After a week of denouncing his own country on every stop he’s made, he has the audacity to stop in Iraq trying to act like a commander and chief?? It sickens me to the core! This man’s ego is so out of control I want to scream. His arrogance is what led him to Iraq. I’m just sorry he received such a warm welcome. I’m still trying to figure out why he wants to be POTUS when he so blatantly dislikes America!!

WHAT THE MORON COGNITIVE PISSIDENT seems to miss time and again is that Obama was very very very weak on lending any kind of support in our efforts in Iraq, so it is his disingenuous now that is so dishonest and bogus. Not only did Obama hope that Bush would fail in Iraq but so did most other liberals. And I suspect you yourself were a real lame arse about the whole Iraqi thing, also hoping for failure with the standard liberal angst of being proven wrong about Iraq. You self-serving liberal twits made Iraq an issue of politics in order to enhance your propped up image. Now, Obama will not hesitate to take credit for anything good that happens to Iraq.

I am neither a fan nor supporter of Obama but:
-If you read about current defense spending, Obama is canceling expensive non-functioning defense contracts (ie F-22) and redirecting that money to the troops in the form of health care for wounded, and equipment that is known to work. He also authorized 16 army brigades to stand at full troop levels. Usually they just summon up reserves.
- Its his job to visit the troops. Like him or not the troops expect him to show his face in-country once in awhile.
Oh yeah…Saul…tell them “it’s time to turn over a “free” Iraq to the now “free” Iraqis!…and then don’t forget to tell them…”now on to Afghanistan!”
Iraq is successful because the “surge” worked…but you have never admitted that…because it wasn’t under your watch!
Now, being the hypocrite you are, you show up to support the troops and to thank them for making the surge successful!
America…we need that birth certificate and now!

I am a conservative who did not vote for him and am against 99.99% of his policies, but I do think that he is listening to Robert Gates and is doing some good things for the military. He is wrong about Iran of course, but I think he does have an intelligent and open mind to what the military leaders have to say. Let’s pick and choose our battles wisely. If by a slim chance Obama does do something right, let’s at least acknowledge that instead of the common knee-jerk reactions.

We have 3 relatives in Iraq, they all want to come home (Brother-in-Law is on his 3rd tour and barely knows his 5 year old daughter.) and they all voted for, and continue to support President Obama. 69% of US Troops polled in Iraq are pleased with his performance so far. So who are all of you people saying that he doesn’t have the support of the troops? Definitely not military.

The $533.7 billion Department of Defense budget also would expand funding for disabled veterans, allowing more to receive retirement pay and disability compensation at the same time.
