. Saying the government wants to “take over” health care is an insurance industry canard. A system similar in all respects to Medicare will work perfectly. Medicare costs exceed the inflation rate since its inception by a mere 5 percent annually because THERE ARE MORE PEOPLE GETTING OLD and using the system. It’s more users being supported by fewer contributors that has costs higher. Again, lies to scare Americans into accepting another 30 years of insurance company mob-like malfeasance.
A March on Washington for Health care Reform Now attended by millions of Americans will get us the system that benefits Americans.

I have a solution to all of our problems. Since the left would love to see us fall in line with the European model and the failure it is, let’s take the TARP money, all the taxpayer’s money we were conned out of and let’s send everyone with a -D after their name to Europe. Free!
With Europe’s declining birthrates it would be the boon they’re looking for especially now that the muslim immigration into Europe is finding itself running into a wall. All those jobs will be filled once again, every democrat moving overseas being overjoyed at being “equal” with their European counterparts.

The actress Natasha Richardson died after falling skiing in Canada . It took eight hours to drive her to a hospital. If Canada had our healthcare she might be alive today. We now have helicopters that would have gotten her to the hospital in 30 minutes.
In England anyone over 59 cannot receive heart repairs or stents or bypass because it is not covered. It is deemed as being too expensive and not needed.
We better have out funerals paid up, may be needing it sooner rather than later with no Dr’s on our side to keep us healthy. What will this world be like in another 20 YEARS WHEN OUR KIDS ARE READY FOR RETIREMENT? SAD!!!

Most of you know by now that the Senate version (at least) of the “stimulus” bill includes provisions for extensive rationing of health care for senior citizens.. The author of this part of the bill, former senator and tax evader, Tom Daschle was credited today by Bloomberg with the following statement. Bloomberg: Daschle says “health-care reform will not be pain free. Seniors should be more accepting of the conditions that come with age instead of treating them.”
If this does not sufficiently raise your ire, just remember that Senators and Congressmen have their own healthcare plan that is first dollar or very low co-pay which they are guaranteed the remainder of their lives and are not subject to this new law if it passes. Looks like Obama is sure keeping his word ****CHANGES. Obama wants to have our healthcare like Canada’s and England’s. Is that what you voted for? Is that what you want for your grandchildren?
Please use the power of the Internet to get this message out. Talk it up at the grassroots level…. We have an election coming up in one year and nine months. We have the ability to address and reverse the dangerous direction the Obama administration and it allies have begun and in the interim, we can make their lives miserable. Lets do it! There is NOTHING significantly wrong with US the US healthcare system. I want SPECIFICS from Barack as to what the “crisis” is, what is “hanging by a thread”, and what “things keep getting worse”!!! We have the best care offerings in the world. I can get an MRI by the end of the day if I need it (unlike Canada/Europe/everywhere else). Healthcare is available to everyone… they just need to come to an organization like mine (and many others) that serve everyone regardless of the ability to pay. We’re eating the 40cents-on-a-dollar Medicare/Medicaid/T19 government reimbursement just fine by socking it to people that work and have good insurance. Barack Hussein is the one that is fear mongering.

Those 48 million who are uninsured aren’t just illegal immigrants, they are people who have not signed up for other government aid that is available to them, people between the ages of 18-34 who don’t need it (I am one of them) and households making more than 75K a year. Since when is health insurance not a choice anymore? Check out this website, it explains the 48 million number.
