CA Gay-Marriage Ban Upheld But Existing Same-Sex Unions Stand

AP: The state Supreme Court on Tuesday upheld a voter-approved ban on same-sex marriage, but also decided that the estimated 18,000 gay couples who wed before the law took effect will stay married. The 6-1 decision written by Chief Justice Ron George rejected an argument from gay-rights activists that the ban revised the California constitution's equal protection clause to such a dramatic degree that it first needed the Legislature's approval.

America…

This court got it right to uphold Proposition 8 voted on by the “majority” of California residents.

This court got it wrong by allowing “existing”
Gay marriages to stand.

Hypocritical to say the least and leaving the right…again up in the air!

Sounds like a “fence sitting” court to me!

What nobody gets is that a crooked and perverse nation will allow crooked and perverse people do what crooked and perverse will people do.

It is NOT the duty of a Christian to scream at ‘em. Ya give ‘em the Gospel, and move along.

Christ gave men the truth, they killed Him for it.

They killed the AUTHOR of Justice…

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment

What this video fails to mention is that the California Supreme Court in today’s ruling made it mandatory for lesbos to get a Licker License.

good, but allowing the sham marriages, illegitimately formed, to stand is insane and is going to create massive problems. let’s hope this is appealed and overturned.

This is why the crime rate will always be rising and everything will continue to get worse, because we worry about stuff like this. It doesn’t seem important at all. Anyone can live together and no you don’t get benefits just for living together. Yes, next time, it will be two or three people and a cow that is supposed to constitute a marriage, but is it really imporantant? Shouldn’t we be concentrating on actual crime and teaching kids to be responsible adults and not make excuses for everything. People will push this forever, then they’ll push something else. This is what society has come to? Then it will be ‘how can you teach kids responsibility, isn’t that like religion?’. What the hell.

The Founding Fathers were not gay men. They would never have considered endorsing homosexuality by incorporating it into the “all men are made equal” portion of the U.S. Constitution. They also made their political and social views well known in The Federalist Papers as well, and there is no hint whatsoever that homosexuality is an essential “right” in their eyes.

What a surprise, Liberals split the baby again.

The ancient Greeks, who were very amenable to and accepting of homosexual relationships, never even considered redefining marriage – they protected that institution as critical to producing and raising children. The wisdom of 5000 years of civilization and scientific research in abundance verifies that Mom (woman) + Dad (man) in a committed lifelong marriage is by far the best way for kids to grow up across a wide swathe of metrics.

Interesting report from Pete Williams. Pete was DICK Cheney’s spokesman at the defense department in 1991. Pete was outed as GAY after he left the Pentagon. I wonder if ole Pete got married to the man of his dreams?

Then of course DICK Cheney’s daughter is a lesbian. Didn’t she get test-tube knocked up with DICK’s grandchild? Seems like those two mommies could stand to tie a marriage knot…you know…I’d bet the farm that Dick Cheney’s daughter had lesbian sex in the Naval Observatory, the Veep’s Official Residence.

I wonder if DICK is going to talk about whether his daughter should make an honest woman out of her baby’s momma? Inquiring minds want to know.

ANOTHER AMENDMENT NEEDED TO SILENCE THIS CRAP   May 26th, 2009 - 10:56 pm

Some rather acerbic remarks and some rather witty ones. The Supreme Court of California is obviously a bunch of ‘chicken-sheets’ who thought straddling the fence and trying to “satisfy” both factions in this fractious issue would be the only safe way to go. Obviously, they are worried about RECALL. However, when you ride the fence and refuse to take a FAIR STAND, you end up ALIENATING BOTH SIDES. It would serve them all right if they ALL get RECALLED.

The Supreme Court of California *created* this mess and now they’ve gone and exacerbated it. We can only hope that the WILL OF THE PEOPLE will stand and those 18,000 BOGUS marriages will be declared null and void. Then the PEOPLE OF CALIF. should AMEND THEIR CONSTITUTION to state that A MARRIAGE IS BETWEEN A MAN AND A WOMAN, AND THERE WILL BE NO MORE TAXPAYER MONIES WASTED ON ADDITIONAL ARGUMENTS OR ELECTIONS TO TRY TO CHANGE THAT OBVIOUS, IRONCLAD, NATURAL, AND LOGICAL CONCLUSION.

PERIOD!

Proposition 8 – California Blacks Voted 70% In Support…Showing that black people are offended by the LGBT misuse of civil rights. They know that both Malcolm X and Martin Luther King would never approve of same-sex marriages.

MEDIA BIAS   May 27th, 2009 - 3:25 am

Mainstream media has again FAVORED one side (guess which one!!!) of this story to the almost TOTAL EXCLUSION of the other side.

It is outrageous the way the news stations give these freaky whackos and twisted perverts a MOUTHPIECE on the air so they can try to BRAINWASH the dimwits in the audience. WHY so many people are so easily BRAINWASHED by this whining, crybaby, ACT UP group is a total mystery.

Alarming and disgusting to the max! AMERICA: WAKE UP before our country is TOTALLY DEPRAVED!!!!

P.S. All five states that have gone down the “OK TO BE GAY & WED” slippery-slope have done so based SOLELY ON legislative or court COUPS! The PEOPLE of those states had ABSOLUTELY NO SAY IN THE MATTER! WAKE UP, folks.
