All this drama….he said “I waited there for over an hour”….that tells me that the authorities were extremely patient….how many other motorists were delayed because of this fame seeker….just imagine if he had only cooperated for 5-10 minutes, apparently he had nothing to hide….but then he wouldn’t get his 15 minutes of fame. He said “why is this happening in the USA?”….answer, because YouTube fame seekers like him refuse to cooperate with the authorities that are trying to keep all of us safe. So pathetic.

What a FoolMay 13th, 2009 - 9:15 am
Oh wow, please tell us all more of what the bad bad police officers do to you? You poor poor baby. Next time don’t be an ass these guys are trying to protect us all. You are a fool and I have no sympathy for you! You need to grow up and stop acting like a little b*tch!
JarheadMay 13th, 2009 - 10:33 am
He should have licked the cops boots like a good slave.
He got what he deserved. That’s why I always carry toothpaste with me as I’m driving, so I can wash my mouth out after a good pig-boot-licking.

Now that video was short and to the point. Sweet. You would think a pastor would have more common sense than to go out and initiate something like this. Shame on you preacher man! Thou shalt not commit foolishness on America’s Highway!
kmichaelsMay 13th, 2009 - 11:22 am
I have studied this guy thoroughly because there was something odd and untrue about him.
Here is what I discovered.
1) He never went to any ministry
2) His followers are few, mostly family
3) He preaches direct hate for groups
4) He hates jews, gays (not their sins, them personally) and cops in general
5) He denounces all cops in his sermons as being useless
6) On no less than 10 occasions, with 10 different groups of cops, possibly tens more, he has been seen trying to goad the cops into anger, so he can capture it on video.
7) Half the time he is seen approaching the cops first, acting strangely, so that he can arouse questioning.
8) After he purposely arouses suspicion he goes into this I wont answer any questions routine because I haven’t done anything wrong.
9) Real Christians are taught to obey the laws of their lands, where possible.
10) Real Christians are taught that authority is likely to do more damage to a person unless you are agreeable with them quickly. This is just simple common sense wisdom.
11) When this fake posted previously about this event he painted a more bleak picture. This video shows that the authorities were extremely patient, asked him to shut his eyes, did not abuse him when he was removed, etc.
12) Not only did this fake pastor bring this upon himself he wanted something like this to happen.
13) This fake has been doing these things for a minimum of two years, more likely double that up to four years.
My conclusions were drawn from reviewing all of his videos which he has posted on youtube.

I can’t believe some of these comments. Don’t you have any idea of what your rights as an individual are and that they are not given to you by authorities but by your creator. The guy was simply driving to work. Yes he is a pastor that actually has to also have a job because he isn’t robbing his congregation blind like some big name pastors. He was stopped by border patrol but wasn’t crossing a border.
Isn’t it fair to say that their are people who decide to go into jobs that give them authority because they want to hold themselves above others and abuse authority.
Isn’t it fair to say that if a cop can simply say that he noticed his dog show signs of caution that he may decide to say that whenever he wants to have his way.
Isn’t it fair to say that the reason government creates so many laws is because they want to make it impossible to follow the law.
All of you so called conservatives can be pretty hypocritical. You want small government and low taxes but you want to control every aspect of individuality.
Instead you should consider that the freedom you want to see in economic aspects is impossible if you don’t see it in the domain of the individual.
Here’s all i have to say to anyone who would challenge my right to exist. STAY OUT OF MY WAY.
olddogMay 13th, 2009 - 12:13 pm
I was taught to show respect to any police officer. If he did that instead of trying to act like an ACLU lawyer, he would have gotten out of his car and let the officer do his job. If they found nothing in the car, he would have been on his way. By acting in a provacative way, he was treated like any other person who was acting suspicious.
SpinelessBootlickersMay 13th, 2009 - 12:18 pm
I can’t believe the people making comments here. Just as T0AD NONE of you are aware of your rights.
@kmichaels
REGARDLESS of WHATEVER this guy’s opinions are, regardless or his political ideals. He is still an American citizen and has rights.
I bet you are the type of person that believes “hey if you have nothing to hide then what’s the problem?”
Try reading the US Constitution end to end and maybe just maybe you’ll realize your ignorance.
It pains me to think of the hundreds of thousands who gave their lives for the Constitution and the rights it affords, when jacka$$es like you are so eager to kneel and lick the boots of another person because you think simply because they have a badge on makes them right.
kmichaelsMay 13th, 2009 - 12:58 pm
Spineless moron, yes, he has rights. As do authorities have rights. He had the right to obey the lawful order or to disobey. Once he chose to disobey, he had the right to an attorney, since he was about to get his moronic arse tossed into jail.
Once the dogs reacted, it was probable cause. Once the police officer arrived, was told what happened, he kindly asked the fruitcake to get out of his car. He refused.
This is not rocket science.
If you speed, you have the obligation to hand over your drivers license. He got caught breaking the lawful order and suffered from his own stupidity.
The fact that videos prove that he has done this same stuff on no less than ten different occasions should illustrate that this guy is a bit of a mental case and should be investigated further.
olddogMay 13th, 2009 - 1:09 pm
SB, I know exactly what my rights are during a traffic stop. However, if a trained police dog “hits” when near your vehicle, the courts have ruled that probable cause does exist. Living in Az., I’m well aware of all the drug smuggling that goes on, that’s why we have these dogs working with border patrol. Just because this guy’s a preacher and doesn’t fit the “profile”, doesn’t give him a free pass.
DonMay 13th, 2009 - 1:18 pm
Suspicionless border patrol checkpoints *inside* our borders should have everyone concerned. The cop has no reason whatsoever to be there in the first place. The states tax dollars are not supposed to be spent aiding border patrol. He just “happened” to be there.
Suspicionless checkpoints are only legal to check for sobriety. His words were not slurred, and he showed no other signs of inebriation.
A US citizen is not legally required to answer any questions by border patrol agents inside our country.
While I loath Xians, I must stand up for this man. His 4th Amendment rights were violated when he and his vehicle were seized without a warrant. Article 4 of the Constitution also guarantee’s his right to free travel.
We weren’t subject to these Nazi practices until roughly 2004. Who was President then? Oh yeah, that’s right…
kmichaelsMay 13th, 2009 - 1:34 pm
Hey, Don, lying dweeb, the cop was called in. He did not happen to be there. The idiot fake pastor kept the border patrol there for sixty minutes. Darn Don, do you ever get any facts straight, you idiot terd? Oh, btw, Don, nice anti-christian BS. Dont you ever give it a rest? You are such a moron.

Did you not take an oath to uphold, protect and defend the constitution of the United States of America? Where in that document does any official have the right to stop and search you without cause? Checkpoints are not American, The American way is FREE travel throughout our country. I sure hope you will remember who and what you are suppose to be defending when and if the time ever comes you are asked to “control” the population. I have always had great respect for the military but even in the military you do not blindly follow. One day you may be given a direct order to do something wrong, unconstitutional and unforgivable. Will you follow that order no matter what? or will it depend on if your family is directly effected that would change your mind.
JarheadMay 13th, 2009 - 4:58 pm
You forgot to read the fine print of the Constitution:
*this document is null and void after 250 years, or when the American citizenry has become selfish, babbling sheep, whichever comes first.
See, we uphold the Constitution just fine, just like we pledged to do.

I was stationed in southern California and had to go through the BP checks on I-5, that were between San Diego and Orange County, almost every day. Almost every day I witnessed the BP agents carting off bus loads of illegal immigrants from these check points. It was well worth the inconvenience to me. They are there for a reason. The illegal immigrants, that are illegally entering this country, do not do so by road. But sooner or later, they want to get on a road (usually to meet a coyote), and head as far north as they can. The BP check points located around 100 miles from the border, deter this activity. Do you also feel that it is unconstitutional to have your vehicle searched for fruits and vegetables as you are entering or leaving the State of California? No difference.
Why aren’t you griping about how intrusive our current administration has become? Soon you will buying American cars, getting loans from, and getting medical care from the federal government, how do you feel about those intrusions?
As for following orders, I have every legal right to refuse a direct order that is illegal, immoral or unconstitutional and I would use that right, if ever needed.

Hey, marine, they had cause, border checkpoints are not only legal but approved by most Americans. Probable cause is constitutional and that test was past. The fake pastor failed to show wisdom and illegally refused the requests. Then he paid for his own stupidity.
StalinMay 13th, 2009 - 5:40 pm
You are all wrong. A peace officer has probable (possible) cause anytime he/she see fit. It you Fart or sneeze is possible cause…….comrades, you live in a totalitarian state. Get use to it.

“I have studied this guy thoroughly because there was something odd and untrue about him.”…
Very cool! and thanks for digging deeper! You saved the rest of us from wondering what was “really” going on there. It would be nice if you could give a link or two also. But this guy did have that nut case feel about him and you confirmed it for us.
SpinelessBootlickersMay 13th, 2009 - 7:43 pm
@kmichaels
Did you happen to hear his testimony about how he was treated after he was in custody?
Let me guess you did but you think he is lying right?
I’ll say again you spineless twit, just because someone is wearing a badge doesn’t make them right.
So go ahead and get your tounge ready to lick some boots because I am sure there are a lot of bullies out there that would just LOVE to have someone like you obey like a good little automaton.
BobMay 13th, 2009 - 7:48 pm
You want any cheese with that whine, Pastor? Next time just comply with their requests. It was so obvious that he was trying to, nay, begging the officers to react. In his “telling of the tale”, it’s easy to see that this guy just gets off on being the center of attention and trying to bring down “the man”. No money in his collection plate this week from me.
johMay 13th, 2009 - 8:37 pm
“I’ll say again you spineless twit, just because someone is wearing a badge doesn’t make them right.”
Correct, he needs a gun to be right as well.
KenMay 13th, 2009 - 8:37 pm
I have much respect for the danger that our police officers do in the line of duty. The fact is this man was stopped, harassed, assaulted, and had his freedom infringed upon. The truth is there is a mind set in police that allows them to exert dominance over people inappropriately at times when training should have kicked in. This man was physically abused by the ease of the use of the worst tool the police ever acquired, the taser. Tasers were not issued to subdue non compliant non violent persons. They have become a crutch and a torture tool for police. We as citizens should be outraged by this. If a cop says stop you better stop or he’ll shoot you. that should be the message. It has become if a cop says do what I say and you don’t he’ll torture you and save his strength. Cops in this country need to be stripped of this tool and go back to phys-ed and personal communications school.
ohohMay 13th, 2009 - 8:49 pm
If he was really a decent upstanding guy he would have complied with the officers commands, and fought it out it court if he really thought his rights were violated. No, he chose to make a show of it because he “happened” to have his camcorder on him. He did not have the right to resist the lawful order of a police officer during a police investigation (i.e. the dog hit on his car). Anyone who doesn’t believe that knows little to nothing about what the law actually says.
KenoMay 18th, 2009 - 8:27 am
Probable cause only means the officer can ask for a warrent from a judge. It does not mean that an officer can just search anything he sees fit. The man was unlawfully detained and stuck to his constitutional rights to be free from unlawful search and seizure. Read our Constitution and Declaration of Independence, we are in a much worse state than that which we rebelled from in 1776. We in law enforcement do not have the right to just order “free” people around. Period.
KenoMay 18th, 2009 - 8:44 am
4th Amendment”The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”
