What do the Republicans want for a budget? The exact same one we had the last ten years. Tax cuts for the rich while those of us who do the real work pay for everything. Families just getting by are now suffering because of the greed of those few at the top and all I hear out of Republicans is “So what? Let them fail. If they go under/homeless or have to resort to criminal behavior to survive it’s not my concern and I don’t want to be forced to share any of my earnings with any of them for any socialistic reason.
Socialists mainly share the belief that capitalism unfairly concentrates power and wealth among a small segment of society that controls capital, creates an unequal society, and does not provide equal opportunities for everyone in that society. CEO/corporate greed is what largely caused the downfall of our economy and it’s something those who live off the actual work of others are loathe to give up.
This guy has a reported salary of $31.25 million a year. Of course Rush Limbaugh doesn’t like this budget! It taxes him! It forces him and his rich buddies to share with the vast majority of people who have been supporting him for years.

Economic growth and financial problems occurred ONLY AFTER the dems took over the majority.

The Dems make things worse, but Bush was laying a poor foundation for the economy by spending us out of our wallets and into China’s. He was not a fiscal conservative as he claimed— more of a spender and a borrower. It was not necessary, and it has set us up. We are in a tight spot, and he did a lot to get us here. He wanted to reach out to the Dems every second and show that he was a real bi-partisan, and that backfired. Unlike Obama or most other Dems, Bush really did cross the aisle, much to our chagrin.
There were things to like about Bush, but he made a string of poor decisions that have— and will continue to have— major ramifications. One of these ramifications is that we have an ultra-far-left liberal in the Oval Office…
Yeah, the Republicans are weak right now but the Democrats are outright DIABOLICAL. There’s a difference. Democrats act like the Republicans acted in a vacuum to increase the deficit and then they get into power and triple the deficit in two months! Come on, libs, at least be consistent and not hypocritical: Democrats have had a chance to stop wasteful spending and reign in the budget but they are like drunken sailors and there’s no checks and balances right now to prevent them from building their socialist utopia and destroying America in the process.

Gregus, you wont find many republicans raving about Bush and his spending. However, it is still very true that the economy in general did quite well under him. The subprime problem was decades in the making and was supported and enabled primarily by Democrats, like Carter, Clinton, Dodd, Franks, Pelosi, etc. Even the deregulation that dems complain about was supported and signed into law by Bill Clinton.
Bush should have done more to shut down Fannie and Freddie but did not have the strength to do so.
Bush also had lost alot of rep support in being way too loose on spending.
When Bush was so gungho about bailouts was when we knew that we could not count on him. And McCain made a pretty weak effort in slowing down bailouts.
But we ended up with the worst possible president at the worst time in that pansified self-serving Obama. It is amazing how stupid US voters are to put that empty suit glory hound into power.

The subprime mortgage situation was brought to you by Democrats politically, but it was also a situation taken advantage of by all sorts of people… The economy did well under Bush post 9-11 due largely to Greenspan’s lowering of the interest rate. It was kept low for too long, however, and added to a bubble that was already there.

I say all politicians ought to be removed from office so we can start over with a fresh batch. Current office-holders can be sent to work picking up trash from the highways, with Obama as their organizer. Confrontational evangelism is the evangelism of choice in conservative churches today because it offers an outlet through which members can use their energy, passion and talents not to minister to individual souls (who may or may not be receptive or grateful), but to work with others in order to make a tangible difference in the way all Americans behave. The assumption-and it’s a big one-is this: If you change the behavior, the souls will follow. If you forcibly alter American culture, it will become more Christian. If you change the laws, it will lead to a change of heart for millions of Americans.
Since Mr. Bush became president, another related assumption has shifted from the fringe to the center of conservative Christianity: If you change American culture by whatever means necessary, God will protect it from harm. If you don’t, expect another 9/11.

For Jesus, it is not your name that is being disparaged, and it is not just whites disparaging you. You seem a bit racist when you say such stupid things.

Most people say that he is a radical. Which is accurate. He is also referred to as a person wishing to establish socialism, which also appears to be true. Technically he was Muslim in his youth and nobody knows for sure what he really is now, from a religious viewpoint, but he did tend to pal around with radicals and terrorists for most of his life.

Actually, nobody is seriously saying that is his name. If you had any brains you would understand that he is referred to that way because he seems to follow some of the radical tricks and techniques promoted by the radical self-serving Saul Alinsky.

Whether it is part of his official agenda or not cannot be known since we cannot get into his sick and twisted mind. The fact that he is sick and twisted and will lead to the destruction of American can be determined by what he actually does. What he does is drastically different from what he said he would do so that makes him a proven liar. And what he does politically is most definitely on track to destroy America.
