Senate Votes to Block Obama from Transferring Guantanamo Prisoners to U.S.

AP: In a major rebuke to President Barack Obama, the Senate voted overwhelmingly on Wednesday to block the transfer of Guantanamo detainees to the United States and denied the administration the millions it sought to close the prison. The 90-6 Senate vote—paired with similar House action last week—was a clear sign to Obama that he faces a tough fight getting the Democratic-controlled Congress to agree with his plans to shut down the detention center and move the 240 detainees.

Contessa Brewer, it’s easy to see why she didn’t make it with Imus. She’s butt stupid.

And so is Obamawack. He’ll let them out anyway, get the 80 mil from the ACORN.

not sure if its a “rebuke” if Obama hasn’t (yet) proposed doing anything of the sort!

America…maybe there is a light at the end of the dark tunnel (no pun intended) known as Bilderberg Bush-Obama!

Now if only this congress will start speaking up and speaking out against these other damaging policies and programs of Bilderberg Bush-Obama…we can save our nation from destruction!

Keep calling/emailing your Congress and telling them how you feel…America.

We are getting through…the blinders are starting to come off!

Keep it up…keep the pressure on!

JUST ANOTHER PATHETIC DAY IN THE ‘REIGN OF BARRY HUSSEIN’ AND HIS BILDERBERG AGENDA TO TAKE AMERICA DOWN ONE BANK, ONE AUTO COMPANY, ONE BIG SPENDING BILL AT A TIME!

Send them to MEXICO   May 20th, 2009 - 4:59 pm

Alternative solution:
Send them to Mexico and pay Mexicans to guard them. In fact, all the states should do that. In large numbers, many of those shipped to Mexican prisons & jails would be Mexicans, so it would perhaps address more issues than what to do with Gitmo detainees & U.S. prisoners, but might also address our ILLEGAL ALIEN (EUPHEMISTICALLY CALLED “IMMIGRANTS”) PROBLEM AS WELL.

You win some, you lose one. Obama kept his promise and gets credit for it.

Larse   May 20th, 2009 - 7:15 pm

It was a bad poor bill… Not the way to go at all. They need to think a lot harder there for sure!

And somebody needs to get a coffin and bury Pat Buchanan…

Boy in Boycott   May 20th, 2009 - 10:49 pm

Why is Congress going against the President? This is not right. The detainees should be released now!

Please contact your state reps/senators and demand that Gitmo be closed down and the prisoners released, please.

To nutjobnutjobnutjob, Stupid-Boy-Larse & Mark/Little Boy in Boycott, what the hell are you three schmucks thinking and smoking? Are you three clowns are saying that you WANT these subhuman vermin in your neighborhood? Guess what you leftist jackasses, the senate yesterday went with we the American people on saying that WE DON’T WANT THESE ISLAMOFASCIST BUMS IN OUR COMMUNITIES. And my guess is that the three of you morons agreed with those disgraced demoncats who wants these subhuman vermin in our community.

Mark/Little Boy in Boycott:

“Why is Congress going against the President? This is not right/ The detainees should be released now!”

OMFG, how stupid can you get Mark, first off Mark, do you want a hardcore-dictatorship to emerge in this country, where the president can do whatever he pleases, YES or NO? Secondly it is “right” that the Democrats & Republicans in the senate voted to block Professor O’s transferring these radical islamist into our neighborhoods, this is STILL a democracy Mark/Little Boy in Boycott not a dictatorship-state. And Mark, the people called their senators and representatives to tell them that it is WRONG to let these islamofascist radicals out of guantanamo bay and into the general population. So Mark, I want you to go to Guantanamo Bay, & be a good Fabian-Socialist leftist & hug and kiss one of these radical islamist and demand that they live with you, because you and your left wing ilk are outnumbered in this country by a 10-1 ratio!

Liberalism is a Mental Disorder!!!!

OUTSOURCE PRISONERS   May 21st, 2009 - 2:20 pm

Great idea! Outsource prisoners to Mexico. NOBODY wants to be in a Mexican jail… This would be a better deterrent than the DEATH PENALTY (which is never enforced anyway, it seems).

SEND ALL AMERICAN PRISONERS TO MEXICO, PAY THE MEXICANS TO HOUSE & GUARD THEM, and YOU SOLVE MANY PROBLEMS SIMULTANEOUSLY.
