Well…there they are America!

Left to right…Grandpa Bush, the Nation of Islam’s Messiah, President Bush, Slick Willie Clinton and last but not least…Jimmy (Hamas) Carter!

Let’s all stand up and clap, America, these are the men responsible for where we are today!

IrishKay   January 7th, 2009 - 2:27 pm

I hope they scared the crap out of him! The real job is ahead, not the campaigning- that obama needs to stop, and stop it now. Photo-ops don’t make a president. Vague inflammatory statements don’t either. Someone give obama a clue, but first – let’s see your birth certificate! He’ll come out of that meeting with a lot more gray hairs, especially when he finds out that he’s just a puppet of the Jewish money people who actually run everything in this country, and abroad!

johnny   January 7th, 2009 - 2:27 pm

clinton’s profound remark at the end:

“i love this rug.”

Notmycountryanymore   January 7th, 2009 - 2:30 pm

That photo op looks like they are standing before a firing squad – mmmmmm

IrishKay   January 7th, 2009 - 2:37 pm

Let’s just break this photo down………………..

On the left we have Bush daddy #41 – he wants a 1 world government

Next to him is Obama, an ineligible president-elect who thumbs his nose at the constitution and wants to abolish states rights

Then there’s Bush boy #43 – who tried to fix Clinton’s dismantling of our armed forces to create a false surplus

And then there’s Clinton – , cigar-toting, impeached former president who KNOWS Obama is ineligible, but sold his soul to get his wife a cabinet seat

And Carter – who’s only claim to fame is building houses that are falling down around the occupants ears as we speak!

There it is, the backbone of this country, the elite, our leaders, what a shame, and a disgrace.
I guess the old saying, “Fool me once…. fell on millions of deaf ears, again!

Lee   January 7th, 2009 - 2:41 pm

Why in the world was Jimmy Carter included? He’s nothing but an embarrassment to all the people who have to admit they voted for the traitor.

LK   January 7th, 2009 - 2:46 pm

Wow! Barry spoke all his words without a teleprompter!

Old Bubba didn’t disappoint – still a goofy mouth breather!

Kavan   January 7th, 2009 - 2:55 pm

If this was a staged photo… which it is.. one might want to take a look at the visual cues being sent out:

Obama, the symbol of progressive change flanked on either side by Bush and Bush Jr., all three wearing the same blue tie.

Clinton in the wings, the unbalanced fourth wheel trying to get into the shot and Carter a few steps out from the bunch, either because he knows he unwelcome or because he just doesn’t care, both at odds with the future president and his ushers, wearing red.

Who was the lady in the kitchen with the soup on the stove? That poor dear missed a once-in-a-lifetime chance to get some real use out of that old varmint powder underneath the sink.

Torch Bearer   January 7th, 2009 - 3:14 pm

All the men standing there should be honored to stand with Carter. The failure of his administration was his lack of political sophistication. All of the others triangulated, compromised and bobbed and weaved to avoid telling the American people the truth about where this country was headed. The sense that our nation was going to live forever on cheap gas and the memory of post World War II American hegemony was an illusion that was coming clear in the 1970s. Americans instead swallowed the blue pill and voted for the man who is missing in this gathering, but who is most responsible for where we find ourselves. Ronald Reagan and the ignorant know nothings he unleashed in the American body politic. Reagan turned us away from a serious energy policy and fuel conservation, tougher gas mileage standards for American automakers, “free market” policies that allowed American corporations freedom to move their operations overseas and massive illegal immigration while taking the rights from American workers with union busting tactics, conducted illegal wars in Central America, got us into all kinds of messes in the Arab world from the advised against use of Marines as peacekeepers in Lebanon to illegal CIA assassination attempts in Algiers to selling arms to the Iranians while looking the other way while Iraq used chemical weapons in 1983 to supporting the Pakistani ISI’s Islamicization of Afghanistan.

Ronald Reagan, whose embrace of discredited “trickle down” economics whose main proponent, David Stockman, disowned the theory while Reagan was still in office and which George H. W. Bush denounced as “voodoo economics” while running against Reagan, led to disastrous shifts in the nation’s spending… Reagan who claimed credit for Jimmy Carter’s buildup of the U.S. Navy but who spent so much on nuclear arms that our military still hasn’t upgraded simple weapons systems like rifles, artillery, and armored cars in a generation leading directly to the deaths of troops in Iraq. Who stripped away government investment in basic scientific research and infrastructure improvements.

When Bush Jr. ran.. it was said.. he was more like Reagan than his father. You can say that again… 16 years of Reagan and Bush II with Bush I and Clinton having to respond to and ameliorate the massive damage done to our nation and economy by the utter mishandling of this government by the two administrations bookending their own. Let me give a special shout out to another Rethuglican bum.. Jesse Helms who recently left us. Jesse Helms blocked legislation in many areas that are biting us right now. He spent his time withdrawing the U.S. from engagement in the UN .. decades when the ability of that organization to truly effect world events with the guiding hand of a United States committed to its principles.. and thus moving us towards the disconnection and isolation that, in an age of globalized networked terrorism, is as dangerous as it was before WWII.

Heck of a job, Republicans. History will judge Carter much better than either Reagan or Bush and it is he who Obama should be keeping close to.. having learned the lessons of political skill.. but remembering that the U.S. must always hold it’s principles earnestly as a torch that shall bring light to the world.. NOT a shining city on the hill drawing energy and wealth from a world watching amidst ignorance and starvation!

I wonder of they ate crow?

Chris Jones   January 7th, 2009 - 3:41 pm

Say what you want about president Bush, but he’s been a class act from the day he walked into the White House.

People can continue to deride and insult him, but I’m proud that he’s been my president and proud to have voted for him twice.

Karen   January 7th, 2009 - 3:53 pm

Can’t be just a koinky-dink that Carter is so far removed from that group in this photograph. No one wanted to be standing next to that toxic waste dump. I understand that inhabitants of one of Carter’s latest attrocities are suing the Peanut Boy because he located his little housing project on top of a dump. Folks are digging as little as a foot below their subbasements and discovering refuse. Niiiice Jimmie!

i am proud of my president. he is a good man and honest man. say whatever you want about him lik ethe media..but i belive history will judge him diffrently

Torch Bearer you could not be more wrong. The Community Reinvestment Act (Carter), coupled with the fleccing of Fannie/Freddie by democrats who turned a deaf ear, or labeled as anti-poor/minority those who warned the lending practices of Fannie/Freddie were highly risky for years is the cause of our problems. You can try to rewrite history all you want, you can try to “scrub” the internet of references to how much money was given to dems by Fannie/Freddie, you can try to cover the historical record of legistaltion introduced multiple times over the last 10 years that would have stabilized Fannie/Freddie that was stymied by dems, you can try to hide the fact that the Banking Committee (Dodd) cronies strong armed banks into making risky loans….but the truth is & always will be known. Always. The media is not as powerful as it once was, nobody trusts them anymore.

Gabriel   January 7th, 2009 - 4:07 pm

LOL @ Clinton: “I love this rug”

And what memories were running through his head when he said that? :)

Jill   January 7th, 2009 - 4:11 pm

Torch Bearer is a numbskull.

Chris Jones, how could you be “proud” that GWB gave over the government on all levels to Socialists because he didn’t remain firm on conservatism? A successful Republican president does not lose for his party to the depths that GWB has.

And he still hasn’t pardoned Ramos and Compean.

I tell ya, if Obama would do that, he would guarantee a lot of good will toward himself from his current political foes.

Just wondering Torch what kind of kool-aid your drinking….Have you noticed that oil and gas prices are down over 60%…Get off your liberal punch drunk, do some responsible research and deviate from this ignorant leftist diatribe.

Missing Man   January 7th, 2009 - 5:06 pm

Unfortunately the greatest president of the late 20th century Ronald Reagan isn’t there. To me it’s like the missing elephant in the room.

P.S. Has Carter shrunk or is just me?

Eileen for Freedom/Liberty   January 7th, 2009 - 5:10 pm

Torch Bearer aka Amy Carter!

Regan and Ford were smart and cut out early.

yougogirl   January 7th, 2009 - 6:06 pm

To Torch Bearer:

THANK YOU! You are a breath of badly needed fresh air on this thread. I never could see what the worship of the “messiah” Reagan was all about. The Republicans and unfortunately too many Americans believed in him. I admire Pres. Carter because he a man of honor and integrity.

Jill   January 7th, 2009 - 6:39 pm

Obviously yougogirl confuses the smell of fresh air to the smell of f-e-c-e-s. That’s the only smell coming from stupid Torch Bearer.

Eileen for Freedom/Liberty   January 7th, 2009 - 7:04 pm

Socialist/communistic “new” Democratic definition for “change” = same ol…same ol!
=======================

Dear yougogirl…let me correct you on something…never…ever did Louis Farrakhan the leader of the Nation of Islam bestow upon the late great President Ronald Reagan the title of “Messiah”!

He did, however, pronounce that declaration upon your new leader…now known as the Nation of Islam’s Messiah.

You see by bestowing that title on the “man” known as Barack Hussein Soetoro Obama…he has said to all Muslims that this is the “man” they have been waiting for…the one they were looking for…their Savior…their Messiah…the one that would lead Muslims out of bondage and give Muslims superiority over others.

That is why your new leader has that title, not former President Reagan.

Should make all of America stand up and take notice…but not many do…unfortunately…not many do…until it will be too late!

========================

JUST ANOTHER CHAPTER IN THE “REIGN OF BARRY HUSSEIN”!

idsandy   January 7th, 2009 - 7:33 pm

yougogirl

Carter is one of the least honorable presidents in our history. He was a one termer due to his incompetence. He’s bitter, mean and nasty.

“W” has ten times the class and instinctive kindness than any of the others, especially after the way the Clinton administration staff trashed the White House offices as their welcome to the new Bush administration in 2001. Does anyone remember the destruction of gov’t property and complete chaos and lack of respect for the White House? It was so immature!

By hosting this luncheon for Obama it shows the goodness of Bush and his respect for the Office of the President. However, he has been poisoned with propaganda by the liberal media, the DC establishment and the Democrats. History will be much kinder to Bush than our short-sited, ill-educated and basically too lazy to probe deeper into issues than 5 minute sound bites, contemporary populace. Bush wasn’t perfect, but he was far better than our other choices: Gore & Kerry.

Reuben   January 7th, 2009 - 8:05 pm

I thought the president showed respect by hosting this lunch. It can only benefit the country for the president elect to hear some advice from past presidents. Obama will soon be our sitting president, let’s show some class by supporting him and show the world that we can rise above politics. I did not vote for O, but I wish him the very best. God Bless the USA.

Strider   January 7th, 2009 - 8:50 pm

The majority of the commenters’ here are sooo f’n biased they can’t see the trees for the forest!

Anyway, I must comment that of all gathered today Jimmy Carter is, without a doubt, the man with the highest integrity. And when it come to how history will see each of them Carter will stand head and shoulders above the rest because he saw the future and tried to do something about it. If only we had heeded his advice regarding energy just think where this country would be today!

“Have you noticed that oil and gas prices are down over 60%” ?!? Have you noticed that the world economy is in the tank??? Not to mention the environmental tragedy that is unfolding. Let’s get off the oil spigot and start developing renewable energy and we won’t be throwing money away plus we’ll minimize our foreign policy and military problems. C’mon people, wake up!

Strider   January 7th, 2009 - 8:54 pm

OBTW. “By hosting this luncheon for Obama it shows the goodness of Bush and his respect for the Office of the President” ??? The meeting was arranged at the suggestion of Obama!

wolfman   January 7th, 2009 - 8:58 pm

If you think we’ll get anything different than more of the same, I’m afraid you’re sadly mistaken.

all hail the NWO!

idsandy   January 7th, 2009 - 9:43 pm

OBTW – Obama doesn’t live in the White House. Did this luncheon take place somewhere else? It would be interesting to learn how he planned a White House luncheon. Nice try! Bush was obviously the host for this event.

TexasLady   January 7th, 2009 - 9:55 pm

Clinton and company trashed the West Wing when they moved out, and he and Hillary walked out with who-knows-what all from the White House and tried to stay on the stage as long as they could by taking FOREVER to leave on inauguration day. President Bush 41 and Mrs. Bush gave a cordial goodbye and flew home to Houston. My family and I were fortunate to see them land. President Bush 43 has seemingly done his best to aid president-elect Obama as he assumes the presidency. Like his father before him, I am sure he will bid D.C. a cordial goodbye and flew home to Texas. Now, just who is the class act???

fande3rls   January 7th, 2009 - 10:41 pm

I fell like being mean right now so…
I was hopeing one of them was going to beyach slap carter .

Marie   January 7th, 2009 - 10:46 pm

I agree with what “Eileen For Freedom” said so much that I am just going to copy and paste it for my comment too…

Ps..Bill Clinton really likes the rug…and they all lie like a rug..isn;t it ironic.

Spread The Wealth   January 7th, 2009 - 11:01 pm

If you listen very closely, right after Bill says “I love this rug” he whispers to Bush “I had Monica on her knees right where you’re standing”

Johnny   January 7th, 2009 - 11:25 pm

THE PRESIDENTS OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. That’s the name of a band. Remember? They missed out on a great opportunity. They could have sung the song: “gonna move out to the country, gonna eat a lot of peaches…”

Poking Lefties in the eye   January 7th, 2009 - 11:39 pm

Basically all I see are a father and a son and 3 future days off. If you work for the government you’ll know what I mean. :P

claspur   January 8th, 2009 - 12:44 am

….and the Lewinsky BJ corridor was Stage-Left from Slick Willy in the Snap?

See, they’re all one stinking F-bucket of one party now.
Myself, I didn’t read enough 10-12 years ago to understand that what I’m seeing now was no BS.

This country is in Ultra Danger now.
Rather anyone disagrees, or not….just watch what happens to us all in 1-3 years time.

Grow a brain between now and 2010, and vote some, or most of the US Senate communists-out anyway…give us all some air….and oh yeah, keep your powder dry. ;o)
