White House Press Corps Expresses Irritation Over Press Secretary’s Perpetual Tardiness

TVNewser: The briefing began about 20 minutes after the two minute warning was given and that ABC's Jake Tapper "had taken charge with two visits to the Lower Press office to complain during the long wait." By the time Gibbs arrived, members of the press corps could be heard complaining saying things like, "it irritates everybody here." We hear the late briefings are a pattern, and that it was not an issue during the Bush administration.

Didn’t the Clinton white house also show up late constantly, or was that just Clinton himself? Really can’t remember. In the 90s I treated news about Clinton like I did news about OJ, and Michael Jackson… just “change” the damn channel.

Who cares? If he’s 20 minutes late of notifying us of Obama’s next grand plan, that’s 20 more minutes of freedom that is about to be lost.

Pres Bush RESPECTED the Office of President and the professionals in the media.

Something this President and his Admin do not. He’s a snob, an ELITIST. He’s rude.

Evidentally, so did previous Republican Presidents according to other comments here about Clinton.

No respect. So, do they deserve it in return?
What say you?

ooops, meant to compare the DEMS – by their perpetual tardiness they were rude and they showed no respect for the media (those the media just LOVE the Dems).

The REPs – prompt, polite, timely, professionals, who honored the Office of the President with their habits, and their expectations of their staff and admin.

Enough said.

The left has SNL to do that.
It also has ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, NY Times, LA Times, etc
