I hope you do go after these people John, this seems to be done intentionally.

I also see attacks like this being used against honest reporters and journalists to bolster the newest “Fairness Doctrine” or some other rearing snakehead of this doctrine.

Good luck in your endeavors, John. And keep reporting the news like you always do. It is refreshing to hear both sides of a story.

Note to John Gibson:

Who did the interview with the WBAL guy? Oh yeah, it was THE B-CAST. Ever hear of proper attribution? Credit? The only reason you even know who did it, was because they tracked the guy down last week.

With your decades in the biz, one would think you are aware of how it works.

I’m not even sure I get DMPJ’s comment. Vaguely anti-Fox but with no substance backing it.

Fox does get bashed. Claims that it is right-wing are the typical liberal charge. In fact, Fox is centrist with the odd right spike here and there. What the liberal’s hate about the network is it’s exposure of the lies, half truths and other wrong-headed directions they’re taking the country in.

The hope is, if you call Fox fascist enough, berate it as being extremely right, then people will be dismissive of it.

Journalism is dead in this country, the election coverage pretty much ended that argument. Not that McCain wasn’t a horrendous candidate, but to deny that the media was and is in the tank for the Democrats means you’re living you life with ideological blinders on. Having a vigorous challenging and neutral journalistic community is central to a healthy country. 95% of the media should change their names to Pravda. What they’ve done is become official communication organs of the Democratic party. That is dangerous.

If you query people, about their perspective on the government the parties, social policy. Often you’ll learn that their functional knowledge of the facts is abysmal. It’s not their fault though, it is those in the media who craft these perceptions to get what they want. America is very much like a raw clay that–as a democracy–can be molded into amazing things, but what these characters have discovered, is that they can manipulate the populous into doing what they want. Like a frog in water slowly coming to a boil, people can’t seem to perceive the danger of what is to come.

So when a self-blinded ideologue takes a weird pot-shot at FOX, why should anyone be surprised? I wish I could say that people will get with it and wake up to this manipulation, but trends point to this being unlikely.
