Powell: Limbaugh ‘Will Not Get His Wish’; Cheney ‘Misinformed’
"I am still a Republican. I'd like to point out that in the course of my 50 years of voting for presidents, I have voted for the person I thought was best qualified at that time to lead the nation.
Last year I thought it was President-now Barack Obama."
Powell is such a bozo, he is a huge waste of human life. When he was in the Bush administration, bl@cks and democrats called him every derogatory name in the book. He is currently irrelevant to anything the Republican party does. The only people that place any value in anything this guy mutters is the left leaning MSM, and that is no surprise. His thoughts on where the Republican party should be are totally out of step with where the party needs to be. He is EXACTLY what is wrong with the party right now.

I respect Mr. Powell’s military service but I don’t think most conservatives would consider him a conservative leader today. He made himself perfectly clear on what he feels is important –it doesn’t include protecting constitutional rights. He certainly isn’t a unifier. He is promoting divisiveness among conservatives. He is only interested in protecting his own legacy. I think most conservative thinking Americans have little time for that. He is putting his own selfish motives ahead of our country’s best interests. I don’t think most conservatives give a hoot about what Colin Powell thinks– his days of power are over.

Dear Colin…you may still consider yourself a member of the Republican party…however…those of us Conservative Republicans in the party…consider you long gone!
You know, Colin, I had respected you at one time. I even bought your book to have in my library of books to encourage my grandchildren when the time came.
Then you shocked America…by voting for the most unethical, inexperienced, naive man that could have ever been elevated to the position of a candidate for the Presidency of our great nation.
A post, that if you yourself had considered running for, you would have had my vote!
I am glad you refused that calling when it was brought to you…because I too would have made just as big a mistake as you did when you endorsed Bilderberg Bush-Obama.
It showed me one thing…you are just a racist…and found your opportunity to get back at “whitey”!
Apparently, the fact that you had achieved such a high level position in our government along with the respect of that position, you didn’t feel it was quite enough for “whitey” to do for you.
So, dear Colin, adios amigos…we hardly knew you…you were a man that lived in our neighborhood!
P.S. By the way…your book…I destroyed…don’t want my grandchildren reading about the biggest racist and bigot of all time!

Gen. Powell just needs to shut up and go away. He is an embarrassment to all Republicans & US Army Retirees! Anyone who is former or retired military and a Republican that thinks Obama was a better choice to be Commander In Chief than John McCain is either a liar, an idiot, or perhaps both!
This man is a has-been who is making a fool of himself in a feeble attempt to re-establish his legacy as a leader, instead of the backstabbing, racist jerk who endorsed B. Hussein Obama for President over a fellow American war veteran!
Screw him!
VFFV!

Mr Powell has every right to select and endorse Obama as president. The janitor at my office also selected Obama as his president. What do the two have in common? Well, both gave incredibly weak arguements for why Obama was the best qualified to be commander in chief. To think that a military man like Powell would have selected a community agitator as the best commander in chief is beyond me. I hate to say this, but somehow I think r@ce played a major part in Powell’s endorsement….and therefore, in my mind, his opinion is irrelevant.
TruthTellerMay 24th, 2009 - 3:24 pm
Dear Mr. Powell,
By endorsing and subsequently voting for the single LEAST qualified candidate for president this country has ever seen, you have proven that you have no judgment or character whatever.
You yourself admitted that race played a part in your decision. Hence, that makes you a racist. And an extremely poor judge of character.
Imagine if, unlike so many weak minded Americans, instead of being seduced by Obama’s personality, oratory & empty rhetoric, imagine if instead of choosing to ignore all the terrible associations and frightening implication surrounding him, imagine if you had the integrity, courage and honor to stand up and DEMAND he be vetted by the press and the Federal Election Commission. You KNOW he would not be the President of the United States.
Therefore sir, as one who once led the US military, as one who was once entrusted with the foreign relations of this country, since you CHOSE to align yourself and even help elect this current utterly corrupt and completely incompetent administration, I can come to no other conclusion except you sir, are a traitor- NOT just to your former party (who now despise you), but indeed you are a traitor to your own country!
History will show that just like the robot generals seduced by Hitler in the 1930s, you will be counted among those DIRECTLY responsible for the destruction of our form of government and the downfall of the United States of America.
Shame on you Colin Powell. SHAME ON YOU! You are a disgrace to the uniform you once wore, a disgrace to the loyal men and women who once served under you, and a traitor the flag you once (supposedly) served.
Go now you disgrace and take your rightful place in infamy alongside Jeremiah Wright, Bill Ayers, Louis Farrakhan and the other vermin that worship this… Obamanation.
Sincerely,
A Real Patriot

Gen. Powell is way off on this one. He has no appeal to any republicans by supporting hussein in any way, shape or form.
Eileen for Freedom/LibertyMay 24th, 2009 - 5:04 pm
Things I don’t want to admit.
1.Colin Powell is one of the few Republicans with enough fire in his belly to stand up to his party’s extremists.
2.In 1984, Ronald Reagan won every Northeastern state. Now there are hardly any G.O.P.left there as the leadership of the G.O.P. has systematically shed its idealists in favor of ideologues, reducing itself to the current Cheney-Limbaugh illusionati whose strategy is to exploit faith and ignorance by fanning fear and hatred.
3.The number of people who see themselves as GOPers is on the decline even as those who remain within the party grow more and more conservative.
Dick Cheney does little to win over wavering Republicans or recruit Independents back to the GOP cause.
4.I know all of this, however I need my fear and hatred of Obama to bring meaning into my pathetic life.I see myself as a Paul Revere, warning American about this Black man,who in my delusional mind is the greatest threat against white America in my life time.
JUST ANOTHER TYPICAL DAY IN THE MIND OF A LUNATIC.

That’s right Republicans!!
Drive Gen. Powell over here to the Democratic party too!! The only problem Democrats have with Powell is that (R) associated with his party. If that were a (D), he would be perfect!
So shew away Powell over here to us Democrats! We DO want real Americans like him on our side! We also want Schwarzenegger too! In fact we still would like McCain as well, but that is going to be a long shot. In return you guys can still keep Lieberman.
We want Meghan McCain too. We will even take Mary and Heather Cheney (probably already good Democrats). In fact we want all the normal humans you have. If they are not far right imbeciles, we Democrats want them to join us to make or nation what it will be.
The goal is that you true blue mindless far right wing morons are all that will be left in the Republican party. Then everyone will be happy.
Don't Tread on MeMay 24th, 2009 - 6:19 pm
Some libtards are happy to have ole Colin P on their side. I say GO COLIN! We conservatives don’t want you associated with us. YOU are a RINO! So get over yourself, and get that nasty old R behind your name changed to a D. D for dumb and dumber.
TruthTellerMay 24th, 2009 - 6:35 pm
Yes Larse- everyone who believe in the following
is a “true blue mindless far right wing moron”:
1) The US Constitution
2) Capitalism not socialism
3) Murdering infants is wrong
4) Making fun of the disabled is wrong
5) US Presidents bowing to foreign kings is bad
6) That America is worth fighting for and dying for
7) FREEDOM is worth fighting for and dying for
8) That hard work should be rewarded
9) People should be able to keep the money they earn
10) People who WON’T work, shouldn’t get the money of those who do.
11) 11 year-olds shouldn’t get abortion without parental consent.
12) Deficit spending 11 TRILLION dollars is insanity.
13) The US government should NOT be in the car business!
14) The US government should NOT be in the medical business!
15) The US government should NOT be in the banking business!
16) Free markets, competition and capitalism are WHY America has flourished
AND FINALLY (try to get your little mind around this one): 16) FREEDOM is BETTER than totalitarianism!
I wish ALL the conservatives would start calling themselves democrats in the next election, and start acting like, even thought they don’t believe in a single democrat position, they still are the future of the party.
Who cares what the liberal Powell thinks? Every time he opens his mouth it is obvious to all but the most ignorant that he is a left winger. Shun him, do not give him the airtime he craves and the democrats need.
TruthTellerMay 24th, 2009 - 7:03 pm
LOL! I just realized that by stating the OPPOSITE,
I have created a LAUNDRY LIST for the LEFT!
This insanity is what these crazies REALLY believe!
1) The US Constitution is OUTDATED
2) Socilaism is BETTER than Capitalism!
3) Murdering infants is ok as long as we call it “Partial Birth Abortion”
4) Making fun of the disabled is FUNNY
5) US Presidents bowing to foreign kings is COOL!
6) That America is NOT worth fighting for and dying for
7) FREEDOM is NOT worth fighting for and dying for
8) That hard work should be PUNISHED!
9) People should GIVE the money they earn- TO THE GOVERNMENT for REDISTRIBUTION!
10) People who WON’T work, SHOULD get the money of those who do.
11) 11 year-olds SHOULD get abortion without parental consent.
12) Deficit spending 11 TRILLION dollars is GREAT!!.
13) The US government SHOULD be in the car business!
14) The US government SHOULD be in the medical business!
15) The US government SHOULD be in the banking business!
16) Free markets, competition and capitalism is WHY America is EVIL!!!
AND FINALLY (hard to get your mind around this one): 16) Obama-style totalitarianism is BETTER than freedom!

Truthfully, Powell is a bit of a misfit for the Republican party since he actually served his nation in the military with distinction instead of dodging and pretending to serve like Bush, Cheney and Limpbaugh.
Powell is one of the few republicans this Nation actually likes and he has far too much class to be a rethug. Rethugs should stick to oxycrack addicted morons, liars and your general run of the mill fake hypocrites.

Could John McCain have been a more worthy military man? That Colon Powell would as a General(so called)not consider him a better President? What does a white man have to do to gain Colon’s support? McCain was a real military man, West Point, not a Community Collge General.

Why do I get the feeling everytime I see one of Larse the arse posts I picture him singing that old Disney theme song “When you wish upon a star”. Note the illogical liberal mind at work. It’s been proven time and time again the more liberals employ conservative values the more they win elections with even his own empty suit running on the venue of tax cuts (rebates). Conservatives not running on conservative values is what cost them the election with alot of the base staying home. Wait till 2010 and watch your precious little majority turn to dust. lol
Oh, and how do those tax rebates feel now Larse? That thousand bucks going to cover the 3 thousand projected tax increase next year? We haven’t even gotten into health care and cap and trade yet. lol You lemmings make kool-aid and I suggest you stick with what you’re good at, it’s obvious you have no business experience or common sense.

Your opinions are in a constant state of flux having to bend with the wind should the DNC talking points mandate it. I noticed you didn’t dispute the points I brought up. Smart boy.
LarseMay 25th, 2009 - 2:26 pm
Let me tell you what is going to happen in 2010 to the republican party. Realize that my predictions have an odd habit of coming true…
You won’t take back any seats. You will lose more. Listen to this hard!
The problem for the Republican party is that they will be so panicked into trying to save their old sitting dinosaurs already in office, that they will not have the money, time, or resources left over to try and expand their base.
It’s just that simple… Copy and paste the above sentence into your word program, print it out, and hang it on your wall above a box of tissues. Then sit back and what it happen.
Even Eileen has the Republicans figured out now. Expect a third party to form from ex-republicans that just can’t be Democrats. That new party won’t be a factor in the short term to Democrats, but it will decimate the Republican party.
SundownerMay 25th, 2009 - 4:12 pm

When you wish upon a star, makes no matter who you are…
Now why would I bother doing something like that you twit, Larse. You and yours scurry like cockroaches when there’s any thread you can’t plug a hate message in to and know they’re not winnable. Come election day you’ll just be crying in your beer over what could have been.
As for a third party you should be more worried that it won’t be from fracturing the democrats knucklehead. They’re the ones turning the country upside down and it’ll be the republicans who stay on message and win back seats. To think otherwise is just using stupid lemming-like liberal logic, meaning it has zero substance behind it.

Dear Larse…you got that wrong!
If the conservatives are forced to form a third party because the “fence sitters” just won’t leave, it will ‘decimate’ (better known as “wipe out”) not only the Republicans but the “new” Democratzi!
Put together millions of Independents who are really conservatives who couldn’t stomach the Republicans any longer…
Add the old time Democrats who are disgusted with the “new” Democratzi socialist party…
Add the rest of us conservative hangers on to the Republican party from last election…
And you have a force to be reckoned with…GUARANTEED BUBBA!
The time has come for a third party!

Eileen thinks the McCain “rinos” are going to join with the very reich-wing that is attempting to purge the GOP. Small question: Whose candidate will be allowed to run under the rethug banner? The rino candidate or the reich-wing candidate?
Who is going to give money to a party that is spending all of its time stabbing each other in the back and laying prostrate before an oxycrack addicted fata$$ talk show host/entertainer?
