Hey Shep, can you say man-crush?

Mr. Cheer!   November 12th, 2008 - 2:32 am

Shep digs the mulatto meat.

thiaCyn   November 12th, 2008 - 2:54 am

What a lyin curd dog! And what the -ell is he drinking in that coffee cup? Media died in 2008

HANOI JOHN   November 12th, 2008 - 3:03 am

Hey Sheppy – THE WASHINGTON COMPOST even admits now.

Ever been to http://www.newsbusters.org

jrc   November 12th, 2008 - 3:26 am

Shep, you were never very smart, and still have not learned much.

A few years back, you reacted with bitterness and anger when I criticized a ‘reporter’ in Iraq. Your response was simply that the media is the foundation of our country, and by implication, above serious criticism. What ignorant nonsense.

Of course, you are the product of the current education system – led by teachers who cannot spell, read, or think.

Hey Shep… you asked how Bush won twice. Get ready for a straight dose. The “media” kept their personal persuasions somewhat cloaked for years and tried to report fairly. I believe that.

Then … came 2000. After 8 years of Clinton riding a wave Gore SHOULD have been a shoe-in. Turns out he wasn’t and the race came down to the constitution. The press was outraged and internally they said “That will not happen again, we will see to it”

Forward to 2004 … Bush is vilified in all corners of the media and set up to loose to the media’s new weapon … Kerry. The media feeling that this one was in the bag, backed Kerry without saying so and constantly took shots at Bush. Bush wins again. The media was SHOCKED and THIS time vowed on the lives of their first born that this will NEVER EVER happen again!

The nearly two year campaign first with HRC and BHO was covered in such a way to ASSURE victory to the liberal candidate of THEIR choice. Ask HRC after a couple of drinks if the media was unbiased. The ground swell of support for BHO was generated by the media. True, he did present a package that the American liberals loved BUT only did the liberal lemmings buy it when the media put it up for sale.

Now the media can sit back and pat each other on the back for ‘coming through’ for their team. All of your faux indignation cannot erase the millions of miles of video tape that is in every media outlet in this country. Books will be written defending both sides of this issue. Talking heads will point and counter-point it to their last breath, but the result is clear. YOU won. Without the bias of the American media and their clear determination to get their man elected this time the results may have been the same… but we will never know for sure.

David Zukerman   November 12th, 2008 - 4:06 am

What about the analysis by the ombudsperson of The Washington Post of its obvious pro-Obama slant?

TruthTeller   November 12th, 2008 - 4:14 am

Um… Shepard? You need to watch OTHER news sources than Fox News. It was the only network NOT in the tank for Obama

Ever heard of “investigative journalism”? Ever heard of Watergate and the Washington Post, the NEWSpaper that brought down a president?

NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, MSNBC, PBS, NPR, as well as the NYTimes, LATimes, et.al. IGNORED dozens of very serious and very troubling news stories, situations, allegations and associations re: Barak Obama.

Any ONE of them would have made headline news for weeks had it been John McCain (or any Republican, for that matter). Much better to report for weeks on Sarah Palin’s daughter’s being pregnant, or her wardrobe than millions of illegal campaign donations to Obama or a close working relationship for years with domestic terrorists.

Shepard- you are beginning to sound like an Omabaton. Perhaps you should move to MSNBC… maybe Kieth Olberman needs an understudy?

Thomas Pain   November 12th, 2008 - 4:30 am

Sheppard… It was the MSM sins of OMISSION that were deplorable during this election cycle. I always knew you to be a liberal. While the McCain campaign was lacking at best, Where were the boat loads of “INVESTIGATING JOURNALISTS” looking into Obama, they way in which you all went”LOOKING” into poor Sarah Palin?
PULEEESE Smith, don’t even TRY this one, It’s beneath you.

Bobo   November 12th, 2008 - 5:33 am

Red-state Krypto-Kommie Republicans?
Eat your hearts out. Despair and die.

sue england   November 12th, 2008 - 5:58 am

Poor shep smith. He is such a die hard liberal. I watched him cover Katrina and he crucified Bush every day. Now he doesn’t think msm was in the tank for Obama. Obviously he can’t see the forest for the trees. I turn this man off Fox everytime he comes on the air, and now you can see why. I’m glad Drudge drew this to everyone’s attention. Shep is just plain uninformed.

Eagle Eye   November 12th, 2008 - 5:59 am

Hey BoBo, who are the states asking for handout’s from the Fed right now, the commie blue states with the libtards in charge. New York, California, and more to come. get your head out of your ***

Arnold Mechanic   November 12th, 2008 - 6:22 am

Shepard Smith has long been an embarrassment for those of us who look to Fox News for reliability and intelligence. He always has been very unsophisticated and shows no sign that he does any homework to keep himself minimally informed. Study after study, including from liberal sources like the Washington Post and the Pew Foundation, have demonstrated the Obama bias of the MSM. He screams “preposterous” at his guest who points this out. Aggressiveness like his combined with a lack of intelligence is a witch’s brew.

For Shepard to know nothing about the MSM Obama bias is truly bewildering. What country does he live in? And to add insult to injury, the FNC Judge pipes up with support for this absurdity. I don’t really believe the Judge believes what he said in order to prop up an over-matched Smith.

With Brit Hume, as sophisticated as any contemporary journalist around, retiring from FNC, and Smith too dense to understand his own intellectual limitations, things don’t seem to be too bullish for the Fox News Channel. It’s truly sad.

null001   November 12th, 2008 - 6:34 am

since when is journalism supposed to “reflect what was happening in this nation”?

i thought that was the fashion/entertainment industry….

Steve-a-rino   November 12th, 2008 - 7:32 am

Dear all,

Tell us, how does “the Shep” get two hours every day Mon through Fri anyway?

SaraforAmerica   November 12th, 2008 - 7:47 am

Doesn’t he ever talk to Sean Hannity in the hallway?

What a freakin’ disappointment. Obviously he’s just another “reader of the news” prompter. The rest of the time he spends practicing his smirks in the mirror.

Sara   November 12th, 2008 - 8:00 am

Fox has commentators (Hannity, Colmes, Blowhard, Juan, Gretta) and they they are supposed to have “reporters”: Shep, Carl Cameron…

Shep Smith, at the beginning was a reporter with a Southern college-aged snipper style, but he managed to snipe both parties with real facts and information. I respected him for that. His bias was not off the wall for Democrats as it is now. Now he is like the drama queen leading the Left wing gay parade every day on Fox “news.” Carl Cameron is an embarassment to Fox; like a giddy little liberal girl reporting stuff he makes up or from sources who turn out to be frauds. He and Shep read from the latest slam book published by the Kos Kidz and MSNBC and pretend they are reporting “news.” Blowhard loves the dirty slam book stuff…but we all know his problem.

Obviously Britt Holmes used to run the shop and keep the reporters professional on Fox. No more. Chris Wallace has failed to keep the brand of Fox anywhere near professional although he plays a professional reporter on TV like Tom Brokaw plays a professional reporter on TV. Britt’s thrown his hands up. So have I. Fox is no worth watching anymore for Republicans and Democrats watch MSNBCCNNNBCCBS and want Fox off the air. I don’t care.

Bobc   November 12th, 2008 - 8:04 am

I used to like Shep, he was making news more enjoyable to watch, then something happened to him…

The MSM were so bias this year, they should have hung out “campaign headquarters” above their heads.

No investigative reports on Obama’s past, didn’t tell their viewers Obama’s agenda……many on Fox News did, but it appeared to me, Shep fell into line with the Obama march.

I still watch Fox news, but at 7pm I watch Lou Dobbs….Shep personality just seems changed from what it once was.

Neal E   November 12th, 2008 - 8:30 am

The MSM isn’t supposed to reflect the way the mood of the country is. It is to investigate and report on BOTH candidates..period.

One only need watch AMessNBC to see the glaring example of extreme bias.

I still like Shep…he is WAY off base on this, but he is still ok.

Say what???   November 12th, 2008 - 8:33 am

NO! NO! NO! Its not the General Medias bias that got Barack Hussein Obama Elected it was W’s fault. Liberal Democrats can’t take the blame for their own actions, they just blame everyone else. Blame Bush he was a factor, the primary factors were The left-leaning media bias and the ignorance of the majority of our duped electorate. Shep? It should be Sheep…herder- that is. FOX news does have balance that the rest don’t, they have snot nose chumps also and the other outlets are filled with these pathetic little wimps.

Brenda   November 12th, 2008 - 8:42 am

I removed MSNBC from my channel listings in disgust. Is it even legal to make such a false comment on a “news” channel?

I have a few black friends that use Fox to justify every other news channel being overwhelmingly slanted toward Obama.

LETS START THE BOYCOTT OF MSNBC AND COMPANIES WHO ADVERTISE WITH THEM – TODAY!!

claspur   November 12th, 2008 - 9:02 am

This is the article posted on Drudge I couldn’t get through reading late, yesterday afternoon.

Get to know a cop or a dozen….they won’t even back Treason.

Still wondering what book Barry will get sworn-in with, his hand on?
This clown is a pizzant.<period

He’s going to get alot of innocent people slaughtered.

BILL5321   November 12th, 2008 - 9:52 am

CBS, NBC, CNN all supported Obama.

Fox supported McCain.

Only Fox is making money. Plus they are number 1 in everytime slot.

The winner is Fox News!

Shep is proof that there are aliens among us! Look at that guy , you can’t really believe that guy is a human. He is a clueless alien to boot.

Gina-Tennessee   November 12th, 2008 - 10:05 am

I have a new brand of hate for the media. I only watch Fox News, because it is the only news source not in the Liberal Tank. Why does the Left think they need to teach us about their brand of idiocy? It is already taught in schools, especially at the University level. Most young people, and sadly many adults, do not even understand what Communism or Socialism is, let alone what our own Constitution says. We are on alert as a nation. Thank goodness for the Internet and radio (at least until the Fairness Doctrine gets ushered in). We have a responsibility as a free nation to demand decent journalism. Make those calls, and write those letters. Let your voices be heard and don’t give away the freedoms that have been fought for and won. Each generation is responsible for its own freedom (Ronald Reagan).

The Prophet Obama   November 12th, 2008 - 10:09 am

Remember when Shep got locked up for busting another driver in the chops for taking his parking place?

I’m guessing he is still on crack!!!

Get this...   November 12th, 2008 - 10:17 am

Steve-a-rino – It’s because they (FOXNEWS) is ahead of the Faaairness Doctrine, they are fair and balanced…much more soo than any other Media outlet. Personally I would rather it (FOXNEWS) to be completely slanted toward the RIGHT SIDE. That being said, their balance puts them on top…proof is in the numbers.

To: ALL -Freedom loving capitalist across this once great Country- Buckle up, this ride is going to get rough. To everyone else, enjoy your BIG Gov./Wealth distribution while it last.

One question? Please, opine…
What has happened to our Country and its foundation?

Ann Frankly   November 12th, 2008 - 10:17 am

Really, the way he looks he should be call PUG not Shep!

Caine   November 12th, 2008 - 10:19 am

Personally, I think Shep voted for Obama and it shows. That aside, Fox gets blamed for merely reporting the news, but any idea he has that CNN, MSNBC, CBS, NBC, and ABC, plus all of newsprint were not attacking McCain and supporting and excusing Obama…or even attacking Hillary! That notion is the only thing that could be preposterous. The media hates conservatives and goes out of their way to report negatives. They love Obama and will not report negatives the same way they would report on Bush. Shep, you’re crazy.

LDC   November 12th, 2008 - 10:20 am

No wonder Shep’s rating have been on a steady decline. He’s too cute by half.

Taynia   November 12th, 2008 - 10:27 am

Didn’t SNL even make fun of MSNBC’s bias? I mean. That’s pretty bad if SNL thinks you’re too far left. And there another show with a liberal slant. Not news media, but media nonetheless.

Bill   November 12th, 2008 - 10:36 am

Wow !!! Asleep …his statement is ‘PREPOSTEROUS

Gina-Tennessee   November 12th, 2008 - 10:37 am

In reply to: One question? Please, opine…
What has happened to our Country and its foundation?
—————————————
Our schools have failed to teach civics, government and history as well as the art of critical thinking and understanding fallacies (http://www.nizkor.org/features/fallacies/). We are a homeschooling family, and we will be teaching our children to actually read and know the Constitution, Pledge of Allegiance and foremost the Bible. There is nothing new under the sun, and for those who think they have some new answer to our problems, they need only look at history to see that these questions have been answered before. We do have the responsibility to hold our leaders and the media responsible. Half this country will go back to their lattés and articles on global warming, the other half will fight for the very existence of the USA.

El Capitan   November 12th, 2008 - 11:10 am

What an ignorant idiot. Is he THAT blind?

Don   November 12th, 2008 - 11:23 am

Hahaha!

This is the “balanced” side of Fox.

Republicans sure are crying about their loss. Don’t blame the media, blame yourselves. YOU are the ones that pushed in a candidate that the center was sure to reject. The Democrats could have offered Dennis Kucinich and won just as soundly. YOU are the ones who put another old war monger and his trophy bimbo on the ballot, not the MSM.

Lee   November 12th, 2008 - 11:45 am

Bar the door Nelly! Shep’s gone around the bend!

Only explanation for his thought process — poor guy was so busy he didn’t have time to partake of the non-stop Obama stroking by the mainstream media!

Wonder if he believes as Matthews does: it’s now “his job as a journalist as doing everything he can to make the Obama presidency a success.”

What happened to who, what, when, where and why? Now all we get is someone’s opinion!

Neal E   November 12th, 2008 - 11:46 am

Don:
“YOU are the ones who put another old war monger and his trophy bimbo on the ballot, not the MSM.”

Even when you libs win you’re angry. Be happy..you won…and the country lost.

revhatchell   November 12th, 2008 - 11:51 am

looks like shep got the call to be vanguard for the new fox agenda.

rupert doesn’t care about your conservative beliefs suckas.

kill your tv, free your mind.

ED   November 12th, 2008 - 11:52 am

Shep is a silly smirking fratboy. I always wondered what they saw in this guy. I usually turn him off. The guy just creeps me out. He has that “daterapist” look.

YEP   November 12th, 2008 - 11:54 am

BOBO, how appropriate!! Great name for you!!

Biden 2009   November 12th, 2008 - 12:01 pm

Let’s see if Shep will be in the tank for President Biden in 2009.

Biden 2009!
Yes We Can!

Mel Iowa   November 12th, 2008 - 12:17 pm

Maybe he can be Chris Matthews sidekick. I watch Fox News to try and stay away from all the left wing, liberal garbage and here Shep has to open his liberal mouth and ruin that. “Life’s not fair but GOD is good.” HE (GOD) is fair and balanced thank goodness!!!

Dev   November 12th, 2008 - 12:59 pm

The MSM is even admitting now to the extreme bias towards Obama in both the Democratic Primaries and the Presidential election. You have to be brain-dead not to acknowledge it. We still do not know very much about our President Elect. We’ll just have to see how he does and it appears he is listening to some of the brighter minds in politics, foreign policy and on the economy. Basically he is learning how to be Senator Clinton. :D

The Rev   November 12th, 2008 - 1:16 pm

Shepherd Smit is a pin head

retire05   November 12th, 2008 - 2:49 pm

Shepard Smith showed his liberal bias during/after Katrina. I was there is Ms. right after the hurricane and none of the things Smith was reporting was true. People of MS. were upbeat, did not blame the federal government for the disaster or the fact that they were living in tents and trailers provided by the taxpayer are were pretty damn proud of how other Americans stepped up to the plate to help them. But that was not the story Smith told.

Yesterday, just by accident, I tuned into Smith waiting for Brit Hume. Smith made some snide comment about Greta’s interview with Palin talking about the clothing. He demeanon was “yeah, right, lying hick”.

You have to wonder why Fox got the “extreme” right wing label when it is Smith that is given the prime spot of evening news. I won’t make the mistake of watching him again.

I put Smith in the same catagory as Bob (they are all racist crackers) Beckel.

Matt   November 12th, 2008 - 3:09 pm

This comic is absurd. The Republicans have dominated the executive branch for nearly 40 years, with the exception of 8 years of Clinton and four of Carter. The Bush crime family alone, has dominated the Executive and Judicial branches (appointments to Supremes) for a grand total of 12 years.

pauleriksen   November 12th, 2008 - 4:22 pm

Shep, behind your baby-face is a tiger: Your anger at the lack of response to Katrina, your anger at Ralph Nader, and now your response here. I hate to tell you, but you are 2 for 3 now. You are dead wrong about the MSM, period! (You need to ask yourself, ‘Do I need another vacation?’)

Eileen for Freedom/Liberty   November 12th, 2008 - 6:35 pm

I have noticed a big, big change in Shepard Smith in the last few months…even thinking…that he was for the “Messiah of Islam”…I also thought that about Bill O’Reilly!

But Shephard has been way out of line lately…something going on in the station? I even heard him swear on the air one day…totally unprofessional. I think maybe he needs a very, very long vacation…maybe a trip over to MSNBC!

AMERICA BLESS GOD….ASK HIS FORGIVENESS FOR OUR TURNING HIM OUT OF OUR COURTS, OUR CLASSROOMS AND OUR GOVERNMENT! HE IS OUR ONLY HOPE AND SALVATION!

Russs   November 12th, 2008 - 10:51 pm

I have been watching the attempt Shep Smith has been making to be relevant for the last few months. His outburst here is typical johnny come lately self defense of a media he is TRYING to be part of. The two events I have thought most telling is his self rightous attack on Ralph Nadar and this pathetically reasoned response. In both cases Shep sounded like he should be working for MSNBC. He is the weakest link in the Fox news group. He is not objective, he is just angry. What a pathetic excuse for a news anchor..

Shep the Shlep   November 13th, 2008 - 8:11 am

The media reflects what part of the USA? Which special interest this time? Gays? Blacks? Homeless? Give me a break.

The media DRIVES public opinion………….This debate has raged since storytelling began, but SHEP knows the answer. Bull Shep.

Doug   November 13th, 2008 - 2:46 pm

My two favorite media moments of this election-1)Hillary’s campaign mgr. saying the only news outlet to treat them fairly was Fox News.
2)After the MSM smear merchants were digging through palin’s garbage and reported that Todd Palin had a DUI when he was 22 yrs. old, the DNC had a special tribute to Ted “Chappaquiddick” Kennedy.

peter c   November 13th, 2008 - 6:26 pm

Hate is at the center of homosexuality and Shemp here is always showing it. He has been saying snide remarks about O’Reilly just seconds before O’Reilly comes on for months now.
When he comes on at 7Pm I shut FOX off now.I get my news from the net. All the mainstream network news is so bias it’s sickening and CNN and Headline news too.The woman who replaced Glenn at Headline is one of the worst Obama lovers on TV.
Shemp should go to MSNBC.
Better yet…he should take over the radio show in San Fran that just fired their Gay DJ for saying he wants Joe The Plumber to be killed.

B   November 18th, 2008 - 5:58 pm

California electorial commitee files lawsuit to have obama show his birth certificate. Stroll past names on suit and get to meat of document and realize obama refuses to show his REAL birth certificate. Yes, we have the fake one from Hawaii but he has the one that gives the doctors name that delivered him. We need to demand that the judges require this before he is sworn in.
Hey Shep why don’t you do some real reporting. I wish they would remove you from FOX. Report This!!

His own grandmother from Kenya is recorded saying she was there at obama’s birth in Kenya.

Alan Keyes filed a suit against Obama on Nov.12,2008 in the Superior Court of California. Keyes wants documentation.
