GOPer Shows America what 9,286 Earmarks Look Like

Good for you Tom…you showed us what the stimulus was…now the earmarks in this bill.

America…there is still time to contact the Senate and tell them how you feel.

I have already started…and working my way through the alphabet…go to

1. senate.gov
2. Click on Senators
3. Start going through the list…under their names the majority of them have a web form to fill out with your opinions. It will take about 1-2 hours to complete the list.

The vote in the Senate won’t be until Monday.

Many in the Congress are now waking up to what is happening here. They are going to vote against this pork…Republicans and Democrats.

But there are still many of both parties that are voting for it…we need to give them the picture…we are fed up with what they are doing and we want them to stop.

Now is not the time for 9,000 earmarks of additional costs to our budget.

Many of us are without work…our houses are being foreclosed and they want to spend more money?

WASHINGTON POLITICIANS HAVE GONE MAD AND THEIR LEADER…SAUL ALINSKY OBAMA IS THE CHIEF POLITICIAN WHO IS ON THE WRONG TRACK!

America…get working on those call/emails…threaten your reps with putting them in the unemployment line along with the rest of America…if they pass this pork!

We can take back America….if they listen…if they don’t…we will get rid of them…one by one…by one!

Gee, great job, Tom. Now where was your redneck rear during the last eight years when Republicans loaded up bills with earmarks? Remember the Bridge to Nowhere?

In 2005 Georgia had 272 earmarks totaling $445,340,000.

In 2007 twelve Georgia members of the House individually placed about 150 earmarks in various spending bills. Among those requests is Bishop’s provision for $1.6 million for producing and testing Wiley’s lightweight ammunition. About 30 additional earmarks were requested jointly by two or more Georgians, bringing the total value of requests for Georgia in the budget to $208.4 million.

This bill has $99 million in earmarks for Georgia.

Ooops!

What a dummy. Doesn’t he know that spending will get us out of this problem? I had financial problems a few years ago so I went out and ran up my credit cards. That worked for me.

Airwick has a great point. When we were doing great everyone included pork in the bill – so therefore – when the economy is in the tank we should continue the process. I am glad Airwick does not skydive with the same attitude. He would probably never pull the rip cord.

Obama, Reid and Pelosi will not stop until they have destroyed the American economy. First came housing, next was the banking industry, now they are setting sights to utterly destroy the US health care system.

This is truly turning into a nightmare. This trio of dedicated socialists, and the mindless legions that blindly support them have morphed into a collective “Economic Terminator” I am reminded of this quote from the original Terminator movie:

Listen, and understand. That terminator is out there. It can’t be bargained with. It can’t be reasoned with. It doesn’t feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And it absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are dead.

The argument that democrats like to make regarding government spending makes about as much since as our current administrations policy.

Just because the Republicans dropped the ball on earmarks and foolishly overspent does NOT give the party currently in power the permission to do so as well.

There is nothing wrong with realizing one’s mistakes and PREVENTING THEM FROM HAPPENING AGAIN. It does seem unfair in the context but the spending has to stop somewhere. Why not now!

*Earmarks

Didn’t hear the name this morning while listening to Laura Ingraham…. she said she’spost it on her website so I looked-it up a couple hours ago.

It was Byron York with her saying how Home plate-outwards-out, just past the dugouts of Old Detroit Tigers stadiun has a 3.8 million dollar Earmark to preserve the rest of that stadium.
Carl Levin pushed that earmark on to the Porkulus package, btw…

Look-up Byron York’s site…the article’s there…

The GOPer is a little slow in his studies. 40% of the pork is republican. The largest pork project belongs to REPUBLICAN Sen. Thad Cochran of Mississippi at $76 million. Senate Minority Leader REPUBLICAN Mitch McConnell has $51 million in pork himself.

The Rethugs are struggling like a roach sprayed with bug spray. The American people have become tired of rethuglican duplicity and hypocrisy. You have no credibility with the voting majority of the United States.

Eileen for Freedom/Liberty   March 7th, 2009 - 9:36 am

Listen all you nay sayers…the pork is Democrat and Republican…both of them are wrong!

All parties need to get the picture…no more spending…earmarks are out…saving is in!

TWO WRONGS DON’T MAKE A RIGHT!

NOW LET’S MAKE IT RIGHT…AND TELL OUR REPS TO STOP IT…DON’T SPEND IT…OUR THEY WILL BE ON THE UNEMPLOYMENT LINES WITH ALL THE REST OF AMERICA!

ron orf   March 7th, 2009 - 10:48 am

I would like to see the pork withdrawn even though it is less than 2% of the bill and a lot of it makes sense. It is also far less pork than the Republicans had in EVERY ONE of their bills! Hypocrisy has always=Repubs, but that is no excuse. Do the right thing and hold the line on pork AND spending.

POed taxpayer   March 7th, 2009 - 5:29 pm

De-do the whole spending bill!
Strip out the pork and I bet it would be no more than 25-50 pages long!!
Get your heads outta’ your rears House and Senate!!!!!

Wake UP America!!!

America..the socialist Democrats could not get enough votes to make the 60 they needed to pass the bloated budget bill loaded with over 8,000 earmarks. There are many in the Senate that are on the fence…they need us to tell them what “we” want them to do!

We need to contact our reps and tell them to “remove” these earmarks because we cannot pay for them…this spending has to stop.

Saul Alinsky Obama lied, yet again, to the American people during his campaign in order to get voted in. He said he would veto “any” bill with “any” earmarks…and now he intends to sign off on this additional spending of our taxpayer money that we “cannot” afford.

It has to stop and stop now! The vote was postponed until this coming Monday, March 9.

Please contact your reps today!
========================================

I just finished sending each and every member of the Senate the following message:

“Everyone of you representatives of the people better pay close attention to the calls and emails into your offices. We out here in the heartland are mad as hell and we aren’t going to take your not listening to us anymore.

You better remove these earmarks from the budget…we are tired of you spending our money on a continual basis…it had better stop now! The stimulus bill should have never passed…but this one will be the straw that broke the camel’s back!

Either you listen or you join the rest of America on the unemployment lines.”
=======================

Please send your message by going to:

1. senate.gov
2. Click on Senators
3. Under each name is a web form to fill out

It is simple…takes a little time…but we have to get this done for our children and our grandchildren and our country!
