Obviously, over time (for a progression of reasons) this has morphed into a system where party leaders are beholding to everyone but their constituents. Parties don’t have platforms, hell they hardly have core beliefs, and backing any politician is a crap shoot. If we want change, we need to get back control of our parties, we need to speak up, be involved, and let those elected to represent us know we are holding them accountable. Only then will slime like this fool and his band of nuts be marginalized.

The zinger is when Beck showed a video of burger king employee bathing in a kitchen sink. Becks point was that one employee doing it and was fired immediately shows that it was a problem with the employee.

Beck correctly pointed out that if 40 employees were doing it, then it is a problem with management.

The spokesman for ACORN said, how can you compare the two. This in and of itself shows how incapable of thought the ACORN spokesman was. The comparison is clear. Widespread bad employee action as a habit and left unguided and rampant is a sign of a lack of concern or an approval of management.

ACORN does not want to admit that they do not control illegal activities of their employees and that their organization is rampant in criminal activity.

The other key issue is that now, billions of taxpayer dollars are now available to this leftist organization to promote one political party.

Yes, modern mormons do have some restrictions on eathing meat. But it is one of being practical. Joseph Smith revealed what is known as the word of wisdom. It says to only eat meat in times of famine or in winter. It says to eat meat sparingly. In mordern times the idea of eating meat sparingly continues to this day, but LDS are not restricted to eating meat just during winter or famine as much as just making sure that they eat it sparingly. Modern science backs up the idea that not eating too much meat is a good thing.

But none of this has anything to do with my question to mark about where the people of Lehi were asked not to eat meat and more importantly why.
