Mrs. Obama is going with that old adage of playing up your best features. Baring her arms keeps your attention focused on her midsection, which looks good. Drawing your eye away from the her face and her lower body is what any fashion consultant would tell her to do. Also, since they keep the White House warm enough to grow orchids now, wearing a jacket would be really uncomfortable. How would it look if our first lady was dotted with sweat? Sheesh. Doesn’t anyone know anything?

Who cares? Arms–shmarms.

Maybe the ones who are complaining are old and fat with bat-wing arms? Hmm? Hiss-Hiss, your cat-claws are showing. Like her or not, she’s in great shape and she sets a good example for the fatties of this country.

Mamaganoosh, I think the problem people have with it is not so much the arms. It’s probably more about their frustration with the way that the Obama’s idyllic marriage, style, brilliance, and all things Obama are being greased up and shoved down our throats. If you’re an Obama supporter, this must all seem great, but if you’re someone who has serious concerns about where we’re going as a country with Obama, you might just be feeling a little bit like the atheist who finds himself somehow, impossibly surrounded by Evangelists in a revival tent. You’re unlikely to be convinced, but that doesn’t stop them from shoving the scripture in your face in an effort to convert your poor, lost soul.

I, for one, as someone with serious reservations about Mr. Obama, his plans, and his integrity, would like just to be able to turn on the TV and not be confronted with ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, and CNN, along with the Animal Planet (seriously!) pondering such important questions as Michelle’s toned arms, Barack’s glistening pec’s, hard hitting questions like whether he’s really like Abe Lincoln, FDR, Jesus, or kind of a combination, or whether the Obama’s will get a Goldendoodle or a Portugese Water Dog. I’d like to go the grocery store and not have to be confronted with twelve magazine covers, all bearing the likeness of either Michelle, Michelle and Barack, Michelle and the kids, or some combination thereof with glowing taglines like “Why Barack Loves Michelle”. I’d like to go the book store and find books of substance right up front rather than the Obama table set up with the Obama books, the Obama playing cards, and the blow up Obama that you can sit on your desk for those pesky times when you just need the image of the President and can’t turn your head to see the banner on the wall. I’d like to see the newspapers seriously carrying some hard hitting news again rather than column after column lauding his latest speech, or his “uber” brilliance, or why his plan is really just going to bring “respect” to our country for the first time in “eight years”.

So if folks are picking on Michelle’s arms, which are absolutely lovely, it probably has more to do with their frustration with the rest of society than with the actual arms. Get it?

Oh, come on, people! Leave the woman alone. If she’s comfortable with bare arms, leave her alone. They’re HER arms. She has GREAT ARMS, so why not show them off? She knows they are a great asset, and she is well aware that she has other physical features that are not so great, so she likes to play up her best features, just like EVERYONE ELSE!

Am personally not crazy about any of the Obamas, but all this nitpicking and harping about her ARMS is shallow and ridiculous. Am glad to see she has found a style that works for her. That red & black dress she wore on Election night and that pea-green & yellow “stuff” she had on at the Inauguration were PRETENTIOUS & UNATTRACTIVE and she drew a lot of criticism for them. Now she wears something that looks GREAT and she has grace and poise, and people still want to find fault.

Maybe it’s just SOUR GRAPES doing the complaining?

America…don’t forget our “ace in the hole” the birth certificate.

Remember the (2) active duty soldiers that have come forward to fight to see it and confirm their loyalty to an “official” President…that is all they are asking. Prove that he “is” officially their Commander n’ Chief.

As a person that can’t speak out at the time due to my oath. I’m sure you will understand. I thank you for what you are doing. We are watching that petition every day. Keep it up and you will see true defenders of our Constitution take action. Stop now and we will be crucified before we get moving. We need your help to get the momentum rolling on this issue or we will not see resolution until its to late. When there is enough momentum to succeed you will have your resolution. Stop short and you’ll be squashed.

Article II Section one:

No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty five years, and been fourteen Years a resident within the United States.

Stop being so jealous and resentful of President Obama and the First Lady. They are a fresh new couple who are smart, attractive, with cute kids and a seemingly happy marriage. Probably with time, they will not be on so many magazine covers. They are new and people are for the most part curious about them. In the meantime, take a deep breath averrt your eyes, and walk by those magazine covers and books displaying pictures of the Obamas. Also, pray to God that He will help you get over this envy and hate. If you are sincere in your desire to give them up and live in peace, He will take them away from you. He is a good and loving God. Hmmmm, tnwoman, you must type and read verrrrrry slowly. My responses didn’t take much time at all! I made 2 loaves of bread, 8 dozen cookies, 2 dozen muffins and soup for two families in need today while I took care of my children and my dog. I guess some of us just are more efficient than others?

I’m not jealous of the Obamas. I was merely trying to tell people why it would be that anyone would be taking something as seemingly inconsequential as bare arms and turn it into an issue. It’s not about the arms.

I’m just someone who wishes that I thought that $900 million of our hard earned dollars being given to Palestine was actually NOT going to be used to support Hamas. I wish that I thought that bankrupting the coal industry would not result in unaffordable electricity prices for all, and cause more harm to humans than it did “good” for the environment. I wish that I thought we could power America with solar and wind. I wish that I thought that trying to fix the economy by digging a bigger hole and enslaving our children to a debt that they didn’t incur was a good thing.

If you are happy with where we’re going, then that’s great. All I was telling you was that not everyone feels that way, and that there are probably more of people like me than you would ever imagine.

Notice the well tailored clothes that Jackie O wore: the sleeveless dresses were not cut in but straight, the dresses were not form fitting like a sausage skin. Jackie O walked with grace with body part protrudign. The fabric did not cling to all the wrong parts.
