CNN: Communist News Network, it’s always been plain to see. Hopefully jane and ted will recieve their just rewards for eternity. NOT FORGOTTEN!
JamesNovember 30th, 2008 - 10:15 pm
Yes Ted, the Russians are so tolerant, we should have just sat down with them “without preconditions†after WWII and tried to understand them better. Maybe then we could have understood that they were militant nationalist communists, as if their re-arming wasn’t clear enough. Too bad we didn’t have Lord Obama ruling America in 1945. Maybe we could have understood Hitler better; then we would know why the Jews, etc. had to die, and why Hitler should have ruled the world. If only we had Obama then. I guess we should all be thankful we are graced with Hussein Obama’s presence now. Oh wait. I thought that all these wars and all suffering in the world would end if we elected Obama? … Go back to the nursing home Ted.

No wonder him and Jane got along so well! Both are comrades in the socialist/communistic “new” Democratic party! Isn’t love grand!
I would venture to say that the Russian citizens who felt the wrath of the KGB would disagree with him!

He has a ghostwritten book to sell. It would be interesting if his outsells Comrade Pelosi’s. He has clearly lost what is left of his mind.(”Ted?”…it’s Putin!, Hey, thanks for the shout out!!!).

Why do we pay attention to rich people when they’ve clearly gone off the deep end ?
If Tedddy didn’t have money, he’d be considered that crazy uncle we keep hidden in the corner so he doesn’t embarrass us…

It is ironic, and sad, Teddy admires a system that in the time of the KGB he wouldn’t be allowed to make the money he did.
And he’d be thrown in the gulag for his anti-country statements he continually makes…
.
John DodgeNovember 30th, 2008 - 11:17 pm
Teddy Turner is getting softer in the head if that is possible. To compare the FBI to the Komitat is like comparing Mother Theresa to Adolph Hitler. But Teddy is the same sicko that gave us the Communist News Network. Maybe his illness was caught fro Hanoi Jane?

How did someone so stupid make so much money ?

“Come on now, Ted started out as a stupid millionaire now he’s a stupid billionaire!”
What I’d like to know is how someone so disconnected from reality didnt go from stupid millionaire to stupid penniless person.
the cia has tortured and killed thousands in south america alone and at this very moment we are operating illegal prisons and detaining people indefinitely with no charges.
our president is an international war criminal.
who speaks of honor?
the naivete of this place is charming.
U.R. DreamingDecember 1st, 2008 - 12:06 am
Revhatchell:
You are another of the useful idiots who spew the Marxist lines that you have been taught.
The CIA has NOT tortured and killed THOUSANDS in South America and I challenge you to prove your claim!
We do not run “ILLEGAL” prisons around the world. Another false claim.
We do not detain “people” indefinitely without charges. We detain TERRORISTS and ILLEGAL COMBATANTS until we can determine if they have intelligence value and what charges we can prosecute them on.
Start telling the truth for a change revhatchet.
Max FriedmanDecember 1st, 2008 - 12:19 am
Oh Teddie. I guess being a concentration camp guard or an SS soldier or a Gestapo agent was also an honorable job.
Tell that to my relatives who died at their hands in Lemberg, Belzec concentration camp and Auschwitz.
As to why Turner is a nut, I think one of his racing-yacht booms hit him in the head one too many times. It is a shame that it didn’t knock him overboard for shark bait, but even sharks have some taste.
By the way, posters, there are many marxist millionaires in US history, including some of the Rockefellers, Cummings, Fords, Corliss Lamont, DJ Bernstein, and George Soros (who also served the Germans as a Kapo during WW2).
Their game is power and manipulation, not patriotism or sanity. Money cannot buy you either of the latter. You have to have a soul to possess both of them. These men have none.
MJSDecember 1st, 2008 - 12:38 am
El Jay, he was born into wealth, into an already wealthy family, that’s how. His Father owned and ran a successful billboard business. He worked for his Father untill his Father committed suicide (in 1963). Ted took over the entire business, and expanded it from there.
From wikipedia:
“Turner’s media empire began with his father’s billboard business, which he took over at 24 after his father’s suicide.[4] The business, Turner Outdoor Advertising, was worth $1 million when Turner took it over in 1963. Purchase of an Atlanta UHF station in 1970 began the Turner Broadcasting System”
The REAL mystery is, what with his disconnection from reality, how he didnt run the business into the ground.
Leon TrotskyDecember 1st, 2008 - 12:47 am
That jerk has spent too much time listening to his own news network.
How else could he be so confused about what’s going on?
Since he thinks so highly of the “honorable” KGB, is it fair to enquire if he belongs to the thing himself?
NickDecember 1st, 2008 - 12:55 am
U.R. Dreaming-
There’s a secret prison on the island of Diego Garcia run by the C.I.A. Look it up and learn something.
Also, you’re incorrect about The United States crimes in South America. In fact the CIA itself went out of its way to install ex-Nazis from Germany into South America to back right-wing regimes in those countries. With the help of the United States, thousands and thousands were killed – many leftists students were dropped out of airplanes.
What revhatchell stated in the previous post is simply irrefutable. While you’re certainly entitled to your own opinion, you’re not entitled to your own facts.
In addition the techniques used in Abu Ghraib were learned directly under the instruction of actual Nazis that served under Hitler. Look up Operation Condor. Much has been declassified.
Manuel Contreras was the main organizer of Operation Condor. He was also employed by the CIA.
Herman GoerringDecember 1st, 2008 - 1:21 am
What have the Nazis and the CIA got to do with Ted Turner who was commenting on the KGB?
No wonder you scatter brain lefties are consistently in error, you can’t keep to the topic.

No wonder CNN is so biased, it was founded by an idiot. If Ted likes the KGB, he must haved loved the Nazi Gestapo and SS. The KGB killed millions of Russians, Poles, Hungarians, Czechs, etc. It suppressed any spark of freedom in the U.S.S.R. How can he ignore the torture chambers in Lubyanka prison? Paranam

Well Nick you poor lame thing, you still can’t stay on topic, but honestly,I didn’t recognize any old pals around President Bush, they all moved to South America in 1945.
It did though send a chill down my spine to see your guy Obama standing at the Siegessaule, shouting at that German crowd of thousands about how he was going to change the world.
I understand though from the Supreme Court calendar, that Obama, in order to change anything, may have to come up with a real birth certificate by next Friday.
GrampsDecember 1st, 2008 - 6:43 am
Hey Nick, when you and revhatchell get done fondling each other and take time out from your gay rights parades, maybe you should sit down and study real history and facts and not those put out by the idiots who like to “Change” things for there benefit. Now, with that said, in regards to Comrade Turner, he should be charged with treason and either sent to his loved country of Russia or put in prison for his actions. Same with his ex, Hanoi Jane.

I’ll never understand how ruthless capitalist billionaires can extol the virtues of communism.
It’s like an auto exec saying people are better off riding bicycles or vegetarians investing in slaughterhouses.
Perhaps once they amass their fortunes, and get a mini-monopoly in place, they suddenly turn up their noses at free-market competition.
Even if that’s the case, I still don’t get it!

Hey Ted would you have made your millions…billions in the USSR? I think not. And to compare our invasion of Afghanistan to the Soviet invasion of ‘79 is outrageous. They were the agressors we had been invaded (remember 9/11? Although you are proably part of that crazy group of Rosie O’donnell conspiracy theorists. I never understood why Turner and Jane Fonda became a couple. Now I understand. A perfect match. I watched Meet the Press yesterday in total shock when I heard all of this garbage coming out this man’s mouth who has made a fortune off of us in the US. What a jerk.

RevH and Nick, To bad Ted wasn’t a journalist now in the new Russia under the old KGB. They still have at least one major journalist murdered by the State on a monthly basis? How bought him working in Red China. His fellow Billionairs at Microsoft, Google and Yahoo would turn him in to the Chi-Coms in a sec so he’d end up as an “Organ Donor”. Oh wait, he’s too old. He’d go to the dog food processing plant with the road kill.

FYI, Ted is just a lonely rancher raising buffalo who owns lots of land and who longs for the companionship of fellow disfunctionary Jane. I suspect he doesn’t actually believe half of what he says, but he nurtures the illusion that making news is synonymous with being important. More to be pitied than censored.

I find it interesting that this spoiled old man a son of privilege and wealth, can still get camera time. He likes to spout off about how evil his country has been to the rest of the world, this country that defends his right to be a girly man. It is surprising that he and Red Jane didn’t stay married both are so like each other.

Actually, Ted gives us a really good insight to the mindset of the uber left. This is how they all think. Ted just has the platform available to dish out their gems. The left hates this country. It is all our fault. That must explain why millions of people around the world are trying by any means possible to get into this country, eh Ted? – The Left, idiots, and built to stay that way.
Sean R.December 1st, 2008 - 1:36 pm
Hey Nick, since you mention “holocaust deniers”, do you know that the president of Iran is a “Holocaust denier” himself, he clearly stated that the holocaust back in the 1930s and early 1940s under Adolph Hitler didn’t exist, and everybody knows that the holocaust did EXIST under Hitler.
Liberalism is a Mental Disorder!!!
AirwickDecember 1st, 2008 - 2:45 pm
Yeah! What is Ted talking about? How can an organization that imprisons people without charges, keep them there without trial, and tortures them to gather information be called “honorable”?
Ooops!

OK, Ted, Let’s go over the drill once more.

AlDecember 1st, 2008 - 5:12 pm
It just amazes me that most of you are focusing on one comment he made and not reflecting on the entire interview. What I gathered is that he’s done more good than most of the world by bailing out the U.S. when it was up to its ears in debt to the UN. Giving $32 million of his own personal money to the US and not asking for a cent back is quite notable. What about all the work he’s doing on the environment? His foundations where he’s giving back to the communities? He’s doing his best to help do away with nuclear weapons to make the world a safer place. He wants the planet to be clean, free of dirty air and a peaceful nation for all. And there isn’t anyone in the world who has done more for the general public than Ted. The creation of CNN, TNT, TCM, purchasing 2 million acres of land to preserve it and return to it’s naturally prestine condition, and putting laws in place to where it can never be developed. Many of you might not agree with him or his opinions, but that’s just that, it’s his own personal opinions — and the last I recall is that we are all entitled to our opinions, no matter how foolish they might sound to others. And, if you really pay attention to the interview you’ll see that he’s speculating how an individual felt working with the KGB. It doesn’t surprise me of the amount of hate so many of you have, and we wonder why our nation is so far behind in the times. Very sad.
Ted’s a turd ball. Those 2 million acres are for his Bison to roam and graze on… until they become bison steaks at his restaurants, and meat processing plants.
So many of Barrack Hussein Obama’s ilk stupidly welcome socialism. I will remain defiant and counter-revolutionary to that ideology. Unlike the limp-wrist lefties…I will fight.

I wouldn’t give the UN a pot to pea in. We shouldn’t even be in the UN. The UN suc** like Farney Branks.
Who do I intend to fight, and how do I intend to do it?
I will fight any illegitimate government, and their unlawful agents attempting to usurp unlawful control over this nation. I will defend myself and my family under my Constitutional right to bear (and use) arms as needed. We have a legal right, nay, the obligation to stave off illegal and oppressive governance by poseurs.
It is how we came to be an independent and free nation. It remains our one guarantee that freedom will continue to ring true in America. Does the statement, “Give me liberty, or give me death!” sound familiar?
…Or not! Liberals don’t have those, do they? The Kool-Aid liberals must drink dissolves one’s soul.
