WAKE UP PEOPLE!! If you let Obama decide what healthcare we have we’ll all end up with NOTHING!! Government run anything always proves to be a COLOSSAL FAILURE!

One thing’s for certain – while the chattering classes are waiting in line for healthcare you can bet Congress will be receiving top notch care!

Write, call, email the jerks and tell them to stay out of healthcare!

Azul Del Fuego   May 23rd, 2009 - 1:40 pm

This would be a great story – you know how Obama likes to throw anyone that came before him under the bus for this or that “bad” decision? This is sort of like the new Star Trek theme where they were bouncing in and out of black holes and bending time. What if Obama was able to blame someone in the future for problems we are having today? Sort of a high tech futuristic “blame someone else” story.

Stand up Americans against government run health care. It will have disasterous consequences for you and your family. Rationing and long waits for needed care will ensure that many Americans will die needlessly. Government run anything is a failure. They will only be interested in saving money not lives. Free health care will raise your taxes like you never seen before. E-mail your senators and representatives and let them know if they vote for this disaster in the making, they will be voted out of office. Make yourself heard before it’s too late.

Yes. In the garden, growth has its seasons. First comes spring and summer, but then we have fall and winter. And then we get spring and summer again.

kmichaels   May 23rd, 2009 - 2:29 pm

Ace, I am a “Being There” fan. And it really fits this situation. Except for the fact that Chauncey was kind and innocent and Snooty Snotty Obama is a Chicago thug, but he is as stupid.

Yes,unfortunately. There’s no innocence or kindness in the blue lip weasel; and that’s for sure!

Out of money means more taxes, make your checks out to acorn or obama.

Magyarfrau   May 23rd, 2009 - 4:09 pm

Unless you want a politician to decide if your family members live or die– contact Congress as many times as possible. Let them know you don’t want Obama style or Pelosi style health care!

Barry   May 23rd, 2009 - 4:37 pm

Health care wasn’t the reason we’re out of money! There wasn’t any provision for it in the “porkulus” bill, was there? Of course, he wants a NEW major push for health care on the government’s (that’s us, folks) dime! I hope the people who voted for B.O. are finally starting to wake up and see what they got us into.

just a few thoughts   May 23rd, 2009 - 8:44 pm

“Remember, a patch on your coat and money in your pocket is more credible than a writ on your back and no money to take it off.”

- Benjamin Franklin
on Frugality

“Educate your children to self-control, to the habit of holding passion and prejudice and evil tendencies subject to an upright and reasoning will, and you have done much to abolish misery from their future and crimes from society.”

- Benjamin Franklin

“Being out of debt myself, my credit could not be shaken by any run upon me; out of debt, as the proverb says, was being out of danger.”

- Benjamin Franklin

“All socialism involves slavery…. That which fundamentally distinguishes the slave is that he labors under coercion to satisfy another’s desires. The relation admits of many gradations. Oppressive taxation is a form of slavery of the individual to the community as a whole. The essential question is — How much is he compelled to labor for other benefit than his own, and how much can he labor for his own benefit?” –Herbert Spencer

“One of the methods used by statists to destroy capitalism consists in establishing controls that tie a given industry hand and foot, making it unable to solve its problems, then declaring that freedom has failed and stronger controls are necessary.” –Ayn Rand

“You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift. You cannot help small men by tearing down big men. You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong. You cannot lift the wage-earner by pulling down the wage-payer. You cannot help the poor man by destroying the rich. You cannot keep out of trouble by spending more than your income. You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred. You cannot establish security on borrowed money. You cannot build character and courage by taking away men’s initiative and independence. You cannot help men permanently by doing for them what they could and should do for themselves.” –Presbyterian minister William J.H. Boetcker (1873-1962)

“We have rights, as individuals, to give as much of our own money as we please to charity; but as members of Congress we have no right so to appropriate a dollar of public money.” –American hunter, frontiersman, soldier and politician Davy Crockett (1786-1836)

In my many years I have come to a conclusion that one useless man is a shame, two is a law firm, and three or more is a congress.

- John Adams

An unlimited power to tax involves, necessarily, a power to destroy; because there is a limit beyond which no institution and no property can bear taxation.

John Marshall, McCullough v. Maryland, 1819

“The deficit doctors have their scalpels out all right, but they’re not poised over the budget. That’s as fat as ever and getting fatter. What they’re ready to operate on is your wallet.” –Ronald Reagan

“Those who would trade our freedom for the soup kitchen of the welfare state have told us that they have a utopian solution of peace without victory. They call their policy “accommodation”. And they say if we only avoid any direct confrontation with the enemy, he will forget his evil ways and learn to love us. . . . We cannot buy our security, our freedom from the threat of the bomb by committing an immorality so great as saying to a billion human beings now in slavery behind the Iron Curtain, “Give up your dreams of freedom because to save our own skin, we are willing to make a deal with your slave-masters”.”

Ronald Reagan

“The Founding Fathers knew a government can’t control the economy without controlling people. And they knew when a government sets out to do that, it must use force and coercion to achieve its purpose. So we have come to a time for choosing. (October 27, 1964)”

Ronald Reagan

“The more government takes in taxes, the less incentive people have to work. What coal miner or assembly-line worker jumps at the offer of overtime when he knows Uncle Sam is going to take 60 percent or more of his extra pay?”

Ronald Reagan

Our properties within our own territories [should not] be taxed or regulated by any power on earth but our own. Thomas Jefferson

We must not let our rulers load us with perpetual debt.

Thomas Jefferson, letter to Samuel Kercheval, July 12, 1816

[T]he States can best govern our home concerns and the general government our foreign ones. I wish, therefore… never to see all offices transferred to Washington, where, further withdrawn from the eyes of the people, they may more secretly be bought and sold at market.

Thomas Jefferson, letter to Judge William Johnson, June 12, 1823

“The same prudence which in private life would forbid our paying our own money for unexplained projects, forbids it in the dispensation of the public moneys.” –Thomas Jefferson

Am I the only one who fails to see the false connection between health care and our deficit?

And doesn’t B-HO look tired, or something?

It’s a nice tactic to repeat a lie over and and over. Pretty soon, it will be thought of as The Truth. The Truth is, even if government health care was a good thing, WE COULDN’T PAY FOR IT!

Cheers,
