Letterman will get by with this because Mrs. Palin’s daughter is white and she is a conservative. So there is no use in getting upset about it because it won’t do any good. It is obvious Letterman has “jumped the shark”. He looks at attractive women because the woman he had a child with is so ugly he makes sure he is never seen with her, and, no pictures are allowed of her and their puppy. She is such a dog, his NAMBLA contacts turned down his offers to take his kid. He waited as long as he could to marry her because he is embarrassed by her looks. He is so preoccupied with Sarah, he thinks of her and calls out Sarahs name while mating with this female dog. If his canine companion had any class, she would have left him out over his misogynistic comments, but she couldn’t be sure the kennel wouldn’t put her down before some other old, wrinkly, lonely guy adopted her.
If he invites the Palins on, they should demand it be live, so when Todd kicks his teeth in we can all watch. It would get her elected.

1. Palin’s “outrage” is a bit disingenuous since her (elder) daughter DID get “knocked up,” as Letterman’s joke so crudely put it. When you do stuff like that in the PUBLIC EYE, you become fodder for JOKES. C’est la vie.
2. Letterman’s whole LIFE (not just his joke or pseudo-apologies) is ONE BIG NASTY JOKE/LIE, since HE did “knock up” his frumpy girlfriend and failed to marry the mother of his red-headed spawn until the dorky kid was about FIVE YEARS OLD!!!!!
i.e., neither one garners any sympathy around HERE. Both are disingenuous NUTS who are wasting our time & energy with this crap.

Anyone who has watched Letterman from the very beginning knows a few things about his misogynism:
In the early days of his NBC program, he used to insult and degrade actress Teri Garr for is own amusement on a routine basis, getting her to the point of tears and finally sending her flying from the program and any association with him for more than a decade. Even now, when she appears on camera with him (which is extremely rare), the discomfort on Ms. Garr’s part is palpable. She acts like a raped woman, and after the treatment she received from Letterman in public, can you blame her?
Letterman has launched into some shockingly infantile behavior in insulting some female guests exclusively. Notably, Raquel Welch was insulted to the point of embarrassment, Madonna and Cher had the courage to fight back at his misogynistic treatment, and others were just left nearly in tears.
Several sources have reported in the past that Letterman has “deflowered” at least one of his assistants, and it was clear on more than one occasion that he treats at least one or two of his people, especially those that work with him in the audience, with absolutely ridicule and disdain, probably for not accepting his advances.
He behaved like some sort of virgin teenager when Drew Barrymore flashed him while dancing on his desk for his birthday. His reaction was truly amazing, he went on about it as though he had never seen or heard of anything like this in his life. Again, this was a man in his mid-50s getting dangerously aroused by an almost underage girl at the time.
Letterman’s attacks on McCain and Palin didn’t stop when the election was over, they just ramped up to being like an obsession, and his particular interest in McCain’s daughter and Sarah Palin’s daughters has been both repetitive and creepy for some time now.
Even his comments about his wife-to-be were highly insulting, suggesting she was just there to bear him a child. He obviously doesn’t have much respect for the woman, and it’s almost impossible for him to say anything that contradicts that fact. I don’t know any woman who could listen to his comments about her, or lack thereof, and not demand better treatment from him. He only mentions his son, never his wife.
Even his former live-in girlfriend, who is really responsible for most of his NBC show’s success, and with whom he couldn’t succeed in love either, looks like a woman severely mistreated by him on the rarest of occasions that she has appeared on his show.
This is not a man who is wired to be decent to women. Who knows why, maybe like his father, maybe some life experience, maybe insecurity, who knows? But this Palin treatment is so beyond the pale, that you have to hand it to Palin to finally stand up for any and all of the women that people like Letterman think are there to be degraded for his amusement and his audience’s guffaws.
He even claims that he was referring to Palin’s 18-year old daughter, as though having a sick oversexed baseball player rape and 18-year-old is somehow an okay thing! Welcome to the long overdue exposure on the Hidden Life of Letterman!
Get rid of him, and in doing so start cleaning up American morals one essential step at a time!
