Not much i can say i agree with Camille Paglia about but i will state that i respect the lady.

Camille believes in what the Democrat party was supposed to stand for. She is one of the very few who understands, and appreciates everyone having a voice. I’m not in the least bit surprised that leftwingers would try to throttle free speech by imposing a free speech busting “fairness doctrine” to destroy Conservative talk radio. Look what they do on college campi when Conservative speakers attempt to address students…quite frequently this conservative viewpoint is shouted down…just as the brown shirts shouted down anyone opposed to hitler’s ideology (national socialism).

Read Goldberg’s “Liberal Fascism.” It traces the lineage of the isms……communism, nazism, leftist/liberal/progressivism……folks…… these people are related…..they both have a fascination with big government and the jackbooted state mandates……it’s what makes their legs tingle.

I found some of Ms Paglia’s columns last year and while I don’t agree with a lot of what she says, I appreciate she thinks about it and makes a somewhat cohesive rational case for her ideas.

Been looking for that information on coding ammo.

Just had a conversation with an acquaintance who works in the camping/outdoors/firearms dept at our local Wal*Mart.
He said sometime in May or June (He told me but I was so stunned I don’t even remember the date he said) that WM will no longer sell uncoded ammo and there will be a 50 cent tax PER “shell”. They can’t keep ammo in stock right now. As soon as there is a delivery, they are almost completely sold out.

We’d BETTER get into the offices of our representatives and meet them face to face instead of writing emails and talking with staffers. They don’t seem to be hearing us very well.

Case in point – this bill was brought up previously in 2007 by Rep Rush out of Chicago – a former Black Panther and current pastor of a local church.

What is truly disturbing is the left wing lemmings who are cheer leading this assault on free speech. Don’t seem to care a bit about an opposing view point as long as their views are in the majority. They’ll care when a second revolution erupts over this.

She’s absolutely right! I’d add that the reason liberal talk radio fails is that they have to lie all the time and people can hear it in their voices. The facts don’t support liberals so they end up yelling and name calling at anyone who opposes them to shut them up. If the Democrats succeed in doing this, I predict it will lead to Civil War! The attack on our freedoms combined with “hyper pork spending” will also lead to a horric depression and civil strife. So the first thing we should prepare for is to learn to be as self-sufficient as possible and protect your family. Then organize with other like minded people to defend your community or area from the starving bands of liberal idiot raiders from our largest cities who will come looking for anything they can steal or eat. Then we build from there by combining like minded groups or militias. This is just a scenario, however, it very well could happen considering the situation we’re in which is worse than the 1930’s because our country has massive debt now and virtually no production capacity. Not that I am in favor of the fairness doctrine, Besides I take it upon myself to find out both sides of any issue. I’m an adult who doesn’t cater to being spoon fed what I’m supposed tho think.

Nevertheless, do any of you even know what the fairness doctrine is? I mean actually is? Not the Fox News talking points version. It does not require EQUAL TIME, min by min, hour by hour. It would only require an opposing view point be given to critical public information. The equal time rule is something completely different, actually for campaigning political candidates.
