ABC stinks……period..Charles Gibson is old and should retire. He is not objective. ABC is not on my viewing list.

God speed Mr President and First Lady!

I voted for you twice, but have not always agreed with your policies and/or decisions, but I have always respected the office that you have held for eight years.

You’ve taken alot of barbs throughout the years, and now it is time for a break. You have taken your criticism well, and I commend you for that also!

Have a great retirement…you deserve it!

GOD BLESS AMERICA THE LAND OF THE FREE AND THE HOME OF THE BRAVE…MAY OUR GOD CONTINUE TO BLESS OUR GREAT NATION AS WE LOOK TO “HIM” FOR GUIDANCE!

Drano   December 1st, 2008 - 3:02 pm

He hasn’t been IN the limelight in almost 8 years. When he was elected Gov of Texas he disappeared altogether from the public eye. Nothing. Apparently his handlers kept him under cover and out of sight so people would not know what they were about to be offered as a presidential candidate.

President Bush, a true gentleman, we’ll not see as good a man again.

Azul Del Fuego   December 1st, 2008 - 3:24 pm

Unlike that last ex-president we had, I imagine Mr Bush will be deferrential and considerate to the new president – regardless of whether he supports his policies or not. I always thought it was embarrasing to have Bill Clinton trying to grab headlines when he “disagreed” with President Bush.

The Banned Pa&triot   December 1st, 2008 - 3:27 pm

Bush, Cheney and his other close aids will move out of the U.S. within 6 months! Out of the long arm of the law and the public wrath!!!!

His daughter acted as agent two years ago under a peace corp trip to Paraguay and they purchased 20K acres surrounded by a military base!!!

luckybear   December 1st, 2008 - 3:28 pm

Good shrub now you can take a permanent vacation. I never want to see this idiot again. Think of it, the worst president of the last 110 years. In our life times we’ve gotten to experience a president 10x worse than Jimmy Carter. George W. Bush destroyed our rights, sullied our image, doubled the nationally debt, destroyed the economy, did nothing during a hurricane, expanded government. He also had a terrorist attack on his watch. He made no one safer. Stubborn, incopetenet, spent more $ than any president of all time. A complete failure of anything. A wasted 8 years and DOUBLE the national debt. Thanks “conservatives”.

Only Eileen the delusional can support these two fools.

He finally got something right!   December 1st, 2008 - 3:30 pm

It is definitely time for him to get off the stage. The senior Mr. Bush and Mr. Clinton were welcomed by the World community with open arms when they showed up for disaster relief functions. This guy will be denied a visa.

Go back to Crawford, “W”, clear brush, and never darken our doorways again.

Charles in charge   December 1st, 2008 - 3:34 pm

Maybe Bush can go ‘hide away’ in the same cave Bin Laden is holed up in…but then, that’s right, Bush could find it………Happy trails you yeah hoo.

JLow   December 1st, 2008 - 3:34 pm

God bless you and your family during your retirement. I have always admited the fact you have been a man of faith. I voted for you twice and pray the incoming Pres have a quarter of your dedication to our beloved America as you have shown. Thank you Sir for your dedication and desire to love your country as you have. Pray for the incoming President who will surely need to learn some Godly ways. I think it has been very rude of Mr. Obama to rush into work already without showing more respect to our current President at least until Jan 20th. God speed and as a fellow Texan “Thank you Sir”.

Leslie in Texas   December 1st, 2008 - 3:40 pm

JLow, what a foolish post! Mr. Obama must ‘rush’ in to work prior to Jan. 20. because if you haven’t noticed, we are in a mess thanks primarily to your hero, George Bush.

Too bad he can’t leave office now and allow someone with some brains and critical thinking skills to take over.

revhatchell   December 1st, 2008 - 3:44 pm

war crimes tend to keep people in the “limelight”

keep celebrating this criminal, by all means.

the disjointed logic will be studied for generations.

“My” biggest regret of the Bush presidency was the ‘intelligence failure’ in the oval office. There is a reason he will go down in history as the worst president, folks, it is because he made many many many many many huge mistakes.

So will you apply that to Clinton who had the same intelligence and came to the same conclusion? Would you say that the previous UN security council was the worst since they had the same intelligence and came to the same conclusion? How about the rest of the world who had the same intelligence and came to the same conclusion?

If you read Obamas current policies (yes they will change with the winds) they are almost mirror to Bushs’.

What action by Bush shows lack of critical thinking? Check your emotions on this one.

President Bush and First Lady;
Thank you for caring for us and those that are too blind and ignorant to see how much you love this country and also for the ignorant ones that don’t have a clue. You are an honest and humble man, and those that spew hatred are full of hate and don’t see good in anything. When all our rights are gone maybe some will reflect back and realize, there was more to life than a hand out.

Krystal   December 1st, 2008 - 4:05 pm

God bless George Bush and family and may they have a wonderful and fruitful retirement. They handled the vile smears and a souless media with such grace. He has been considerate to the incoming President, a consideration he was never shown. Obama doesnt even go to church or anything on the weekend – he works out. A secular, egotistical man…but I hope those of us who respect Pres Bush will flood the White House with greetings of goodbye and good luck via letters and postcards. Make up for the horrible treatment this man received regardless of whether you agree with him or not, he did not deserve that sort of hatred. But then the left is full of hate.

doogle   December 1st, 2008 - 4:25 pm

BUSH = IDIOT   December 1st, 2008 - 5:43 pm

Bush gave PAKISTAN Billions of dollars, BUSH kept the Borders WIDE OPEN, Bush successfully Kil!!! Sadam Hueseein and his 2 sons, BRAVO!

Now, LEAVE PLEASE and go back to Crawford so Obama can have his CRISIS moment and we can see how he reacts!

God help us!

grik   December 1st, 2008 - 6:55 pm

Bush was never suited for the Presidency. It is only too bad that he realized it so late.

May nobody ever hear of him again.

Sammy   December 1st, 2008 - 7:05 pm

WAR MONGER, WAR CRIMINAL. IMPEACH! IMPEACH! Letting this man and his cronies get away with it is criminal in itself.

This man should never have entered politics in the first place. An accidental president who has done irreparable harm to this country and the world.

Jarhead   December 1st, 2008 - 7:46 pm

Mr. Bush,
Thanks for prosecuting a so-called war on terror while keeping our farsical borders utterly unsecured and imprisoning our hero border patrol agents who dared to defend them and us from criminal alien drug smugglers.
Invade the world, invite the world, be in debt to the world.
You’ve done more to foment the dissolution of our nation than one would have thought humanly possible. There’s little or nothing left. Your legacy is secure.
Signed Former Marine Officer & Paleo Conservative.

Bob B   December 1st, 2008 - 8:26 pm

The only thing that Bushy has accomplished is that he is keeping the unemployment rate lower than it really is, because he is keeping our soldiers engaged in a war that shouldn’t have happened. If these boys were all back home and looking for employment, only God knows what the real unemployment rate would be.

Beat it-Bush   December 1st, 2008 - 9:36 pm

Scram you war monger. Hide away, hide your shame away from my sight. You and your lousy judgement which has ruined so much just need to leave……………finally!

cablegirl   December 2nd, 2008 - 9:05 am

President Bush has kept this country free of terror snce 9/11. That should mean something to all of you disrespectful people! History will surprise all of you doubters, mark my words. We will also gain an Angry Black Woman as first lady. Bless you both President Bush And Mrs. Bush.

Sheila   December 3rd, 2008 - 10:49 am

luckybear – Eileen’s comments were classy and moderated.

She is not delusion …. but YOU are!

Sonya B.   December 3rd, 2008 - 11:01 am

My, my Bush derangement syndrome continues!

I have been no fan of his presidency, but I also understand that his greatest handicap was his poor communication skills, the constant slandering by the media, and his inability or unwillingness to make his case.

Obama is a complete unknown. America has elected a man it knows nothing about and expects him to do miracles. But considering the blind devotion many have towards him, you’d think he was the messiah.

The next four years will be quite eye-opening for all of you, I’m certain of that.
