Governor Says Texas Can Leave Union If It Wants

"Texas is a unique place. When we came into the union in 1845, one of the issues was that we would be able to leave if we decided to do that," Perry said. "My hope is that America and Washington in particular pays attention. We've got a great union. There's absolutely no reason to dissolve it. But if Washington continues to thumb their nose at the American people, who knows what may come of that."

When Columbian drug lords take Austin, San Antonio, Dallas and Houston….don’t come whining for PROTECTION, give Tom Delay a rocket propelled laucher, and take it like a MAN…Tom knows about taking it that way. he never went anywhere in DC without his fey cufflinks pedophile Mark Foley and David Dreier.
btw. that oil TX has won’t do you much good with the distilleries in AMERICA (Louisiana.)

America…let’s be careful before we jump on the bandwagon with Governor Perry. It was reported that “he” was in attendance at the secret Bilderberg Meeting in Instanbul in 2007!
=========================================

America…can we ever trust another politician again?

Recently I posted a video regarding the secret society known as the Bilderberg Society. Made up of world leaders of countries, banks and financial institutions from around the world. Both the Bushes, the Clintons, Geithner, Kissinger, Obama and others are members…to name just a few.

Obama was hand picked to lead this country so that he can usher in the New World Order. Henry Kissinger, also a member, was the one who said it on that tape.

The Governor of Texas, Rick Perry, was in attendance at the meeting of the Bilderberg in Istanbul Turkey and here is what was said about him.

“Rick Perry is a new face in the 2007 meetings. He is the governor of Texas whose liaison office recognized that he was in the Istanbul meetings. Tucker believes that Bilderberg has considered him the practical president of America . Tucker said that if Perry participates in the next years
Bilderberg meetings he can be considered one of the most likely to enter the White House in the future.”

Read it yourself at:

1. Type in your search engine: Bilderberg Society

2. Then click on the article a little ways down titled ” The essence of the Bilderberg secret society: the hidden …

Here is an additional video posted on YouTube of a Dutch TV station talking about that meeting!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qcjk0_wj7Do

America…we must we aware of what is taking place here in America and around the world.

This group of individuals are seeking to destroy the world economy and take it over.

Saul Alinsky Obama is just the puppet of the real puppetmasters…the Bilderberg Society!

AMERICA…KNOWLEDGE IS POWER. GET THE POWER…READ UP ON WHAT IS TAKING PLACE!

AN INFORMED PEOPLE CANNOT BE DUPED…THAT IS WHAT HAPPENED IN THE LAST ELECTION.

==============================

GOD BLESS AMERICA…THE LAND OF THE FREE AND THE HOME OF THE BRAVE…MAY OUR CHRISTIAN GOD CONTINUE TO BLESS OUR GREAT NATION AS WE LOOK TO HIM IN PRAYER!

Let all us southern states leave the UNION. We don’t want gay marriage(we got it), we don’t want affirmative action for blacks(we got it), we do want gangster blacks ruining our towns(we got it), we don’t want higher taxes(we got it), we dont want internet porn(we got it),we dont want abortion on demand(we got it).Northern black/jewish culture is polluting our naturally conservative values and we are sick of it.We are breaking the chains of bondage!!!

I think people forget this country is made up of United States and not a central government. The Federal Government is supposed to provide protection from enemies foreign and domestic not provide food, shelter, retirement, medical, etc. Nothing in the Constitution says anything about the RIGHT to happiness it says the RIGHT to PURSUE happiness.

Government has gotten too powerfull and we are in danger of losing control of our country by the people for the people. The Texas Governor may sound extreme in his comments, but this country is a UNION of States.

[...] Breitbart has the audio if you’re curious, but here’s the gist of it: Perry called his supporters patriots. Later, answering news reporters’ questions, Perry suggested Texans might at some point get so fed up they would want to secede from the union, though he said he sees no reason why Texas should do that. [...]

My God!!!!! Will my dreams never stop coming true!!!

No more Texas?? Let me pinch my self… Yes!! It’s not a dream!!

Let’s get a big ribbon to put on Texas, give it back to Mexico, and start building a nice new border fence.

Remember the Alamo!!! – Mexico won

Tubby   April 15th, 2009 - 7:57 pm

Lawrence Dowining, I applaude you!!! Your words are well said and should be re-read by these lefwing people posting on this site.

The 10th ammendment of the constitution says just what you said. Too bad none of our leftwing friends ever want to admit that.

States should have more say in whats good for them and how to conduct their own affairs.

As long as the states are not depriving any citizens of their liberty under the laws crafted by elected officials guided by the words of the constitiution (state and federal) then the Federal government needs to back off.

Gee. i wish I could edit my original comment.. which I’ll restate, becuase I messed up what the 20 y/o is going to pay..
======

You scoffers can stay..

• If you’re a 50-year old-with a college degree, you will pay approximately $81,000 over your working life just to pay the interest on the debt in the Obama budget.

• If you’re a 40-year-old, you’ll pay $132,000.

• And if you’re a 20-year-old, just starting out after college, you will pay a whopping $1,140,000 just to service the interest on the debt created by the Obama budget.
=========

I’ll move to the Free State of the Republic of Texas.

Perry is a freaking idiot. Texas does NOT have the right to secede from the United States. That is an urban legend. Texas does have the right to break into 4 additional states but why would they do that?

This traitor should be impeached immediately.

Good point, hence the rationale for the tea parties. People just think a trillion is a number, yet if they attempted, they’d be hard pressed to consider just how much that is.

To give some perspective, take that trillion projected for the stimulus, convert each dollar to a second. There are 30758400 seconds in a year, dividing the original trillion with that number gives us 3,251,144.4 years. If we were to go back in time that far we’d meet an early ancestor of man known as Australopithecus. That is only if we converted ever dollar for a second! A trillion dollars is a gigantic amount and not warranted. Everyone should be in arms about it and a whole load more skeptical of those who want to extract it from us. They banking on the fact, they’ll be dead and buried when the bill comes due. You will too, but what of those future taxpayers? When I look at this crowd in congress all I see are a bunch of Harry Madoffs.

Even the Australopithecus had more sense than this.

TX won’t get to seceed, we’re gonna auction off the LOSER parasite states on ebay
buh bye….OK,AR,SD,AL,ID,MS,ND….and TX

James K   April 15th, 2009 - 10:48 pm

If the great state of Texas seceds then I will have to take the opinion of a great past representative of the district and state in which I live:

“you may all go to hell, and I will go to Texas.”

-Davey Crockett

Larse   April 15th, 2009 - 11:35 pm

“Davy” (David) Crockett did go to Texas. He died at the Alamo…

James K   April 15th, 2009 - 11:48 pm

Whoops, thanks Larse, I had a little misspelling going on there.

He also said, “We have the right as individuals to give away as much of our own money as we please in charity; but as members of Congress we have no right to appropriate a dollar of the public money.”

Reminds me of a President Grover Cleveland quote . . .

“I can find no warrant for such an appropriation in the Constitution, and I do not believe that the power and duty of the General Government ought to be extended to the relief of individual suffering which is in no manner properly related to the public service or benefit.”

Anyway Larse, I mean that I would not only take Davy’s opinion but also his example in leaving these United States and the great state of Tennessee (which I dearly love) in the most capable hands of those who subscribe to the progressive/socialist philosophy.

From Mark “TX won’t get to seceed, we’re gonna auction off the LOSER parasite states on ebay
buh bye….OK,AR,SD,AL,ID,MS,ND….and TX”

Texas is one of the few states that send more money to Washington than it receives which means you would’t know a loser if it hit you in the face!
The other states you lumped us with are solid well run forms of govt. that are actually SOLVENT.
I think Texas is in very good company with them.

This leads me to believe that you live in a true loser state drowning in debt – Like CA, MA, MI, NJ, PA, IL and OH.

Larse   April 16th, 2009 - 12:39 am

But James, why run away just because you don’t like it… I see that so much. Change does not happen by running away. America is great because people don’t run away. If you don’t like things, fight to change them.

“”I told the people of my district that I would serve them as faithfully as I had done; but if not … you may all go to hell, and I will go to Texas.” Following his defeat, he did just that.” – and then he died…

Unless you are Jesse Owens, running will only deliver you into the next mess faster…

Stay put. Hard times are not a reason to run, only a reason to fight! You may not be able the change anything, but maybe you will. And people that do change things don’t run away from a fight.

It does not hurt. Sitting in the new country of Texicana south of the 49 States Of America, or still sitting in Tennessee is just the same. If your are feeling the America is all screwed up while everyone else thinks these are the best times ever, consider that you might be wrong ;)

If you need a little ‘I love America’ lifter upper. Take a trip to Mexico, NOT the tourist traps, but the real country were kids starve to death 10 miles south of America. Or go to Somalia where there is not a lot of government and you will fear for your life every second from them pirates!!! Yeak!!!! You will come back feeling REAL PATRIOTIC there buddy!! :D

The reason the grass is so green over there is because their S@@@ is a whole lot deeper…

Larse   April 16th, 2009 - 1:14 am

My thanks to the Bart Mods ;) The life of the moderator is always intense!! I did that on the net while you all were still in little grade school. I feel for you after spending countless nights up four 8 years doing it. I always try to be real ‘good’ though ;)

But I am trying to encourage a few more people with real “brains” here. Maybe just so I can enjoy fighting with them on the keyboard :D

Larse

James K   April 16th, 2009 - 1:25 am

Well Larse, you surprise me. That’s the best damn argument I’ve ever seen you give on Breitbart.

Oh believe me, having been to my local Tea Party today, I’m feeling pretty patriotic.

However I’d rather die free than live in an America that has turned despotic. Lots of people left (ran from) Germany when things turned south there too you know. Like you have shown, up till now there has been no reason to run from America.

But you’re right and I’ll concede that, just as Rick Perry said, we still have a great union and no reason to secede at the moment. I’ll fight to keep it, and die to keep it if necessary. But if I’ve fought as hard as I can and still live to see it turn south, then don’t expect me to stay.

Liberal jagoffs like MARK are exactly the types of morons who are destroying this country.

Hey I think all the southern states should leave the Union. I am all for it. It Texas leaves, I am moving to Texas. The South Shall Rise again.

John   April 16th, 2009 - 9:41 am

I think Governor Perry has a point. There’s certainly nothing in the Constitution that prohibits secession and frankly, given some of the arrogant comments I’ve read in this string, I’m interested in seeing just who would survive without whom.

I moved to NYC to marry in 2005. With income taxes at the City, State, and Federal level just to start, I was skipping meals to make the budget work long before the gas prices shot out of control last year. I had hard times back home before but I never had to do without. In the meantime, here in NYS Governor Patterson is calling for even higher taxes. It’s just a matter of time before enough of the people who work get fed up enough and leave.

For the person who stated that Texas should not call for help when the drug wars cross over, always remember: that sort of thing works both ways, and I sure as hell don’t see long lines at the recruiting office in Times Square.

David H.   April 16th, 2009 - 9:46 am

With the exception of Austin, we in Texas are quite Conservative. I for one am offended by having liberal (lack of) values forced upon me by the federal government.

Isssues I s rongly diaagree with:

1. Welfare for generations- you must work to advance
2. Gun control
3. Gay rights- why should they have more than the rest of us?
4. Federal Mandates in order to receive the $$ we sent them-ie: prison regulations, speed limits, etc.

I could write all day on this, but I will not, I am not a politician.

Governor Perry has made a bolt move, and I stand beside him waving the Texas Flag.

Larse, mark, you other drooling obamabots. ESAD.

Rick   April 16th, 2009 - 10:15 am

To all you Texas bashers keep this in mind
1. Texans want border control. We want a fence and more people on the border. The Feds are the ones holding things up.

2. Texas CAN leave the union. That is a fact. Texas can survive with no problem without liberal states trying to dictate how we should live. And lets not forget all the oil proccesing plants in the Houston area and Corpus Christi area. So you see we don’t need you liberal states at all.

3. Last year Texas created %70 of all jobs created in the United States. %70 people!

There is more but I think that anyone with half a brain (sorry liberals I know this excludes you) can see Texas would be just fine.
As for the reports shown by “Mark” they are for a Globalization which I for one do not want a one world order. One last thing I can’t seem to get a truthful or sane answer for, Why do liberals want to destroy everything that has made our Country great? Why do they feel that everyone else should pay for them? Its my money, keep your to lazy to earn it yourself hands OFF!!

Bill Airs   April 16th, 2009 - 10:20 am

Yeah right, this has more to due with Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison running for governor in 2010 than anything else.
He didn,t complain about the the government when he was hat in hand asking fema for hurricane relief.
He said and I quote” All along, we have simply asked that Texas receive the same considerations afforded Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina”
Same thing with the wild fires in Texas.

ShirleyJ   April 16th, 2009 - 10:33 am

GOOD BYE TEXAS! We won’t miss you. As you leave, just remember that it was former President George Bush who left the enormous deficit and debt that you are complaining about. The recession also began during his presidency and now Obama has to clean it up. So, when you leave, take Perry and Bush along with you. Happy Trails!

nylon66   April 16th, 2009 - 11:04 am

If Texas goes you can be sure other states will follow and I count my state (Virginia) as one of them. It’s a idea that’s time has come…..Again! Talk about history repeating itself.

For years the Federal Government under both parties has worked toward making it’s “subjects” into a submissive society bellying up to the Federal slop bucket for subsistence and micro-managing our everyday lives. They take our taxes to do it. What’s to like and be loyal to about that?

Personally I have no reason to give my allegiance or support through taxes to a government that strives to take away the freedoms from it’s citizens. Oh, it’s not all at once to be sure but it’s a death of a thousand cuts.

I would be much happier to be shed of the Feds altogether and take my chances in a loose Confederation of like minded States.

Perhaps the “Anointed One” will get his chance to see how much like Lincoln he can be.

kmichaels   April 16th, 2009 - 11:04 am

Note to drooling idiot Bill Airs, ahem, Texas gives more tax money into the USA than it receives. So yes, retarded limp brained Obamabot, Texas has a right to ask for some of its own tax money back. Now go drool somewhere else for a change.

Stacie Hendrix   April 16th, 2009 - 11:31 am

I love this! Why can’t Alabama’s governor fight for things that matter instead of worrying over slot machines? I want to pack up my family and move to Texas.
THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT NEEDS TO WAKE UP – REPUBLICANS AND DEMOCRATS BOTH!!! We are Americans, not Republicans and not Democrats – WE ARE FED UP!!!! I’M FOR FIRING EVERYONE IN CONGRESS AND THE SENATE AND STARTING OVER.

Jim   April 16th, 2009 - 11:31 am

One of millions

I stood by and watched, while an American elected President manipulated our stock market and drove it down at a record pace, to set the stage for his party`s radical agenda. This just didn`t happen, it was conceived, planned and executed perfectly. Surely this couldn`t happen with all the knowledge we possess in the halls of congress. There was a reason our founding fathers set term limits. We the people did not vote to extend these limits. We the people did not vote on or approve unbelievable raises for politicians, who think there are some things you just don`t let them vote on.
Does anyone remember or care about the millions of Americans that fought and died to preserve this great nation? I`m no Einstein, but when a motor starts to billion and trillion you to death you get a new car. When the American government helped Columbia rid their country of the drug cartels and establish law and order. Like any criminal organization, they relocated. Where the environment is more suitable to their needs. (Mexico) The effectiveness at which this administration attacks our constitution is deliberate and precise. The second Amendment right to keep and bear arms is to insure our right of preservation from enemies both foreign and domestic. Weapons and drugs continued to flow freely from Mexico`s southern borders, not without the assistance from corrupt police and government.
I stand by and watch while this President gives away the sovereignty of our nation. I was taught there was a system of checks and balances. It`s broke. Demand that politicians serve the greater good of our country and its people and not their lust for power. Some say the American people are ignorant, I say mislead. I pray to my Christian God that my country was founded upon, we can with stand the time it will take to get our country back. We are a Democracy. I will continue to teach my children that lying is wrong and honesty is right.
I stand ready and waiting as the men and women before me, to defend the Constitution of the United States of America and the rights of her people against enemies foreign and domestic. Unlike those in Washington, that oath I took was for life.

V/R American Patriot

PS Take the rest of the Country with you. They will follow. Should have stayed in texas.

Dotemptus   April 16th, 2009 - 12:03 pm

Don’t tempt Texas to leave the union! Those of you who are preaching “good riddance” need to take a look at how much TEXAS contributes to the U.S. economy – and how much TEXAS contributes to the federal budget in terms of income taxes. We don’t need the Louisiana “distillaries” (we call them refineries!) because we have our own. We also have our own national guard and guess what, we own our own guns. We have low taxes, create jobs, help one another, give to charity and are still able to embrace religion, the right to life, and individual liberty. By the way, we know how to balance our state budget and we don’t buy things that we can’t afford. Some of you need to take a lesson!

Jon Brooks   April 16th, 2009 - 12:05 pm

I think that the current adminstration should be less worried about veterans after they get out and more worried about active military members, In short the possibility of our first military coup grows daily especially with the current administration in power. The talk of potential succession of states just seems to underscore this possibility. I therefore predict a military coup long before any actual succession of states. I can see a bunch of patriotic texans
however staging a “for the media” book burning of Saul Alinskys works though, to throw the moniker of terrorist sympathizer back into obambis and his administrations face. Hint hint..wink wink:)

JEFF FOR TEX   April 16th, 2009 - 12:19 pm

Economeomy   April 16th, 2009 - 1:43 pm

For those of you who keep saying that “all the deficit” is attributable to BUSH, you need to get a reality check. Obama’s spending MORE than ALL the combined spending for under ALL presidents from Washington to Bush. How can you possibly face yourselves in the mirror when you keep saying this is all Bush’s fault. Bush didn’t cram the PORKULUS bill through Congress – the bill that no one read. Bush didn’t force Fannie and Freddie to keep lending – CONGRESS DID!! You idiots. Wake up and smell the coffee.

Margie Mae   April 16th, 2009 - 2:53 pm

Jmilty   April 16th, 2009 - 3:15 pm

I totally support state’s rights as primary over centralized government. The “representative” form of government fostered by the federals only makes sense to people too ignorant and blissfully unaware to recognize the truth when it’s told to them. I wish most of the state would secede.

James K   April 16th, 2009 - 3:48 pm

Will Texas become Galt’s Gulch? Please yes!

Irisdavenport   April 16th, 2009 - 4:11 pm

heather   April 16th, 2009 - 4:45 pm

Let me tell you something about Texas, we have 65% of military, we refine 75% of oil and gas, we have are own power grid, we have three of the largest ports, agriculture, I could keep on going. What can your state do? Oh and by the way most computer microchips are manufactured in Texas. So go ahead and laugh, because we will get the last laugh at you uneducated idiots.

Go Texas! SC will be right there with you. All of the ignorant elitists can have the socialist utopia they so desperately crave and deserve. That goes for those wishing Texas good riddance in the comments here. You sheep are really a hoot. I actually enjoy watching your stupidity and arrogance lead you to slaughter because you’re so arrogant and yet utterly clueless at the same time. The South IS Rising! God Bless Dixieland! I pity these poor fools. They’ve been wrong about everything for years and now they’re the most wrong at the worst time one could ever be wrong. I can’t wait to see the look on their faces when their tax bases shrink rapidly as companies relocate to pro commerce RED states. Their urban areas and manufacturing bases have been sold out by the very government and politicians that they worship. There is nothing left for them, not even farmable land. You fools have no idea how doomed you really are. Enjoy the Soylent Green as I hear that it goes well with humble pie. You’re all pathetic cowards and I laughingly mock you.

ondroad   April 17th, 2009 - 1:17 am

Anyone who knows the US Constitution knows that secession IS an option, every state is just that a STATE – a self-governing body who has agreed to join with the other states to form a federation. It is not much different as being a state member of the UN, as the US currently is. For the US Govt to keep a state from departing the USA would be the same as the UN trying to keep the USA from leaving its membership and kicking the UN off of US soil. Problem is most Americans, well at least many who respond to this site, don’t know the constitution. But I’m sure, there will be plenty of ignorant comments to my comments to. Oh well. Texans, if you want to leave the union, it is your prerogative. I hope you won’t but it is your right.

Perry is already back peddlin from that IGNORANT remark, and Kay Bailey Hutchinson will take advantage of his HUGE blunder, and CREAM him.
Democrats should poll Texans about whether they want to leave America, and show what a tiny minority, less than 10% FRINGE nut jobs Perry represents.

Hey Mark, if you hardly notice Texas then why are your panties in a knot you female dog? Why don’t you come out of the cupboard, put your apron on and confront your inner skirt? I can’t wait to dial you up on google earth when they are feeding you and your so-stupid-it-qualifies-as-tragicomedy ilk Soylent Green. You’ll have no where to run and nowhere to hide you pathetic little ‘zotch. Find another brain cell so you can rub both of them together.

kmichaels, you are one of the most ignorant people who post here.Thats why you can,t do anything but name call.

ondroad is correct. Many who respond here don,t know the facts so they just name call instead.

When Texas entered the union in 1845 it was with the understanding it could pull out. However, according to the Texas State Library and Archives Commission, Texas negotiated the power to divide into four additional states at some
point if it wanted to but not the right to secede

Perry is running for re-election against U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison who is moderate and could attract Democrates,Buckley Republicans and minorities.People any Republican with good sense know they need in order to win.
Perry can forget a national run with that whack job rhetoric.
Btw the lastest poll on Texas secession 75% say no to secession.

Kay Bailey Hutchison/2010
