June 13-14, 2009: Videos the Iranian Government Doesn’t Want You to See

The New York Times: The Iranian authorities detained more than 100 prominent opposition members, and on Sunday unrest continued for a second day across Iran in the wake of the country’s disputed presidential election.

Editor's Warning: The first video in this playlist shows Iranian police beating a man to the point of motionlessness. It's uncertain if he died. All of the videos in this playlist contain varying degrees of graphic images.

Where is Obama? Why is he not speaking in defense of the Iranian people who are fighting for their freedom?

Dave, Tn   June 14th, 2009 - 3:44 pm

It’s Bush’s fault.

this isnt a shock..they hang girls from cranes for being gay or looking at a boy….only way to get Iran back from the grips of tyrants is to destroy the 3rd century thugs running the place.

They’re upset because the Tehran branch of ACORN registered Osama Bin Laden 500 times. Funny parallel there; Iranian Islamic Nazis, American Dem Nazis both manipulating election results. How curious.

That’s America about four years from now. Worse economy, government messing everythingup, and Islamic fundamentalist in charge.

Tubby   June 14th, 2009 - 6:30 pm

Liberty for Iraq. Liberty for Afghanatan. Liberty for Iran.

Pres. Geo. Bush was about ten years ahead of the curve in his promotion of true and honest democratic freedoms in the middle east.

Too bad the leftist nit wits just stabbed him and the troops in the back every chance they got.

This reminds me of the elections in Phili, Pa with the dropped charges of voter intimidation on a few good “black panther” type men outside a voting area.

Whatwhatwhat   June 15th, 2009 - 11:16 am

This is how democracy is truly born. It is fought for by the people who want it, not imposed by some foreign military at the political machinations of a foreign power.

And for all the reich-wingers who are stupidly asking where Obama is in all of this the answer is clear: Obama is using his brain and proceeding with caution as this situation demands. The last thing a burgeoning democratic movement in Iran needs is over the top public support from the head of a foreign power.

“Kent State 1970″ is two words and 4 numerals.

Fail.

“The last thing a burgeoning democratic movement in Iran needs is over the top public support from the head of a foreign power.”

Maybe, but a little sumthin’ sumthin’ would be prudent at this point. It remains to be seen if Obama is using his brain on this one.
