You hear about the liberal Democrats tax and spend policies. They are spending your money now. The taxing will come later.

Here are some of the pork items in the bill that we will have to pay for when it passes:

l) $4.1 billion to Acorn, the group that registered dead people during the election

2) $246 million for Hollywood!

3) $600 million for new cars for government workers

4) $200 million for plug-in car stations

5) $400 million for “global warming” research

6) $83 billion for earned income credit for those who don’t even pay income taxes

7) $335 million for STD education and prevention, and

8) $54 billion to federal programs that the Office of Government Accountability has already criticized as ineffective.

This lefty just doesn’t care. He doesn’t care where the money goes, how it is spent, how much is pork, or if it is a wise choice. He cares about exactly 2 things:
1) Covering his own butt (he won’t read it and doesn’t take ownership of the spending, instead relying on the new empty buzzword of “oversight”)
2) Making the Democrats look like they care (accomplished, of course, by the speedy passage of even a flawed bill – why take the time to ensure that the spending makes sense and is pork free?)
This is why our government is so error prone and inefficient. This same stupidity is why we passed the auto-bailout (and those companies now need more cash), why the last stimulus bill was an ineffective joke, and why a guy like Obama can get elected.
Who cares? The taxpayers. that’s who. And as head of the appropriations committee, YOU are supposed to care you dirtwad in a suit!!

It’s ALL earmarks – Earmarks are items that are targeted! OUR MONEY is being targeted towards paybacks, lobbyists, constituents, community organizations, Pelosi’s pet projects (over 1900) and climbing for California (maybe it’s for the tax refunds being ’stolen’ by Arnold) that’s earmarks!

Two Republicans are voting with the Democrats. They are Arlen Spector of PA and Collins of ME…call…email them and tell them they must stand united with the rest of their party.

This bill must not pass…it will not help our economy…it will destroy it!

In addition, to calling/emailing Collins and Spector…and if you haven’t done so already…call/email your Senators to say “no”!

The bailout did not help like they said…and this one won’t either.

President Obama’s economic recovery package will actually hurt the economy more in the long run than if he were to do nothing, the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office said Wednesday.

CBO, the official scorekeepers for legislation, said the House and Senate bills will help in the short term but result in so much government debt that within a few years they would crowd out private investment, actually leading to a lower Gross Domestic Product over the next 10 years than if the government had done nothing.

CBO estimates that by 2019 the Senate legislation would reduce GDP by 0.1 percent to 0.3 percent on net. [The House bill] would have similar long-run effects, CBO said in a letter to Sen. Judd Gregg, New Hampshire Republican, who was tapped by Mr. Obama on Tuesday to be Commerce Secretary.

These crooks are just setting this up so they can blame others when the dollar fails. If you watched any of the Congressional discussions on CSPAN last night you heard the following:

A GOOD AMENDMENT THAT DID “NOT” PASS…

Last night around midnight 2/6…an amendment was introduced that would have taken the “entire” stimulus package of over $800 billion and given it to American taxpayers who file taxes. It amounted to about $10,000 per couple and about $5,000 per individual .

Ten Thousand dollars could be used to buy a needed car, a down payment on a small house, pay off on a credit card… thereby getting directly into the system to stimulate our economy.

However, the amendment was defeated for good reason….because it was money that would have to be “borrowed”.

That wasn’t why it was defeated…it was really defeated because the Democrats would rather use the money for golf courses and water parks, etc.

ANOTHER AMENDMENT THAT DID PASS…

Another Amendment that was introduced was to “NOT” pay any monies (that amounts to millions of dollars) whatsoever to ACORN.

ACORN you remember was being investigated for illegal voting procedures that eventually put the new President over the top in the election.

The Democratic members resoundingly defeated that proposal.
