59-0: Bye, Bye Blagojevich

MSNBC: The Illinois Senate unanimously voted to remove Gov. Rod Blagojevich from office on Thursday after an FBI investigation revealed he tried to sell a U.S. Senate seat to the highest bidder. In a long-shot attempt to save his job, Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich insisted Thursday he had done nothing wrong and shouldn't be removed from office over unproven criminal charges and complaints about his management decisions. "You haven't proved a crime, and you can't because it didn't happen," Blagojevich said at his Senate impeachment trial. "How can you throw a governor out of office with insufficient and incomplete evidence?"

This scandal leads directly to Washington DC, no wonder they want to shut him up as soon as possible.

YES BABY, DRILL BABY DRILL..GO BUBBA!

[...] As the sound of the calliope starts to fade, the thought of not having Blago to kick around anymore …. So let me toss something out here, Ron Burgundy style, and if you don’t like how it sounds, send it right back: Fox News analyst Rod Blagojevich. Think it over. Exit question: Good idea to set a precedent of impeaching people who haven’t been convicted of any crime? (Exit answer: No.) [...]

Sayonara scumbag!!

Next comes the Federal trial. Maybe you will forget to testify and go on talk shows during that trial too :D

Then will come Federal Prison!!! :D I hope they put you away forever.

And there might be a bunch of further state prosecutions too once they start digging…

The really sad thing is that this jerk is a Democrat. They should quadruple his sentence(s) for bringing shame on the pro-America party.

What ever happened to personal responsibility. If you took out a mortgage for a home you couldn’t afford, you deserve to lose it. Why does the government need to help anyone out of this situation. Just another Obama voter who thinks the government should take care of their every need. Wake up and be responsible people. I’m sick of the entitlement mentality that is become an epidemic in this country.

BYE, BYE BLAGO!   January 30th, 2009 - 12:56 am

Blago’s OUSTER today should be a HEADS UP warning to hypocrites and cheats in ALL levels of government: American voters are FED UP and like the line in the movie, “Mad as hell and not gonna take it any more!”

Good Luck, Pat Quinn!   January 30th, 2009 - 1:11 am

THREE CHEERS for Illinois and their GUTS in ousting that jacka$$ Blagoneavitch. Criminal trial or not, Mr. Blago received a vote of NO CONFIDENCE from his EMPLOYERS, and that’s all it takes to get rid of the clown.

Maybe NOW Illinois will show even MORE GUTS and BRAINS and finally get a RECALL LAW on the books, and it should apply to ALL levels of government.

Furthermore, they should put a LAW on the books that EVERY GOVERNOR *MUST* LIVE IN THE GOVERNOR’S MANSION or else turn down the job. If Blago had been living in Springfield instead of Chicago, maybe he wouldn’t have been able to pull so many dirty tricks.

WHAT kind of government can have a Governor in UPstate and a Lt. Governor DOWNstate, and the two haven’t even spoken for a year and a half????

WHAT kind of LUNACY is that?

Good luck to the new Governor Pat Quinn; that was a nice touch, reading the letter from your father’s commanding officer. Let’s hope “HONESTY” will once again become a recognized trait for Illinois & its lawmakers & governors. After all, you guys are in the home of HONEST ABE!

The really sad thing is that this jerk is a Democrat. They should quadruple his sentence(s) for bringing shame on the pro-America party.

It’s sad anybody is a Democrat. The pro-American party, this the biggest lie I have ever read on the Internet. Larse why don’t you become a human shield. No guts no glory.

Eileen for Freedom/Liberty   January 30th, 2009 - 7:23 pm

Wouldn’t it be ironic if Blago was “working” with the government to get the goods on some of the Chicago machine?

If it happens, I hope he sues the State of Illinois for what they have done.

Stay tuned!

TO EILEEN   January 31st, 2009 - 2:13 am

Eileen, some of your posts sound nearly lucid, but a lot of them sound TOTALLY PSYCHO… like the present one. Blago clearly was “working” FOR BLAGO and NOBODY ELSE. Sit up, pay attention, and stop mouthing off till you know a little of what you are talking about…
