Palin Responds To Smears And Media ‘Exploiting’ Her

"I know that a lot of people are capitlizing, perhaps exploiting that was done via me, my family, my administration. That's a little bit perplexing, it also says a great deal, though, about our society."

If it wasn’t for the party’s complete cluelessness on how the media was treating them, I would feel sympathy for them. But they have let the media steamroll them for 8+ years now without calling them out. Biggest PR failure in history.

IrishKay   January 8th, 2009 - 9:43 am

El Capitan – I agree, Repub’s need to get a backbone!
there are ways to ‘quiet’ the liberal media, and the repub’s missed the opportunity, big time. McCain didn’t speak up enough, lost his way, threw Palin under the bus, and doing, so lost the election. I would have ‘called out’ all democratic women, and put them on the spot – “Put your vote where your mouth is” – Palin could have done this, and should have! She better get a lot more ballsy before the next election if she wants to be POTUS!

IrishKay   January 8th, 2009 - 9:54 am

She’s still throwing out ’softballs’ – I say let them have it right between the eyes! But that is, I guess, is what being classy is all about. Palin needs to ‘grow some’.
Lib’s love abuse, hate, venom, attacks, and twisting of truth. Now is the time for Palin to just stand up, speak up, or shut up!

Dawn   January 8th, 2009 - 10:20 am

Believe the lies? No, I refuse to believe anything anyone say’s when you stand infront of the world and lie and make your family accompices. Explain the lack of CHANGE in you the whole year you we’re suppose to be pregnant! Explain why Bristol’s chest was busting out of her dress the night you announced her new pregnancy? and your chest NEVER CHANGED! You can fake alot but you fooled no-one!
The facts, as you say, are out there but you refuse to show your medical records and there in lies your downfall.
Maybe you should have let the cards fall where they may and you would not have to go back and try to set them in accordance to your own lies!

Hickok   January 8th, 2009 - 10:34 am

Dawn,
Change your medication immediately !!! You are in immediate danger of having a brain aneurism. Anyone who spends a great amount of time looking at women’s chests to prove a political conspiracy has a monster problem. If you’re so into checking out women’s chests, try looking at Rachel Madcow’s. You could fingerbang yourself whilst doing so.

Four Seasons   January 8th, 2009 - 10:40 am

“Dawn go away.”

Sean R.   January 8th, 2009 - 10:44 am

Dawn can I ask you a simple Yes or No question, do you by any means have children? When that story broke out during the campaigns, you liberal psychopath-nutjobs from hell went on the attack on Bristol Palin for being pregnant, the reason why you damn left wingnut vultures went on the attack of this poor kid is because you useful idiots don’t have children yourselves. You also don’t want to get married, keep living a narcassitic lifestyle and are sexual-deviants, so Dawn as the last poster said to you, keep checking your medications, and if that’s the case, then your either using prozac or prozac-like drugs, that’s why you posted a ignorant post!

Liberalism is a Mental Disorder!!!!!

Four Seasons,
Good one indeed. Nice to see Frankie Valli posting here. BTW, isn’t Dawn what you use to clean stinky, smelly, dirty dishes?

Dawn   January 8th, 2009 - 11:05 am

Hickok…Where exactly did I say I spent a lot of time looking? It took a total of 1 min to see that the daughter was in the Lactogenesis 3 stage at the R.N.C.. During this stage, the more that milk is removed from the breasts, the more the breast will produce milk. Draining the breasts more fully also increases the rate of milk production. Thus the milk supply is strongly influenced by how often the baby feeds and how well it is able to transfer milk from the breast.
All it takes is the ability to think for one self to see the truth!
And your comment on being gay just shows your lack of intelligence! I have no need to insult you, you did a wonderful job all by yourself!

Jack   January 8th, 2009 - 11:14 am

Nowadays the main stream media have the real power.
They wanted Obama to be president ( and not Hillary) , so ,that happened.
They( and lib shows ) promoted and shielded Obama and they bashed and mocked Sarah Palin and neglected her record.
But i am sure , if Palin was leading this campaign, it would go much better.

Deborah   January 8th, 2009 - 11:23 am

To imply that Barack Obama had a double standard about attacking family is ridiculous and factually incorrect. When Palin’s daughter’s pregnancy was announced, Obama spoke out forcefully that comments about Palin’s children were out of line and he pointed out that his own mother was 18 when she gave birth to him.

And for Palin to conflate the mainstream media with bloggers is also ridiculous. Besides, there were far more internet hate e-mails and right-wing conspiracy theories floating around about Obama than there ever were about Palin. Check out http://www.snopes.com and compare entries on Palin vs. Obama.

If I understand Palin and many conservatives correctly, it’s O.K. to lampoon Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Al Gore and other presidents or presidential candidates on Saturday Night Live or other comedy shows, but not Sarah Palin.

Palin’s contention that she should not have gone back for more Couric interviews since it went badly is puzzling as well. Every president, VP or candidate needs to learn to deal with an often hostile press as well as leaders of foreign countries. If you can’t stand the heat, or tough questions, maybe you should rethink running for office until you’re prepared to play with the big dogs.

As for Palin’s “poor little me, the ‘liberal media’ was so mean to me.” Please. Give me a break. She’s a politician and a former journalism major. She shouldn’t play dumb with her contention that the Alaska press approved when she fought corruption but was negative about other things she did. That’s the purpose of the press in a free society… to bring a light to the actions of those in government. It’s not to be the mouthpiece of the government or any politician. If you want that, read Pravda.

Bill Clinton and George Bush was not handled with kid gloves by the press and I don’t think Barack Obama will be either. To pretend that nothing negative was ever said about Barack Obama during the campaign is just ludicrous.

And let’s not even go there about the mean-spirited, racist stereotypes and conspiracy B.S. floating around the internet about Obama. For Palin to pretend that she was the only one who was the target of false and negative attacks is just laughable.

She and McCain lost because they spent most of the campaign attacking Obama, throwing out the word “socialist” or “terrorist” and NOT talking about their own plan for the country. There’s an old saying among lawyers: If you can’t argue the facts, argue the law. If you can’t argue the law, argue the facts. If you can’t argue the facts or the law, attack your opponent. That’s what McCain and Palin did.

If McCain and Palin wanted to win, they should not have wasted precious campaign time attacking Obama and using guilt by association (something McCain had his own issues with). They should have talked more about why their platform was what the country needs. They didn’t. They lost and they deserved it.

Ex-GOP   January 8th, 2009 - 11:36 am

You can only lie to the people so much in 8 years until they turn against you. The Bush administration created the liberal bloggers and attacks.

Regarding Hickok’s comment: “Dawn,
GFY, or Rachel Maddow. Or Debbie, perhaps. Do you lezzies think Caroline Kennedy’s qualified?”

Hickok, this is the best you can do? I’ve heard better insults from first-grade children. Are you incapable of contributing an intelligent comment to the discussion? Apparently so. And what does Caroline Kennedy have to do with this discussion?

Hickok   January 8th, 2009 - 11:52 am

Deb,
Ouch, that hurt. “Contributing an intelligent comment to the discussion?” Is that what you think you’re doing? Your loony comment about “Guilt by association” shows what a lib moron you are. Close associations with an unapologetic terrorist and racist minister, are relevent Debbie Dear. Oh yeah, he got a sweetheart land deal with the biggest crook in Illinois, Rezko. Go to the Huffington Post or the Daily Kos, if you want people to agree with your nutty theories.

Ha! I must say it’s so much fun jumping on this site to hear all the whiners. The best damned comedy on the net. Us Dems pray to God that you neocons have this bimbo run again. For sure it will be even more of a landslide win for the Dems! Anyone wanna bet? I sure won more $ than ever off of all my right wing wacko friends for this past election. Their still licking their wounds in disbelief! But the fact is that the Repunklicants have driven this country into an abys of debt after inheriting a surplus. The American people were not going to fall for 4 more years of even further right wing necon wackos! It’s the 2000’s people, not the 1950’s! Get with the program! In the mean time we STRONGLY encourage you to bring Palin and that other paranoid cow Coultergeist on! Ha, ha, ha! I need to win even more $ off of my dear conservative friends! Cry pretty all you whiners!

Matt   January 8th, 2009 - 1:21 pm

I find the continuing remarks about the Palin baby more proof of the left’s pure, visceral hatred on anything that doesn’t march in step with their abort first beliefs. If Palin would have had her daughter abort the child, the left would have loved her for it. And Jimbo, your glee may be short lived. Your party hasn’t sworn in your president and there’s scandal swirling daily. You think the Dems are pure? Yeah, I saw the video on how stupid the Dems were, not even knowing the Democrats controlled congress. Now, we have the entitlement crowd voting in their saviour. Stupid, lazy democrats voting themselves welfare raises. Wonderful.

It is obvious that this idiot(hickok) has a problem with women with brains. Maybe his mother did some really bad things to him in his adult years he still can’t come to terms with! Maybe if you had a mother who wasn’t a lessie you would not hate them so? Just a guess from your hateful comments! Or maybe, he is just a pussy trying to be a man and failing miserably!
My take on the idiot is he can’t get any pussy!

Hickok   January 8th, 2009 - 2:19 pm

Ha!!! “Women with brains?” The type who study other women’s tits to see if their pregnant? Or the type who say “Guilt by association is meaningless?” Oh, and my hateful comments? “Mother was a lessie?”(Can’t even spell properly)I’d call you hypocritical libs, at the expense of using a redundancy. If you call those types “Women with brains”, then I’ll take a pass. Estrogen has been clinically proven to distort rational thinking. The only men “Women” like Deb and Dawn could get, are phaggs like Jimbo.

Why is telling the truth not on the table?
IN YOUR MIND, taking responsibility for your own actions means she should have aborted?
Where did anyone say she should have done that?
“let the cards fall where they may” means to accept and deal with. It does not mean ABORTION!
And anyone who questions that the baby was not Bristol’s, your just plain stupid and blind!

Hickok   January 8th, 2009 - 3:28 pm

Had my best laugh of the week just now. either Deb or Dawn posting ficticiously suggest my Mom was a “lessie.” Nice spelling. I’m also accused by these two of hateful comments. I guess calling one’s Mom a name isn’t hateful. Dawn makes a judgement after carefully studying the Palin womens’ tits. That’s freakin normal. I suggest these two could only have a successful relationship with a “Male” like Jimbo. What weirdos. I guess Huffington and the Daily Cos was malfunctioning today.

Hickok   January 8th, 2009 - 3:29 pm

Breitbart..If you wanna moderate something, moderate Dawn’s obsession with women’s breasts !!!!

Laura   January 8th, 2009 - 3:47 pm

The main stream media were deeply in the tank of Obama.
Independent research (PEW) showed that clearly.
And bashing and mocking Palin and her family was part of that bias.
The most important reason Obama won this election was, because he had the support of the main stream media.
Without these support Obama was lost.
So, why denying this fact.

Wow! Comments on here really got crazy! I do not believe in either political party, it only causes people to focus on the party and not the issues. Comments on here just verified that as do most of what’s out there. You people need to think about if Palin or Obama were not of any party, as if we didn’t have the party system in this country, how would you have voted? Remember, we had Obama, who has NO political experience whatsover VS Palin, while not having tons of experience, AT LEAST has been in charge of several high level political offices.

And, Palin was running for VICE president, NOT PRESIDENT! People in this country better wake up and smell the political stink before we DON’T HAVE A COUNTRY ANYMORE!! This election of Obama may well be the start of the downfall of this COUNTRY AS WE KNOW IT!

CHANGE? All I see is the reenactment of the Clinton years! OH NO!! PLEASE NO!

WISE UP AMERICA!! KEEP IT UP AND YOU’RE GOING TO SEE THAT YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO HAVE YOUR OWN LIFE ANYMORE! All that will be left is whatever your NEW GOVT WANTS you to have, if any!!!

Disappointed in the citizens of this once wonderful country. I SAY…LET’S CLOSE OUR DOORS AND START CLEANING UP THE SCUM WE’VE ALREADY LET IN!!

Jack   January 9th, 2009 - 4:07 am

There is so much gossip and slander spread about Sarah Palin by the media and bloggers, that people can’t see the facts anymore and are talking nonsense about Sarah Palin.
When you do your own research ,you will see that Sarah Palin has a impressive record to show for.
The only thing you have to do is looking to the facts!! … and not listen to gossip and slander about her and her family.

Sean R.   January 9th, 2009 - 10:58 am

Jack, you know that Liberals are crazy people with no brain-cells, that’s why you got folks here like Jimbo, Dawn and Debbie spouting stupid BS garbage about Sarah Palin and her family. And I think that these three useful idiot (Jimbo, Debbie and Dawn) don’t have children, not married, single and not looking for a partner, or there just using prozac or prozac like medications? As I’ve said at the end of my post that “Liberalism is a Mental Disorder” and it proves that ignorant left wingnut-jobs who post here with BS and expect the rest of us to take their dumbasses serioulsy.

Liberalism is a Mental Disorder!!!!!

Truthbknown   January 9th, 2009 - 11:09 am

Judging from the latest hysterical blatherings by Sarah Palin and her taunts at the media to hold Caroline Kennedy up to the same scrutiny that she was subjected to it is clear that she doesn’t understand the difference between running for the vice presidency and that of filling an interim two-year term as a U.S. senator.

Katie Curic asked Sarah Palin which newspapers she read and Palin couldn’t come up with a single one. Most people might think that was a temporary block since anyone running for high office must have read something. The point is, however, Sarah Palin’s latest outburst against the media vindicates Curic’s attempts to get some thread of information about a person sitting one heartbeat away from the presidency.

If, for example, Palin had read Time Magazine’s Karen Tumulty’s article,The Quest for Camelot II, where she wrote, “…the salient biographical fact about Caroline Kennedy — let alone the reason to seriously consider her candidacy for the Senate — is her last name” she would have known there have been plenty of questions regarding Caroline Kennedy’s qualifications. Other major publications including the Washington Post, New York Times and The Economist have posed similar questions.

Sarah Palin’s latest painful complaints underscore the shallowness that typifies the Republican Base, that solid 20% that marginalized John McCain’s bid for the White House and the main reason why he lost on November 4.

usaisnum1   January 12th, 2009 - 7:46 pm

Truthbknown is dillusional. Sarah Palin did not answer that question because it was the most stupid question to ask. Couric is not a true journalist or news anchor in any way, shape or form. She is an embarrassment! She would not have asked that question of any one else. She was talking DOWN to Sarah and that question did not DESERVE an answer. That was Mrs. Palin’s point. You cannot get to the standing that she is without reading. If you look at the true Sarah Palin, you would see how very intelligent she really is! And, I’m sure she reads probably more than Couric!! Couric will never get me to watch her because she is so far left, it is ridiculous. I only listen to news or read articles that are truly unbiased. As soon as I hear or see bias, I stop and usually do not read/watch that journalist again. In the media today, that is very hard to find. It is a challenge more and more every day. Thank goodness for Fox News!! I wish the rest of the USA would wake up and see the media for what it truly is…just a bunch of overpaid Hollywood Elites!

Paul B   January 14th, 2009 - 1:31 am

I love Sarah Palin.

She should be a story to repeat and strive for.

From humble beginnings she rose until now, at this point, the sitting governor ( boss for the morons ) of a state of vast energy, food and defensive responsibilities.

It is also a state where the constituents have to be more of a part of their well-being, not likely to be admired from the dependency crowd.

She also believes in reforms that would lessen the need ( I like to say fired because of the shear waste of it all ) and combat the size of our federal monopoly.

Another major fact that the hand-out crowd wont take well too.

And since she has fought corruption in her own state, her gaining a position of greater responsibilty wont gain favor with the larcenous MFers who just pillaged the national treasure and are coming back for more.

usaisnum1   January 14th, 2009 - 2:28 am

Gee “Dr.” Jordan? I thought Drs were supposed to be intelligent!!! “…was so afraid she might have uttered…”? What you said made no sense. You have no clue what you’re talking about. Sarah Palin will be back and when she does come back, we’ll be ready to give her the respect she deserved this first time out. Too bad you’re not intelligent enough to see that. Sarah may not have the bad “Dr” in front of her name, but I’m sure she would register much higher than you on the IQ score scale! You obviously haven’t researched a bit of truth about her. Think for yourself next time and don’t just spout off the lefts’ stereotypical rhetoric.
