Do these protesters have the same passion for the seals to live in freedom as the right of the unborn babies have a right to live in freedom?

======================================
=
= 30 MILLION CHILDREN ARE ABORTED
= AROUND THE WORLD EVERY SINGLE YEAR
= AND THESE PEOPLE ARE WORRIED ABOUT SEALS?
=
======================================
Why do so many protest cruel treatment of animals but allow cruel treatment of humans?

The simulated blood reminds me of the dismemberment needed to extract the child from the womb.

I sure hope that red dye #5 has some sunscreen in it or I’ll be protesting the murder of countless Aloe Vera plants that they used to recover from all those burnt body parts! OUCH!!!

This is from the same folks that bring us bullfighting (i.e. the drawn-out torture of a bull for public amusement).

Sam   March 16th, 2009 - 1:40 pm

Sigh. How is this at all relevant to abortion? And for all we know, these people might all be pro-lifers. Stop being idiots.

peter c   March 16th, 2009 - 1:55 pm

Sam…PETA has said over and over that they support abortion. And 99% of animal rights groups feel the same.
It is appalling to see these atheists nude for seals and not lift a finger to stop abortion…especially partial birth abortions.
Also when I was in Goose Bay Labrador I ate Seal meat cooked in different ways…Because it was the only meat available when in Winter no ships can get in there and planes with meat( expensive meat) came only once a week.
The Native Indians ate it..The White Canadians ate it. So, will these Seal lovers send affordable meat to Goose Bay and other places to replace Seat meat? I don’t think so.They would rather watch them starve so the seals can multiply.

TEXAN   March 16th, 2009 - 1:55 pm

Sam the Simpleton. The point Phillip is making is the amount of media coverage heaped on this nonsense versus the lack of any compassion for the unborn. Funny how one culture of death towards animals is appalled while those same appalled people could care less about a human life.

There is no comparison!   March 16th, 2009 - 2:02 pm

The slaughter of seal pups is brutal and senseless. Abortions serve a purpose for those who choose to have them. A seal has an awareness of life, can feel pain, and can experience terror. A blob of cells can not do that.

tmac78   March 16th, 2009 - 3:05 pm

Oh yee of no knowledge! “blob of cells”! What an ignorant statement! Obama koolaid drinker!

Gregus Scottus   March 16th, 2009 - 3:36 pm

Abortion isn’t just an individual’s choice, as it has dire consequences on the society that sanctions it in the long run. People are the world’s most valuable asset. If anything, they will be the future tax payers, helping the nation pay for the old people who can’t work any longer. Look at Russia for an example of the serious damage that abortion does to a nation. In just a few generations, you can set the groundwork for the extinction of a whole culture. We’ll check back in 50 years.

No one thinks ahead anymore or feels any responsibilty for the future.

seal eater   March 16th, 2009 - 4:13 pm

YUM YUM I LOVE FRESH SEAL MEAT!

There is no comparison!   March 16th, 2009 - 5:11 pm

tmac,
You are the one with no knowledge. In case you did not know, when a woman is pregnant she does NOT have a fully formed little man inside of her from inception. That is what the church thought before microscopes were invented (the evil of those men who did that!). For a good deal of the gestation period you cannot even tell what species the new fetus will become.

Religious nut!

Yes   March 16th, 2009 - 5:53 pm

To mr comparison;
Heartbeats can be detected @ 5 1/2 to 6 1/2 weeks now. It is speculated that better equipment could up the dates on that. Most women won’t find out their pregnant until a month or more after fertilization. Filmed abortions show the unborn child squirming to get away from the probe inserted to kill it, indicating pain adversion. Any reasoning individual would say that that indicates more than a glob of cells. Wouldn’t they?

Thank you for a righteous “Bwahahaha” moment for a Monday.

The Spanish Smell   March 16th, 2009 - 7:04 pm

They smell worse than the seals, Take a bath

GlobalObserver   March 16th, 2009 - 7:57 pm

In Canada, seals are responsible for depleting the number of cod fish in the North Atlantic and upsetting the ecological balance. Due to “protectionism,” seals have grown vastly in number in recent years and are feeding on great numbers of cod fish — ripping out their bellies and eating little more than the liver — meaning each seal has to gut a large number of cod per day to remain well-fed. Seals weigh in at anywhere from 400 to 800 pounds each.

Seal are also contributing to seal-worm parasites in North Atlantic fish, which is killing native stocks and causing problems for fish processing plants who have to deal with the parasites caused by too many seals.

The Spaniards should be angry with the seals, not with the hunters helping to bring down over-population and save the environment.

tmac78   March 16th, 2009 - 8:12 pm

Religion has nothing to do with an abortion and I never said it did. That is the problem with you ignorant leftest who want to put a label on the morale decisions of this world. GEESH! I do I ever waste my time on explaining to you anyway?

fel121   March 16th, 2009 - 8:46 pm

“People are the world’s most valuable asset”

I almost choked on my dinner when I read that, humans, especially the ones in this society, are some most wasteful creatures on this Earth, you call these seal parasites for diminishing the Cod fish populations, look at what humans have done to the oceans since the industrial revolution. At least the seals are smart enough not to s*&t where they eat.
As to this abortion nonsense I won’t even attempt to talk logic to the Right wing nut, religious zealots who see 6 week old heart beats and cellular masses running screaming from medical instruments.
It is truly sad the damage religion has done to the human mind, perhaps one day the human species will grow up and stop waiting for the Easter bunny to clean the air and water with it’s magic paw, or wishing for the sky father to come down and take them away to paradise, so they can s&*t that up as well.

duncan   March 17th, 2009 - 6:44 am

Hey Comparison
Are you happy your mom chose life?
Or maybe she should of swallowed you

To No Comparison   March 17th, 2009 - 10:18 am

To “There is no comparison!”

You’re right – killing humans serves a purpose. When it’s in the womb, it’s called a choice. Once it’s outside the womb, it’s murder. And our President even supports the death of children who survive the abortion, are alive, but serve no “purpose” to the mother.

Before you believe the myth that it’s “A blob of cells”, look at the images of what’s being aborted. I see human bodies.

No Comparison   March 17th, 2009 - 10:21 am

I hope that everyone who supports abortion has viewed the opening video at:
http://www.abortionno.org/

and the other Resources at:
http://www.abortionno.org/resources.html

I can’t see how anyone can condone this.

There is no comparison!   March 17th, 2009 - 12:19 pm

Hey, if you don’t like it, then don’t have one. That is what choice is all about.

Now let the rest of us decide for ourselves.

Gandhi's Fist   March 19th, 2009 - 12:45 am

Ummm, don’t these tools kill bulls for sport on a daily basis?

What’s Spanish for hypocrite?

I’d wonder who are the doofuses buying all this “baby seal” merchandise? Howsabout protesting them?

I’m sensing guilt here. The funny hats worn by the Picadors & toreadors, are they not made of baby seal?

alan   June 16th, 2009 - 4:14 pm

Naked is cool. But too bad these well-meaning Spaniards don’t use their passion to convince THEIR OWN government to stop the overfishing of endangered Mediterranean tuna. Spanish fishermen are also among the worst offenders in vacuuming up endangered cod and other fish stocks just outside Canadian territorial waters — while Cdn fishermen refrain in order to give cod stocks time to recover. Talk about hypocrites! (Or just ill-informed? But don’t you have a responsibility to be properly informed before attacking someone else’s culture and livelihood??!!)
