Obama and every one else in the federal government, are taking orders from the Money Power (mainly big banks and the likes of Goldman Sachs). Since he wants to stay in the political game for a long time, he does his best to say nothing specific and position others to take the blame. For example, Geither, the boy treasurer, will take the blame for the ongoing credit crisis, and people like Pelosi and Reid will take the blame for the so-called “Stimulus Package”. Obama knows that if he is to avoid looking foolish like his predecessor in office, someone else has to take the blame when things inevitably go wrong (although to the benefit of the Money Power).

Its easy to say a president made mistakes or looked foolish, but if you had the same information he got, it might make you look foolish. Bush did not try to change the country from what it was made of, Constitutional or heritage, but Obama wants to.

Paglia is right in this matter in the first half of this audio.

Now, the final tally for this massive piece of pork is said to be around 2.7 trillion dollars. Also contained in this bill are a slew of mandates including a reversal of welfare reforms and a provision to unemployment rules allowing states to grant unemployment payments for individuals who have quit in order to take care of “ailing” relatives, pregnancy, restraining orders, etc. This will be subejected to massive fraud by a sector of the population known for “working the system”. It will also place a massive burden on large businesses and state UI funds.

That’s just the tip of the ice berg that’s about to hit the United States like the Titanic. This legislation will have near zero job growth and signal the return of the welfare state.

If I recall, she has a great respect for Nancy Pelosi and mentions it often in her columns. Nancy Pelosi wrote this bill. This isn’t BHO’s bill, it’s Pelosi’s.
So if she never mentions Pelosi in her diatribe, I’ll assume she’s either misinformed (doubtful – Paglia is a smart shrewd person) or she’s being manipulative somehow.

Obama is smart and I trust what he says and does. He will protect us and provide provisions. He will restore America to allow other countries to like us again. He will bring peace to the world and will save the planet from global warming. It will cost us all a lot, as Michelle has warned. But, to save all of mankind, it will be worth it. Obama will keep his promises to his people. He is telling Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid what to do. Obama is leading his party and crafted the stimulus bill personally. Everything that is in the bill is strategic and is exactly what Obama wanted. Therefore, it is a good bill.

If Obama says it is good, then it is good. If Obama says it is bad, then it is bad. It is that simple. Everyone should follow Obama. My Obama won!

Obama is exactly what 53 million people thought he was prior to the election; an empty suit. He’s Pelosi’s lap dog. I wish I would have been in that 53 million. I got caught up in the hype and was wrong to vote for Obama. However, given the revealing of his true colors, I will not make that mistake again in ‘12.

Regarding his most recent rhetoric, remember his inauguration speech where he said, “On this day, we gather because we have chosen hope over fear, unity of purpose over conflict and discord?” How come he’s been fear-mongering like crazy about this bill and doing everything he can to squash civil discussion about it? Simple. HE’S A LIAR! JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER DAMM POLITICIAN! Just like he said he was going to usher in “a new era of accountability and transparency” then appointed at tax cheat to the agency that sees to it we all pay our taxes ethically and kept the blinders on the American public with this bill so they couldn’t see what a crap sandwich it actually is. He and the current congress are disgusting. This is far more flagrant than Bush taking us to war in Iraq (which I didn’t necessarily support). At least Bush had multiple intelligence sources to back his argument. What does Obama have? Certainly anyone who has studied economics or has run a business can clearly see this bill doesn’t address any of our current problems.

Forget about which Party you belong to. What has happened to “We the People.” This so called Stimulus Package is a disgrace to the American people and the fact that Senators could sign anything without having read it is appalling.

Imagine signing a contract or a will without having read it.
