‘Tea Party’ Tax Protest Draws Crowd of 8,000 in Suburban Los Angeles

OC Register: Some wore buttons. One man brought a bloody effigy head of Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and waved it from the end of a pike, while the crowd joined their hosts in a chant of "Repeal, recall, revolt."

Keep it up America…we across the heartland are proud of all that stand up…speak out…and are taking the time to get involved in the madness that is taking over.

Do it for your state…do it for Washington…keep it up!

=========================

This weekend I sent each and every Senator my opinion on this over the top spending that they are doing.

Please help and do your part. The bill did not pass last week by only “one” vote and they will vote again tomorrow, Monday, March 9.

We can stop this over the top earmark spending by using your voice.

1. senate.gov
2. Click on Senators
3. Start going through the list…under their names the majority of them have a web form to fill out with your opinions. It will take about 1-2 hours to complete the list.

Many in the Congress are now waking up to what is happening here. They are going to vote against this pork…Republicans and Democrats.

But there are still many of both parties that are voting for it…we need to give them the picture…we are fed up with what they are doing and we want them to stop.

Now is not the time for 8,000 earmarks of additional costs to our budget.

Many of us are without work…our houses are being foreclosed and they want to spend more money?

WASHINGTON POLITICIANS HAVE GONE MAD AND THEIR LEADER…SAUL ALINSKY OBAMA IS THE CHIEF POLITICIAN WHO IS ON THE WRONG TRACK!

America…get working on those call/emails…threaten your reps with putting them in the unemployment line along with the rest of America…if they pass this pork!

We can take back America….if they listen…if they don’t…we will get rid of them…one by one…by one!

WTF, I saw some minorities there, look again at the video but this time take your head out of Obamas A$$.

These are the people with “skin in game” as Obama phrased it.

These are the working/small business owning people that make California and the Country work.

These are the people that play by the rules and develope their skills and minds to produce the things that make life better for all of us.

And you know what they all have in common?

They are sick and tired of leftwing politicians and socialist policies that have crept into our system over the last fifty years and broadend the scope of the federal and state governments to the point where “we the people” are held hostage to the whims of tax and spend politicians that feed off the public troft in order to secure their own power.

the economy downturn, home equity losses and bailouts were happening while Bush was still in office, prior to the election. way prior. so WHAT is it exactly that Obama is doing differently than Bush/Cheney? I am CORNfused. We can not keep printing money though, that’s for sure, and we can not keep spending money we do not have, thus the housing crisis, which has a huge cast of characters to lay blame upon, including taxpayers!

Eileen for Freedom/Liberty   March 8th, 2009 - 11:03 pm

Dear racerx…phony grass roots effort? Listen up…bubba…you ain’t seen nothing yet!

Calls are to have a national tea party all over the country on April 15th…I’ll be attending the one in my area on that day…so I guess I am one of those “pathetic” American taxpayers that have had enough of your diety…Saul Alinsky Obama…aka…the Nation of Islam’s Messiah…A little over a month into his reign and he has split our country right down the middle…the “great unifer” has lied again!

America…keep your ears open to the one in your area and participate to stop this madness.

But tonight…Look at my 7:11 pm post and get in touch with your reps to defeat this 8,000+ earmark budget they will vote on TOMORROW!

America…we need each other…let’s unite like our founding fathers did hundreds of years ago…of one mind…of one goal…and one purpose…not to create a great nation…but to continue the existence of that great nation!

We will not let Saul Alinsky Obama and his henchmen in the Congress take America down…not on our watch!

FRANK SCHAEFFER – OPEN LETTER TO THE REPUBLICAN TRAITORS (From a former Republican)

Dear Republican Leaders: The Republican Party has become the party dedicated to sabotaging the American future. Check out the sermon I just delivered about the Republican Party on CNN when being interviewed by D.L. Hughley

You Republicans are the arsonists who burned down our national home. You combined the failed ideologies of the Religious Right, so-called free market deregulation and the Neoconservative love of war to light a fire that has consumed America. Now you have the nerve to criticize the “architect” America just hired — President Obama — to rebuild from the ashes. You do nothing constructive, just try to hinder the one person willing and able to fix the mess you created.

I used to be one of you. As recently as 2000 I worked to get Senator McCain elected in that year’s primary. (McCain and Gen. Tommy Franks wrote glowing endorsements regarding my book about military service, AWOL.). I have a file of handwritten thank you notes from Presidents Ford, Reagan, Bush I and II. In the 1970s and early 80s I hung out with Jack Kemp and bought into his “supply side” myth and even wrote a book he endorsed pushing his ideas.) There’s more, but take it from me; my parents (evangelical leaders Francis and Edith Schaeffer) and I were about as tight with — and useful to — the Republican Party as anyone. We played a big part creating the Religious Right.

In the mid 1980s I left the Religious Right, after I realized just how very anti-American they are, (the theme I explore in my book Crazy For God). They wanted America to fail in order to prove they were right about America’s “moral decline.” Soon after McCain lost in 2000 I re-registered as an independent in disgust with W. Bush. But I still respected many Republicans. Not today.

How can anyone who loves our country support the Republicans now? Barry Goldwater, William F. Buckley and Ronald Reagan defined the modern conservatism that used to be what the Republican Party I belonged to was about. Today no actual conservative can be a Republican. Reagan would despise today’s wholly negative Republican Party. And can you picture the gentlemanly and always polite Ronald Reagan, endorsing a radio hate-jock slob who crudely mocked a man with Parkinson’s and who now says he wants an American president to fail?!

With people like Limbaugh as the loudmouth image of the Republican Party — you need no enemies. But something far more serious has happened than an image problem: the Republican Party has become the party of obstruction at just the time when all Americans should be pulling together for the good of our country. Instead, Republicans are today’s fifth column sabotaging American renewal.

President Obama has been in office barely 45 days and the Republican Party has the nerve to blame him for the economic and military cataclysm he inherited. I say economic and military cataclysm because without the needless war in Iraq you all backed we would not be in the economic mess we’re in today. If that money had been spent here at home on renovating our infrastructure, taking us toward a green economy, putting our health-care system in order we’d be a very different situation.

As the father of a Marine who served in George W. Bush’s misbegotten wars let me say this: if President Obama’s strategy to repair our economy, infrastructure and healthcare fails that will put our troops at far greater risk because the world will become a far more dangerous place. So for all you flag-waving Republicans who are trying to undermine the President at home — if you succeed more of our troops will be killed abroad.

When your new leader Rush Limbaugh calls for President Obama to fail he’s calling for more flag-draped coffins. Limbaugh is the new “Hanoi Jane.”

For the party that created our crises of misbegotten war, mismanaged economy, the lack of regulation of our banking industry, handing our country to rich crooks… to obstruct the one person who is trying to repair the damage is obscene.

Just imagine where America would be today if the 14 to 20 million voters — “the rube base” who slavishly follow the likes of Limbaugh — had not voted as a block year after year thus empowering the Republican fiasco. We would have a regulated banking industry and would have avoided our current financial crisis; some 4000 of our killed military men and women would be alive; over to 35,000 wounded Americans would be whole; we would have been leaders in the environmental movement; we would be in the middle of a green technology boom fueling a huge expansion of our economy and stopping our dependence on foreign oil, and our health-care system would be reformed.

After Obama was elected, you Republican leaders had a unique last chance to send a patriotic message of unity to the world — and to all Americans. You could have backed our president’s economic recovery plan. Since we all know that half of our problem is one of lost confidence and perception, nothing would have done more to calm the markets and project resolve and confidence than if you had been big enough to take Obama’s offered hand and had work with him — even if you disagreed ideologically. You had the chance to put our country first. You utterly failed to rise to the occasion.

The worsening economic situation is your fault and your fault alone. The Republicans created this mess through 8 years of backing the worst president in our history and now, because you put partisan ideology ahead of the good of our country, you have blown your last chance to redeem yourselves. You deserve the banishment to the political wilderness that awaits all traitors.

racerx   March 9th, 2009 - 2:16 am

Eileen-

What’s at stake is more significant than the results of our outdated game of capture the flag that we play every four years. Today, there is no significant difference between the Republican and Democratic parties. Both parties are owned by international corporate interests that trump national sovereignty.

America isn’t important to them. America will probably break apart or be absorbed into a larger entity. Understand that any president elected has to tow the line of bigger interests than the well being of the American population.

Didn’t JFK really want to change things? Try to wind down Vietnam? Try to get rid of the Fed. Great ideas! Those things would have been good for the general population of our country. But they wouldn’t have made the wealthy elites more money. That’s why they took him out.

America…here is yet another piece of garbage out of Washington. Let me first remind you that Hamas is a known terrorist group…and they endorsed Saul Alinsky Obama to be our new President…take that into consideration when reading this.

You remember that Saul Alinsky Obama has destined $900 million of our taxpayer dollars to help rebuild Gaza after Israel defended herself after their attacks?

Senator Kyl (correction – my other posts said McCain that was incorrect) proposed an amendment today that would guarantee that none of this $900 million would go to Hamas. Guess what…your representatives in the Senate defeated it.

Hey-
I was there on Saturday. There were OVER 15,000 people there, NOT 6-8,000 as inaccurately reported.
There were several asian, hispanic, and black Californians there.
This was a rally AGAINST the unrepentant Republicans who voted to increase our taxes, as well as democrats who do not believe in sound fiscal management.
This was absolutely NOT a pro-republican rally. This was an anti-tax pro citizen rally, and it was HUGE.
If you educate yourself on what the rally was about, then you’d have an easier time understanding that Californians do not want to pay the highest income and sales taxes in the country, do not want our car taxes doubled, do not want our child credit slashed by 2/3, and do NOT think that having the HIGHEST tax increase by any state since the founding of the US is a good thing!
This isn’t some blase republican pep rally, this is about being able to survive the recession and make a life for ourselves and our families.

Eileen for Freedom/Liberty   March 9th, 2009 - 10:48 pm

Dear racerx…Kennedy was not a good President…so using him as an example is not a good one for me!

Kennedy took America into the thick of the battle because he was a novice and inexperienced. You are right he was an elitist of wealth…he made lots of mistakes in the short time he was in office.

He wasn’t assasinated because of his wealth. I, and others, believe that the other scenario is more accurate, he was taken down by the mob.

Remember Bobby Kennedy had a “personal” feud with Jimmy Hoffa (of union fame) and played it out in the public arena and on the Hill.

John Kennedy was also a womanizer and one of the “women” he had brought to the White House, under the nose of his wife Jackie, was a woman named Judith Exner who was deeply involved with the mob.

Then there is his relationship with Marilyn Monroe and her ties with Frank Sinatra…again Mob related.

Kennedy was assassinated at the hands of the mob…not because of his elitist ways!

In addition, you say…”tow the line of bigger interests than the well being of the American population” and “America will break apart”…spoken like a true socialist!

I believe there have been self-serving Presidents, and we have one now.

But there have been some very good ones who were interested only in the good of the people…one of them was President Ronald Reagan.

He cared about America…he loved America…and he took seriously his oath to the Constitution.

Both parties have their major problems…the Republicans are run by the moderates and not the conservatives where their roots are…that has to change in order to save the party!

The Democrats are run by the ultra-liberals who have hijacked the party of my parents and grandparents…and that has to change in order to save the party!

Members of both parties need to clean house for the good of America and our democracy.

No one is disputing that…I remember someone once said to me….”if you know what the problem is, you are half way to the solution!

So let’s all clean house and solve the problem of all these self-serving politicians who have taken over our parties.

A revolt is taking place in America…due to Saul Alinsky Obama’s drawing a line in the sand and challenging us to cross over the line and challenge him…and we are!

Yes we are!

Eileen for Freedom/Liberty   March 10th, 2009 - 12:25 am

Dear Kenny C…yet another theory…but Joe DiMaggio isn’t any better…but then we’ll never know!

He was still not a good President even for the short time he was in office.

I found it interesting that I was in line in a store one day…and two young men were behind me talking about this magazine article…something about a President and they brought up Kennedy…and one of them popped up about he was the “greatest President ever”! It took everything I had to keep my mouth shut…it was hard…but I did it.

Here were two young guys…maybe in their mid 20’s expressing the phony tales about how great he was…give me a break! I remember Kennedy…and he was not a great President!

The fables live on…
