This is what goes on with white house pages at the hand’s of BARNEY FRANK. Don’t let barney’s lisp fool you he and his liberal nut job pals in Washington are gona do the American people the same way. A love connection with Al Gore and Barney Frank could solve the whole dilemma, those two could run off to France and spend their days in quiet seclusion roaming from antique store, to antique store until they find that perfect nick knack to grace their night stand back at their villa. Yes a love story for the ages.

I guess the murdering terrorists in Gitmo had it easier after all.

Gandhi's Fist   April 26th, 2009 - 11:46 am

I wonder if he would have preferred waterboarding? Naaa, that is far crueler than this–right?

Observer   April 26th, 2009 - 12:57 pm

That shiek has been watching too many Hollywood movies cranked out by the Obama supporters.

Hollywood movies from the drug induced. Where else can you come up with wierd torture ideas like that.

Terry   April 26th, 2009 - 1:31 pm

What moral authority would we have to get involved while our government has done the same? Israel does much worse than this and we not only turn a blind eye to it, but give them BILLIONS of dollars every year while we are deeply in debt.

Obamas minions want to equate our treatment of prisoners to this…. What we did to people was not long lasting… the prisoners lived to see their family again. It’s more a big mind game than anything. waterboarding gives the illusion that your drowning. “illusion” is the key here.

What all of this comes down to is the absolute, pure, burning hatred for Bush. Liberals want mnothing more than to punish Bush in anyway possible.

When they go digging they will find more than they want to find. Many libs will be implicated too. It’s all just BS.

That’s nothing – my Mom washed my mouth out with soap once.

Oliver   April 29th, 2009 - 8:41 am

Firstly, granted Dubai has got it’s fair share of problems, however when you compare what happened to this poor man in this video to the toture which the US carried out at facilities like Guantanamo bay, it doesn’t even come close. To acuse a city as safe as Dubai is (in comparison to any other major city in the world, i.e. London, New York, even Tokyo) it is a hell of a lot safer. Don’t be so naive that you honestly once thought that terrible things like this didn’t happen in Dubai, it’s only because Dubai is so heavily censored that we didn’t hear about it. I am in no way saying what happened this this poor man is plausible, but I am saying that perhaps you need to open your eyes to the world around you and concentrate less on making Dubai look bad just because it’s Dubai. At least I know that I stand a hell of a lot better chance of not being happy slapped or mugged when I leave my house in Dubai to the gym compared to leaving my flat in London.

Misty   April 29th, 2009 - 4:03 pm

What Torture?? This looks like any Saturday night in San Francisco USA. Any bath house in San disgusting Franciso carries out this scene repeatedly. Obviously the Arabs have been to San Fran on any Saturday night and they liked it!

Mark   April 29th, 2009 - 5:48 pm

Oliver – please limit yourself to one glass of kool-aid / day maximum. I know it’s tasty, but the side-effects include delusions and voting democrat,

Chef Shane   April 29th, 2009 - 9:43 pm

That’s just TERRIBLE. They are following the example of the World’s greatest ex champion of Democracy. The USA has been doing worse than this on a regular basis – since WELL BEFORE Bush got into office. But he was stupid enough to publicly endorse it.
“Yeeha, lets kick some rag-head ass?” Or something equally as Texan and populist in a country fed on media spin.

And now the US has the temerity to appear shocked and horrified that somewhere in the world, these things happen?

The US is now the largest, most powerful and most prominent proponent of institutionalised torture thanks to their last President.

Well, I have lived in Dubai for 3.5 years. Safe, content and peaceful.
I wouldn’t have the courage to spend a year in Detroit or DC.
UAE must be doing something right.
Murderers, rapists, drug smugglers, theives and criminals don’t get off on technicalities in Dubai and spread their poison to other innocent people.
Maybe this is why?
Now I am following the US strong lead – maybe there IS a benefit in trampling some human rights for the good of the society.

I think US cannot rightfully comment after their own Governments performance of the last 7 years.
Perhaps someone Swiss would care to make a call.
The US no longer has any moral leg to stand on when it comes to condemning torture
