Reid is correct. First Blagojevich wanted to use the Senate seat appointment to his financial advantage, and now he is trying to use the appointment to his advantage in another way….to divert attention from his developing legal problems. Either way, the appointment is tainted. If Burris had any character, he would have declined the appointment.

He has no credibility to stop anyone who has legally been appointed to enter the Senate floor to take their rightful seat!

America, this proves my theory that if Burris was a crooked “Chicago machine” politician you would not see this fight to keep him out of the Senate.

But the Governor of Illinois, who has only been accused not convicted or charged of any crime, legally did his duty. Probably in the first time in his career he appointed an “honest” man to fill the seat once occupied by another “Chicago machine” man…the Nation of Islam’s Messiah!

A brilliant move to stick his finger in the eye of the Democratic machine that wants to pick and choose their members into office.

This certifies that Burris is an “honest” man and not one of them.

Let him be seated…if he is not…you guarantee a fight to the Supreme Court…where it will be determined that he “must” legally be seated!

Everyone, Harry included, needs to face the facts. Rod is STILL the governor of Illinois. Until he is removed from office, he has the legal and lawful right to appoint Obama’s replacement.

Reid and the rest of the Democrats have no legal basis to block Burris, only one they create ad-hoc, based not on law, but personal judgment, which is subject to all the prejudices that are inherent in such determinations. Now we discover that Reid called The Blag and tried to block the appointment of ANY black to the seat.
