Colin Powell you are not a Republican you are a “race hustler” from the get go. You and other “republicans” like McCain are why we LOST the election against this Corrupt half Black corrupt Chicago hack, with Racist friends and wife. Obama is so dumb his handlers are afraid to let him out of their sight.

GETAGRIPE   January 20th, 2009 - 9:33 pm

YOU EITHER ARE OR YOU ARE NOT……I AM A REPUBLICAN….I KNOW WHAT I AM…DON’T JUST THINK I AM…COLIN IS CONFUSED….I AM NOT.

carl   January 20th, 2009 - 9:45 pm

No General, you are NOT a Republican! Quit faking it!

You cannot annul your marriage of political convenience to Slick Barry Obama.

If you had been a Republican, or just had not forgotten your honor–you would have come forth with your knowledge that Richard Armitage leaked Valerie Plame’s CIA info. Instead, you chose to let Scooter Libby suffer through an 18 month long pointless witch hunt.

You are not welcome back!

Kenny C   January 20th, 2009 - 9:50 pm

The ghost of Reagan is haunting him…He let the gipper down…too late….you made your bed…sleep in it

Colon Bowel   January 20th, 2009 - 10:14 pm

Dear Colin Powell,
You are a disgrace. Nobody likes or respects you, please GO AWAY and take that other presidential pimp-rican Oprah with you!

john   January 20th, 2009 - 10:19 pm

Hey Powell…

You supported Obama because, and only because he is black….

A republican would never support the socialist brand of government Obama represents…

Powell is a racist turn coat…

Rocky   January 20th, 2009 - 10:24 pm

McCain thinks he’s one too. They’re delusional.

B   January 20th, 2009 - 10:29 pm

Powell you are a coward and voted based on race alone as did your black brothers and sisters. I have lost ALL respect for you and you need to join obamanation and his imps now that you have pledged your allegance to him instead of the USA.

Not 4 Obama   January 20th, 2009 - 10:30 pm

No, Mr. Powel, you are not welcomed in the Grand Old Party from where I stand. Me thinks you voted on Obamy’s color, not for the fact he is totally unprepared to lead this country. So, just pony up to your bro Obamy and get appointed to some community orgainzation thingy.

pomoc   January 20th, 2009 - 10:36 pm

He is not and never has been a republican he is out for powell and when forced into a political corner he proves his disloyalty Every time it may take a few months or years but he always washes his self off, at the expense of the party and comes out smelling like a rose to the other side always. The people who care see this and he will never be forgiven never.

GlobalObserver   January 20th, 2009 - 10:46 pm

Shut up, Colin, you’re just making thing worse.

What happened to those wonderful days when you knew how to keep your mouth zipped?

Vinte   January 20th, 2009 - 10:48 pm

Just go away, you fraud.

Big round face. Big head. Big ego. Perfect for a mainstream media job. RINO.

Scott   January 20th, 2009 - 11:16 pm

Mr. Powell,

From my friends here to you, please, get out of the Republican party and please stop embarrassing yourself and your party members.

Your ignorance has caused me to switch from a 3rd party to the Republican party.

Goodbye.

JS   January 20th, 2009 - 11:27 pm

that’s funny bc pelosi and frank and hillary and the like would love nothing more than to wipe the republicans out.

Oprah's Maid   January 20th, 2009 - 11:29 pm

I heard that Mr. Colin Sir and Miss Oprah are planning a new weekly show that will keep the American public brainwashed. They are afraid that the kool-aid might wear off before Obama runs again. You know he is only in it for the re-election don’t you? The man is on an egotistical joyride and we the working people will be paying dearly for it. Having people like Powell out there spreading BHO’s false good cheer is supposedly going to help get Barry elected for another term.
None of them care about the job of President, it’s all about the winning and the expensive party afterward!

randy   January 20th, 2009 - 11:33 pm

You are not and never were a conservative. Maybe a republican turncoat, or whatever, but you ultimately voted for race. Your man is a racist, marxist, abortionist.

JS   January 20th, 2009 - 11:35 pm

i’m getting tired of the liberal media like msnbc and such going on and on and on and oooon about their love fest.

how bout mathews….HE RODE A BUS! HE HAS BEEN ON A SUBWAY AND A TRAIN! WHAT PRESIDENT, I DON’T THINK WE’VE EVER HAD ONE, BUT WHAT PRESIDENT HAS RIDDEN THE BUS! PEOPLE HE’S FROM THE CITY, WE HAVE A PRESIDENT FROM THE CITY! STOP THE PRESSES!

what was scary was when that cnn reporter compared the inauguration to the hodge. what the hell?

and the lib media needs to stop saying that the republicans are even cheering and wanting this to work. i want our country to work. and it won’t work with socialism.

long live Reagan!

Enzo   January 20th, 2009 - 11:36 pm

Yeah, whatever you wanna call yourself, COLON. Just don’t ever claim to be Conservative. You are a limp wrist, self-serving SOB. Barack Hussein Obama should appoint you Ambassador to Kenya. That is where you belong, COLON!

Nate   January 20th, 2009 - 11:52 pm

A whole lot of jackass and not much elephant in this guy. Leave the Republican Party and take McCain with you. From his body language it looks like he is on drugs. His bad advice cost us a lasting victory in the first Gulf War. He is the main reason we had to go back to Iraq. Judge him on the content of his character – I give him an F.

Jimmy   January 20th, 2009 - 11:54 pm

With all due respect, Sir! What you are is a racist who puts his color before his country. To think, the GOP would have elected you as the first African-American, but you didn’t have the stones for it. Now I know why you are so for affirmative action… it is obvious that you did not earn your rank and cowardly accepted being handed it!

edword   January 20th, 2009 - 11:54 pm

Jog on, General.

scabbeus   January 21st, 2009 - 12:12 am

Ladies and Gentlemen,

The sky is falling and I am suspending my presidential campaign to go back to Washington DC.

Can you blame the guy? How could you support someone that pulls a stunt like the above!

JC in OBX   January 21st, 2009 - 12:13 am

Colin Powell, you are NOT a Republican.

You are an opportunist who follows ideology around. Where are your principles? Why aren’t your principles so rock-solid that you could have said, “Regardless of the fact that I would like to support Obama, and appreciate that he is the first black candidate, I must vote my principles.”
Hmmm?

You are also without a clue as to the legacy of Reagan, the man whose principles made the Republican party what it is today (and elevated you from obscurity). Principles bear up under scrutiny…they do not veer with the shifting of the winds.

You did ok in green (with a lot of help from Schwartzkopf and a friendly media). Less so as SecState, but you still made a passing grade.

However, you do not deserve to call yourself a Republican, and you have NO right to be telling any of us real Republicans what’s wrong with our party.

When’s the last time you attended a party meeting, Blowfish?

ILonaE   January 21st, 2009 - 12:32 am

If you have to THINK about whether or not you are a Republican – you probably aren’t. As someone else posted on here Opportunist is an accurate description.

Hold on to your wallets folks – it’s going to be a bumpy 4 years.

CrusaderPatriot   January 21st, 2009 - 12:37 am

What lesson is that we should learn Powell? That we should abandon our principles and be just like DemocRats? Powell abandoned his principles out of his loyalty to his race and now he still wants to call himself a Republican? So he made up a bunch of BS about the Republican’s and Rush Limbaugh because he wants to cover up that fact. Well news flash! We don’t want him and we don’t need him. What we need is to kick out the moderate appeasement pansies out of the party and replace them with real conservatives. In the words of Rahm Emanual (sp?), “Powell you are dead dead dead dead dead to me”! It’s not as effective as Rahm was when he jammed a knife into a table and named all the DemocRats he thought were turncoats, but it’ll do.

Claire Solt PhD   January 21st, 2009 - 12:53 am

According to Rev Lowry, the country relies on the white people to do what is white while all the others goof off.

MaryB   January 21st, 2009 - 12:55 am

Colin you’re a race hustling fraud. You sold your country out for your race. You should just shut your bigoted mouth and retire. The American public is tired of looking at your ignorant face, spouting lies.

Mike   January 21st, 2009 - 1:23 am

Obama was elected because of the “color of his skin” and NOT because of the “content of his character”. Thus, Mr. Powell, MLK would not, as you surmise, be smiling today–he would be screaming at the top of his lungs that his legacy has been betrayed.

just-a-regular-guy   January 21st, 2009 - 1:28 am

Mr. Powell,

You sir are not a conservative but you certainly could be considered a Republican what with the joke of a candidate the New York Times et al. selected for the party this last election.

Your capitulation to the left wingers and Obama based on his race and your true deep seated political beliefs has earned you the “size 12″ boot out of the Republican party. Simply move along sir over to the Democrat side and end the charade.

Thank you for your service to our country, for that we are grateful, but please just move along.

Thanks,

The American People

Laffing at Lefties   January 21st, 2009 - 1:40 am

Hell I’m more of a Republican than Powell and I’m a registered Indy…
A waste of time and a waste of flesh a lot like B-HO..

Emi   January 21st, 2009 - 2:33 am

Dear Mr. Colon Powell: Thank you for your service in VietNam. I am sure it was an admirable and honorable service to your country. No thanks, however, to your disservice when you endorsed a man simply because of his race.
We are not simpletons…we are not fooled by your statements that you feel he is most qualified by his ‘character’ and experience, or whatever. The most qualified by ‘character’, hands down, would have to have been John McCain, no explanation needed. You, as a military officer, should have endorsed him for that alone, as you know what character it took for him to withstand 5 years of torture in a Vietcong prison. But no, you chose instead, a man of no known experience, a man lacking the basic honesty and character to provide truthful answers to questions that every other candidate for the office of Presidency has had to provide. A man who has not only refused to address the questions, but had all pertinent records sealed. Mr. Powell, Sir, do you not consider that a lack of character? Would you not have had to provide the same information if you were to run for office?
Obviously, the answer is ‘yes’; therefore, your
vote was for the man based on the color of his skin, not the content of his character. Did you miss that part of Dr. Martin Luther King’s famous speech????

See yoU Next Tuesday   January 21st, 2009 - 2:57 am

RINO

you’re a joke

Dryden01   January 21st, 2009 - 5:59 am

Colin you are more of an Ahithophel to the republicans than a loyal, reliable ally and a believer in republican principles. You abandoned your party and abetted a socialist puppet who is as far from republican values as your loyalty is to your party. Find a comfortable post in the Obama administration because he owes you a job worth at least 30 pieces of silver.

Terry   January 21st, 2009 - 6:07 am

Mr. Powell
Everyone knows you are an opportunist. You were the 1st Black Sec of State, highest ranking General, Head of the Defense Dept and every appointment was made by a white and supported by white people. All the while the black community called you an “Uncle Tom”.

Now you saw your chance to try and erace your “Uncle Tom” status by supporting Obama (who by the way was put into office by white people)…hope it works for you.

Remaining in the GOP is the best way to destroy it
That’s always the goal of a “mole”.

Why don’t you just go sit over there with that racist Joseph Lowery.

“and White will do right”….give me a break!

Duncan   January 21st, 2009 - 6:56 am

You Think General? At this point of time I would of thought you would know by now.
But than you ARE older and confusion gets to be the norm. Go to the park and feed the birds with Kissinger

El Capitan   January 21st, 2009 - 7:52 am

Mr. Secretary, stop thinking.

Tina   January 21st, 2009 - 9:31 am

Quoting, “”I think America needs two parties.” YOU “THINK???” My dear, deluded man, don’t think. This is not a socialist country. You, sir, are a stupid man. I used to respect you, now the only thing I feel for you is disgust. You are not a republican. Fade away, we don’t want you.

Sean R.   January 21st, 2009 - 10:13 am

Dear Mr. Powell,

You may be a “Republican”, but your one of those “check-pants-country-club Republicans” like John McShame. And the reason why you Mr. Powell started to sucked up to Obama is because your only doing this on behalf of Obama’s skin-color instead of what he really stands for (ie, Obama’s left wing politics)!

And most of the posters here are right, the reason why the Republicans lost the election in November is because of folks like Powell and McCain, and also, don’t forget about George Bush’s ineptness as President. In other words, Bush sort of gave us Barack Obama to the leader of the free world!

Liberalism is a Mental Disorder!!!!!

Sherry   January 21st, 2009 - 10:27 am

Republicans polarizing?? Would it be racism and polarizing if 95% of the white community had voted Republican? Yes, of course. The Republicans didn’t lose this election because they excluded blacks. They lost because blacks vote for blacks no matter what. There was nothing that the Republicans could have done or said that would have swayed the majority of blacks to vote against a black president. You are proof of this Colin. The curtain gets pulled back today for the great reveal on who was truly elected into this office.

anonymous   January 21st, 2009 - 10:39 am

He is disgrace. I am proud to be the member of the Republican Party and a real true conservative. I joined the Republican Party in 1996 because of former late Pres. Reagan. Powell didn’t do a good job as the Secretary of State during Bush’s first term. Former Secretary of State Condi Rice did better than Powell. Thank you, Condi!

L   January 21st, 2009 - 10:45 am

Glad you finally showed your true colors, Powell, I’m sorry I ever thought kindly of you. Turncoat is as turncoat does. And I speak as a non-Republican.

Best if you just go back to your hip-hopping ways with Kanye.

There was a time when I thought YOU could be the first black president of our great country. Thanks for the wake up call, traitor.

Dr. Islam Moehamboneid Jones   January 21st, 2009 - 11:13 am

RINO

Please go away. At one time I did respect you but you lost any respect I could muster up. I feel you voted for bHo because he was half-black. He is even closer to being a Communist than the Clintons. You might as well start you own talk show on “air” America and leave the rest of us alone.

I think it’s time to divide this country up. The liberals can have their’s and the rest of us can have ours. Liberals only want to get along when they are in charge. I feel it’s payback time for what they did to President Bush.
