One aspect of Christ is that he was willing to fight for the right, to defend his people.

Matthew 26:52 has to do with using weapons on an aggressive basis, not on a defensive basis. The scriptures are full of God condoning and requiring self defense of his people.

To live by the sword means that you use violence as your means of making a living and a means of how you acquire your strength and your resources. Therefore, those that live by the sword.

These sort of people do indeed tend to die by the sword, since nobody likes an aggressive bully.

To paint America as this aggressive bully is inaccurate and just plain stupid.

The idea that you just let your enemies destroy America and equate that to individuals that allow a certain amount of persecution personally is again, very stupid.

Finally, on Christs admonition to love your enemy, I can think of no greater love than to spread freedom and democracy to our entire earth. This allows our current enemies to become our friends and allies being a great blessing to themselves, their children and to us, their new friends.
