Obama: ‘We Should Maintain’ Viable Auto Industry

"I think Congress was right to say that the taxpayers expect and deserve better than that before they are stepping up to the plate for any kind of bailout."

YES, So where IS this VIABLE auto company? Not making union labor autos in the USA!! No loan to these blood suckers. Take bankruptcy and recover, or sell the assets to a foreign manufacturer to hire US workers to build cars in the USA. Who cares who OWN it, GMC is owned by shareholders all over the world, not by the USA.

Here is what the US automakers can do outside the USA. Until they can do the same here, they should be allowed to fail. They are killing America, and do not deserve money that is not given by pure investors. They do not pass the “gift test” right now…they are not worth taking for free!

Compelling reason to NOT bail out the auto industry]

Notice the statement at the end that says that the UAW will NOT ALLOW a
factory like this to be built in the U.S.!

We already have a viable auto industry producing high quality vehicles in the USA, made by UAW workers. These Big 3 are called Honda, Toyota, and Nissan.

Let Detroit go bankrupt–it’ll reorganize and restructure their labor and retirement contracts to be more reasonable like the foreign makers operating in the U.S. Then, maybe they will be competitive.

Stop rewarding failure with taxpayer money!

Well he||, my retirement account has evaporated, so I think it’s perfectly reasonable for me to be asked to pay for the retired union member’s retirement account with my taxes.

Socialist/communistic “new” Democratic definition for “change” = same ol…same ol!
==================

And make them a company headed by Barry Hussein as CEO/President?

Bailouts should have never, ever been made to Wall Street and/or Citicorp or anyone else.

Somebody please take reponsibility for something!

Somebody please take responsibility for anything!

If you headed that company when it headed into problems, use your creativity to get you out of it!

That is free enterprise and democracy!

Make it work or fail and try again!

JUST ANOTHER CHAPTER IN THE “FOUR YEAR REIGN OF BARRY HUSSEIN”!

“GMC is owned by shareholders all over the world, not by the USA.”

God Bless you for your wisdom RUFUS! As sharp as I sometimes am, that did not occur to me. I mean, I knew that, but I never thought it. One more argument against using tax dollars for this.
